(Mochipan is half my closet)

I don't think that my title is hyperbole. I love this brand, I've been purchasing from them for at least a year and a half at this point, and I just want to say that if you're on this site trying to determine whether or not this brand is legit--it is. It's also so much more than that but thought I should put that in the first paragraph.

I will say you should understand the business model before you buy. If you see a piece that is a pre-sample pre-order or something floating around the concepts page on Instagram and you buy it expecting it to get there the following week, you're going to be disappointed. Unless something is in-stock, it's going to take a bit to get to you, and even some of the in-stock things are in China which still takes a bit to ship. Make sure to look at the timelines on your specific piece before purchasing if it's time sensitive.

The brand is also small, so there is a likelihood that some projects will be delayed which kind of comes with the territory. Sometimes this is due to supply-side issues (see: Tarrifs) and sometimes this is due to the "good" kind of quality issues (they will not ship a product that they are not 100% behind, so occasionally a delay will occur based on them requiring more edits of the factory).

Putting this forward--yes the brand is not the cheapest in the world. They have a couple decent sales (Black Friday lucky bags!!!), but they also have a great Patreon discount which pays for itself if you're making a decently sized purchase in that month. However, the quality on this fabric is amazing. If you are a sensory person and you are wondering about the fabrics on things like the Cardigans--it's delightful. The little details are always well-done, and I feel like I do truly get what I pay for.

One thing that I will say is that support with Mochipan is one of the easier interactions I've had. I've had packages lost, delayed, basically any bad scenario you can think of. You send an email to support and they're getting back to you in 24 hours, honestly probably like 4.

It's a small company, they're really only a few people, but I'll keep buying from them as long as they keep sending things out. So if you ended up getting to the end of this and are still wondering if they're legit, yes, yes they are.

Mochipan: My experience

I have made a few orders from Mochipan, and even posted reviews on their official website, but wanted to post one here too.

Mochipan is an indie clothing brand run by a wonderful team willing to be extremely transparent with their customers. Posts on Instagram, Youtube and Threads are abundant, news letters are sent out at least once a month, and the staff are almost always available and willing to help. Their official Discord is also well-managed and hosts a wonderful community where you can regularly meet with some of the team members (if not The Mochipan herself!).

I've purchased the Fleur Dress in Carmine and the Garden Overalls and they ooze quality.
Fleur has lots of lovely detailing, wonderful fabric choice, with several layers in the skirt and a cotton lining against the skin. She falls beautifully and is so fun to dance in!
The garden overalls are lined with cotton too, and the outer fabric choice is wonderful. It has a lovely hand feel, and the entire garment is so comfortable. The embroidery is lovely, the shape is so flattering. I've gotten compiimented every time I wear it outside!

All in all I'm more than pleased with my experience of this brand and I will be a repeat customer!

Tldr: lovely staff that's easily available over mail and Discord, transparent owner, amazing clothing quality. Will be buying again!

More than clothing, it’s community

Mochipan has been such a special brand to me, not just for the clothes but for the care, transparency, and community behind it. I have made multiple large purchases over time, and every single piece has been worth the wait. The quality is always top tier, thoughtfully made, and truly feels special when it arrives.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Silver, who runs the Discord community. She has been an absolute angel, especially while I have been in a big weight fluctuation earlier this year. She is always patient, kind, and incredibly helpful with sizing adjustments and order support, which has made such a difference for me.

I also really love how thoughtful Rae is about the entire process. She actively gathers feedback and consistently provides updates through Discord and Patreon, which makes you feel genuinely included and respected as a customer. Yes, shipping can take a bit, but this is slow fashion done right. Mochipan is always worth the wait and the investment.

Best clothing designs Ive seen

I have bought many things from Mochipan! I have the Rosey Maple moth sweater, Spanish Moon moth sweater, blueberry pie purse, Rosey Maple moth purse, Short mushroom dress, AND the Garden Overalls. Im also excitedly waiting for the Spanish moon moth dress to finish!

I can confidently say that without a doubt from quality products to customer service Mochipan is the best! I have always had any issues handled swiftly, and any questions i had answered. The products are wonderful quality and such beautiful designs. If there are ever quality issues, they stand behind providing anything they can to ensure the issues are resolved.

If you are looking for a small business with big dream designs that come to life, this is it. Every single thing I have ordered has been worth every penny, and I already have a list of things I want to order next.

Genuinely makes me feel like myself!!

Every single piece of clothing I have ever ordered from this company has been wonderful and high quality. I get compliments everywhere I go, from people of all walks of life. I am not very confident in my looks, and I have generalized anxiety and issues with being in public, and thus I spent most of my life flying under the radar, dressing simple despite my love for fashion and fantastical clothing until about five years ago. In those five short years, no piece of clothing I've owned has ever made me feel as confident and as wonderful as Mochipan clothes have. The two moth cardigans I own are vibrant and soft, with beautiful silhouettes (I feel like a fairy when I wear these LOL). The Starry Dance Dress, while a little tight around the shoulders, sits perfectly on me and is so well-made!! Same with the Fall Spell dress, which has the most flattering & gorgeous shape ever. Their bags leave nothing to be desired - I purchased a pie bag for a friend, and have heard nothing but love for it, and my own moth purse is beautiful and solidly made!

I have only needed customer support once, and it was to fix an error that was partially my fault (Shopify autofilled the wrong address, and I was moving too quickly through checkout to catch it - I also didn't notice it was wrong until it had already shipped). I was able to retrieve the package from the address it ended up at (it was a friend's address), and they offered me a gas credit to ensure I didn't overspend on transit. I didn't end up taking it but it was a very sweet gesture that has stuck in my mind ever since!

In addition, I find that, as someone with a lot of shipping + preorder anxiety (i dont like unclosed loops), Mochipan's thorough and consistent transparency and updates on their pre-order processes is incredibly relieving! Pre-order updates are easily accessed on a public blog hosted on the website itself that's updated every two weeks. Most recently, I ordered from their Bakery collection released in October-ish, and I cannot stress how helpful and meticulous their updates on these pieces have been! The Mochipan staff are incredibly friendly and kind, and all clearly care deeply about the community they have built. I rarely ever find myself "brand loyal", but in Mochipan's case, I absolutely am.

Amazing Team Begind Mochipan!

I ordered a lucky bag from Mochipan as my first purchase from them. Having watched them for awhile but never being able to purchase due to funds I thought this would be a chance to try them out. I didn't care what I got except swimwear, and I messaged them to tell them about this request after making my order (couldn't figure out how to make a order comment, user error). Silver quickly got back to me and let me know that my request was added to the order.

Fast forward to receiving my order. I was very excited, I opened it in the kitchen with my SO buzzing to try on what I got and show him, only to open the parcel and see a swimsuit. I was instantly disappointed because I don't swim due to disability, but I also am not one to complain especially when I know how lucky bags work and such. However my SO convinced me to message them and just ask since I did make a request. He got me cheered up and I tried everything on, ecstatic with the other items.

Later I messaged and almost instantly got a reply from Silver who apologized and said they were going to ask if anything could be done. I then got another email with what they got as a response, which was a very thoughtful long response and clearly not just your average cut and paste one! As well as a resolution asking me to send some more info so they could calculate things on their end.

I then got another email with information on how to proceed, in the end I was given a refund in store credit for the swimsuit and apologized to again for the mistake. Everyone who I spoke to or Silver relayed messages from was extremely nice and caring. I was treated like a person and though they did not have to refund me at all, let alone the whole amount for the swimsuit due to the nature of lucky bags they went above and beyond in making sure I was treated well. This is amazing customer service, and an amazing team who makes sure customers feel not only heard but are treated like people and not just money flow. I may not be able to buy alot because of funds but you best bet even if I can't purchase as much as I want to I am now a member of their patreon to show my ongoing support.

High quality and cozy

I ordered a few of the cardigans for me and my friends, I wear mine around the house all the time and my friends also loved theirs. They are heavier than you would expect ordering from an online shop, and they fit well. The print is also very nice and I'm not worried about it peeling or anything. I think this is all a testament to the care put into finding the best materials and quality control by the shop owner. The shipping can take a while but the site is very clear about which items are in which state of production, mine arrive right around the timeframe stated when I placed the order

I purchased a moth cardigan on December…

I purchased a moth cardigan on December 1, 2025 and still have not received any communication. I checked the site for tracking information and it states order not found! They took my money and it was A LOT. It was a Christmas present for my granddaughter and now it looks like she won’t have anything to open Christmas morning. Very upset and angry. Can’t talk to anyone, have to leave a comment on their contact page, which I have done. If you even read these reviews, Moochipan, please contact me asap. (49506)

Absolute nightmare

I placed my order for two items in late October and they were shipped out within a day or two. Listed as out for delivery on November 8. I did not receive them after 2 or 3 days listed as out for delivery so I contacted the shipper. They said to expect delivery within 48 hours so I was patient and waited until it had been listed as out for delivery for over a week and still had received nothing. Reached out to Mochipan and was told they would reach out to the shipper and get back with me withing 2-3 business days. After 6 days I had gotten complete radio silence from both Mochipan and the shipper. Reached out again, was told they listed my shipment as lost and would ship a new one within 48 hours. This was on 11/24. I did not receive an email saying they issued a new order or had a new tracking number so on the 1st of December I reached out AGAIN and they said it got lost in the bustle of Black Friday and they would look into it again for me and get a tracking number "asap" and yet 4 days later I have no email, no tracking number, no items and I am out $300. I have been in love with Mochipans stuff for at least 2 years and finally pulled the trigger and I have nothing but regrets and a bad taste in my mouth. I can't say that I would ever recommend ordering from this company. I will likely have to dispute the charge with my bank in the next day or two if I still have no tracking number.

Edited 12.23.25 I finally got an email back from them after posting this review with a tracking number and I did receive my replacement items on the 16th. They are very nice quality (something I was never in doubt of) and had I not had such a headache of an experience I probably would have ordered another moth cardigan. However, because I did not receive my in stock items until 8 weeks after ordering and over 6 weeks after the first was listed as out for delivery, I can't say that's a risk I'm willing to take again.

There was an issue (resolved!)

There was an issue with my order, which was successfully resolved in the end, but made me worry quite a lot.

I ordered one of the moth cardigans back in April, and the issue wasn't the release dates being pushed back (I'm actually cool with that because Mochipan always lets the customers know why that is), it was that my order wasn't shipped weeks after the announcement that all moth cardigans have been shipped :( I contacted customer service, and the package was sent to me shortly after (this may have been due to a problem with the platform they used to process orders, as I could infer from the Instagram stories?) I was also concerned after seeing the reviews from customers that supposedly never got the packages that weren't delivered the first time, but it got to me safe and relatively quickly :3

Overall I'd say it was worth it, and despite this hiccup, I'll be purchasing from Mochipan again, should they release the masc designs I've been eyeing. I know Rae prefers feminine designs, but one can hope ^_^

Estimated Time VERY off

Mochipan needs to work on time estimates. While I completely understand that preorders are preorders, that this is a small business, that things take time and often way longer than expected, and that tariff uncertainties changed things, I still am quite frustrated with my experience with Mochipan. I ordered a pre sample pre order moth cardigan in November with an expected delivery of January. I only received the cardigan on July 2. The worst part, though, was the constant, overoptimistic schedule updates. It felt like every biweekly update we'd get a promise they'd be ready in the next few weeks, when this was not accurate at all. I honestly didn't mind waiting, but the inaccurate estimates meant I had *no* idea how long it would be. The cardigan itself is nice. Well made and a cute design, although a little thinner than I'd expect for the price tag. I ordered a few other things as well, and all of them are nice and well designed.

I truly want Mochipan to succeed. I do like small businesses and do want to support them. However, I think it is an important part of a business to be able to properly estimate how long things will take. I do not believe it was with any malice that Mochipan had incorrect assumptions, but really, after the first few schedule slips, surely they would have realized they needed to be more pessimistic with their time estimations. If I got an update in January that they wouldn't be there until July, sure, I would have been frustrated, but at least I wouldn't have been frustrated twice a month for half a year.

The BEST clothes and AMAZING service

It’s amazing to find a store selling unique functional clothing. On preorders customers get to be a part of the design process through insta and their discord feedback. Customer service is fast and friendly and I’m always blown away by the quality and fit of each item I receive.

High quality, clear communications with pre orders, incredible customer service, etc

This brand is absolutely amazing from top to bottom. Ive ordered multiple items, and had some issues with one order. Here's my experience.

Even though their clothing is mainly recycled polyester, the clothing repeatedly feels high quality and it wears insanely comfortably. The reason they use recycled polyester iver cotton is not based on money, it is environmental based. The owner has made multiple videos explaining this, she was very thorough and well spoken. I highly recommend those curious about it, to seek out those videos! Tldr, the type of material (despite what many may think) does NOT feel cheap, instead its highly durable and feels incredible to wear. The quality is amazing 👏

Their pre orders have gotten a lot of hate for long wait times. While yes the wait can be long and deadlines pushed back, the company is 100% transparent about the process of each pre order product. They have a bi weekly pre order update with updated timelines and reasoning. Im 100% okay with deadlines being pushed back. sometimes its the manufacturers fault which is out of mochipans hands and they have since change manufacturers because of that, other times its because the product is not up to standards. With the prices im paying i expect the clothes to be what I paid so id rather not have a rushed unfinished product. The main reason im okay with this is because of how transparent they are about wait times and how often they give updates on each products. The time the take to do the bi weekly updates definitely shows in how detailed they write each pre order.

Ive ordered many items from mochipan and im waiting on 2 more, with that many items there's bound to be a time I need customer service for an order. There was many factors and details to what happened and it was stressful for both of us, some factors were out of control or unexpected for both parties. A big issue was communicating between the mochipan team and miscommunication from me. It is not what happens that matter the most, it is how the brand handles the issue(s) and how the customer feels afterwards. Mochipan pulled out all the stops for me even though that order was only my 2nd order. They handled it beautifully with me even with the miscommunications in the team. They offered me multiple ways to resolve the issues, and all the ways they offered pmade me more than happy. They took care and time for me. Even during their hiatus a new (unexpected) issue popped up and the team and the owner themselves took care it right away. IMPECCABLE. Unheard of even. This dreadfully stressful for both parties was solved effectively and in the end I was extremely satisfied with everything. This moment was so impactful, they EARNED a repeat customer for life.

They CARE about their customers. They dont just treat their customers well they ACTUALLY CARE. A great example is the "OG Moth Cardigan" after it was created and ready to be shipped out, they noticed a very minor difference. One of the colours is off from the reference drawn photos theyve posted. Mind you this detail is so minor that the cardigan still looked beautiful but the mochipan team decided to create a more accurate cardigan to the reference. The best part is they offered 2 options to those who preordered. option 1, ship out the 'miscoloured' cardigan now. Option 2, you can choose to switch to get the 'recoloured' version free of charge, you just need to wait for production. This shows very well how much they value their customers happiness. They didn't have to change the colour, they didn't have to even give the option to choose, they could've pushed the deadline back again. They thought about us consumers even if that means more work amd possibly less income. That is dedication.

The quality, The clarity with pre orders, the customer service, the love for their customers, are the main 4 i LOVE this brand with all my heart. There are many more reasons, but this review is already so long😅
Their prices are high but justified, their wait is long but worth it, any issues are solved with care for the customer. This is my favourite brand full stop. 🫶💕💕💕

Actually so bummed to give this rating

Actually so bummed to give this rating. I saw the moth cardigan mock ups and fell in love. I run a nature center and museum and knew I wanted one. I'm giving 1 star because I haven't received my sweater I ordered in February. Its almost July. I am actually so okay with waiting and totally understand delays. I genuinely appreciate that there are regular updates on things like that. There are two issues I have and I hope if this review is seen it'll be taken to heart. 1. Multiple preorders running at the same time is fine but given that you're a small batch company, you need to limit them. The excuse for late shipping has consistently been the volume of orders for the specific cardigan I ordered. Meanwhile you have tons of other preorders happening for other clothes. You're over extending and it's not worth it even if the initial capital looks nice. 2. The response I just received says that because I ordered so long ago my order got an additional delay (after about 5 others) on shipping because it has to be entered manually. I'm being penalized because I believed in the product early on? While I appreciate the honesty, I should have never been told that. After I reached out about two separate shipping dates were missed my order should have been pulled and sent. I love your concepts, art, and obvious care you put into the art aspect but the business aspect is failing. Its okay for things to be exclusive in order for them to make it to customers. Its okay to focus on the art and thus sacrifice mass production/ appeal but taking decent sums of money and constantly going back on your word makes you untrustworthy. I hope your business can grow and flourish in a way that benefits both you and your customers.

New things being made while I haven't even gotten my item.

i'm sorry I can't give your store a higher review but I've been continuously ignored through emails and comments, and messages asking about the garden overalls and when they're going to be shipped out and nobody including her Discord mods can give me a date. She's already restocking them too and hasn't even sent them out and I feel incredibly disrespected over that because I feel like I'm not a priority. If this isn't resolved soon, I'm going to chargeback on my credit card and never order or support Rae ever again. Updating this to a 1 star because she has made a post saying she's giving another design a chance after people put money into it and ordered them, so in this post she basically admits that there were NEVER samples made of this specific item, and that she took money from several people who paid for the outfit. Taking people's money and running is so shallow. I will now be supporting Nyahallo, because unlike you, she doesn't harass her followers to change their reviews, & doesn't use her platform to blatantly lie and steal money, and from other creators.

Another update. They tried to get my review taken down, I got an email about it. 💀😂. You're really that desperate to go out and harass your customers to change their reviews. Grow up, Rae.

Clarity regarding the latest updates:

I, Max, from Mochipan Customer Care, had sent an email requesting more information on the review via Trustpilot's interface, asking for clarification as the experience described in your initial review was inconsistent with our records.

No attempts have thus far been made to get the review removed, and there has been no harrassment of any kind by part of Mochipan or its associated team members.

Happy Aunt

I was planning to buy a Pumpkin Patch Pinafore dress, Cardigans, and a Swimsuit along with it for my 12 year old niece and I asked their chatbot (no human people in "Chat With Us" section and they said that I could not buy it and told me it was against their policies! It's just some clothes and she really really wants it for her 13th birthday. She also loves Mochipan and their clothes. Can't a 13 year old wear a Swimsuit, a Dress, and a Cardigan? She cannot find any other brand with Mochipan's quality and unique designs. I'd like to find out why it's against Mochipan's policies. My niece wanted to write a review here but I wrote it for her as she was too shy.

(Edit: Thanks Mochipan for your response, but I think you should Update Terms and Conditions to clarify)

Hi there! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is very, very strange. I am sending a request to find your email address so I can check our chat logs and see exactly what went wrong.
To clarify, there is absolutely no age limit on our clothing, and anyone is allowed to purchase or enjoy it. Depending on location, there are some restrictions on agr that are at the federal/legal level for online shopping, which *might* be the case here - but either way, our chat bot shouldn't be saying anything to this effect. Happy to get this sorted out for you.

I love Mochipan

I love Mochipan! The clothes are nicely made and fun. They have pre-sample pre-orders that can take a while but that is part of the fun! You get to see the process that the clothes are going through and what it takes to get an item to market. If you get the newsletter, then you get weekly updates to your email about the pre-orders. You can also find the updates on the blog. I wear my items at least 3 days a week and get complimented whenever I wear them.
