Flexible Tutoring Service
Our daughter just finished GCSE today. We worked with Harrogate Tutors as part of the MME network - we had moved back to the UK and my daughter was transitioning from IGCSE to GCSE. We started with online Maths twice weekly from November and had a really positive experience going through the whole course quickly and then onto past papers - this helped my daughter move from borderline Core to confident Higher. Her January Science mocks were a little disappointing too as she only started Year 11 in late October so we were able to add a science tutor too to help her ensure her place in Higher level. The tutors had a different style but both connected well, met my daughter where she was in her learning and above all really boosted her confidence to tackle past papers, revise herself and believe in her ability to secure good grades at GCSE! Definitely worth the investment in Year 11 to meet your child's individual circumstances and learning needs in specific subjects. I'd really recommend it for any children in complicated circumstances or lacking in subject confidence. Great flexibility too on adding in extra sessions and working the schedule around the exam papers themselves. Schools do their best, but there is little to beat intensive 1 on 1 tailored sessions when high stakes exams are on the horizon.

It’s really great to hear how supportive the tutoring through Harrogate Tutors and the wider MME network was for your daughter during such an important transition, and how the regular Maths sessions helped her move from borderline Core to feeling confident with Higher content. We’re also pleased that adding Science support when needed helped her strengthen her understanding and secure her place at Higher level, especially given the timing of her move into Year 11. It’s fantastic that both tutors were able to meet her where she was in her learning, build her confidence with past papers, and help her develop independence in revision and exam preparation. We’re really glad the flexibility and tailored approach made a positive difference in her circumstances, particularly with such a busy and high-pressure exam year.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money. These papers were far too advanced for my SEN child. Before I purchased I explained our situation. Maths papers I am more than happy with, the English however were definately not for an average grade. This is why I asked before I purchased!!!!

Functional skills maths review
I use this company to do my functional skills maths,my tutor is very patient and supportive. We do an hour lesson a week as well as setting homework which is good, my tutor is always on time and does a great job!

Quadratic Equations Study Session
I had a session with Laura in preparation for a GCSE maths equivalency test I have. Laura was very helpful in explaining quadratic equations to me. Such as breaking these down in simplified terms. In doing so, this helped me to better understand what the question was asking of me, and I felt confident in doing other ones.

Laura helped my son with algebra was really looking forward to starting sessions as he seem keen to start after his trial but then was told no availability , so disappointing as seem happy o go ahead seems pointless offering trial for sone one to show themselves then cent fulfill a personal thing tutoring and not all stufents take to to tutors straightaway so thought this was bit unfair
