I see a lot of 1 star reviews about delivery times etc, however, I feel it should be warned about printing quality inconsistencies.
We have ordered the same product numerous times from this company and have had minor issues, such as folds being completely uneven and missing components on select brochure booklets in the stack. Customer service was great to provide a credit for the errored booklets.
This time however, I clicked "re-order" on a booklet order we placed months ago. When the order arrived, the colour saturation was completely different. Our brand blue was more of a blue that sat in a window for month and was sun faded. On top of that, our images were pixelated. Neither of these issues were present in the order that I "re-ordered" from.
When I reached out to Customer Service letting them know our 300 brochure booklets were flawed, their response was "Taking a look at both orders, they were printed at different facilities. Naturally there will be some variances between them due to different presses, batches of paper and inks being used." They said in the future, I should request the same facility and press be used.
I explained that when I clicked the "re-order" option on my account, I assumed it was implied that I would like the same quality as the order I re-ordered.
I have yet to hear back from my reply, but wanted to get the warning out there for any other business' that use Mixam, there are known inconsistencies in their printing depending on time of day, and they believe this is an acceptable excuse to why our brochure booklets were printed in a different colour blue than what was ordered. Beware if you are true to your brand book, that this may not be the best company to use for your marketing needs.

Fast turnaround, quality work

This is my 3rd and largest order. I love the ease of putting it together on the Mixam Canada site, the quote system matching the final invoice, no surprises. Product meets my expectations and arrived before expected date. ❤️

Thumbs up for a great product and fast turnaround. The quality of photo reproduction was better than expected and I'm very happy with the 100lb satin paper. I'm glad I chose the Smyth sewn binding given the large number of pages.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I found your website challenging to navigate. The instructions and explanations of printing choices weren't as clear as other services I've used. Also, I had to download the icc profile from another internet source, as your link doesn't seem to work. I did use your chatbot though and found it helpful.

I'm glad I persisted and am so happy to have a Canadian self publishing service available. Thank you.

Made a magazine for a friend with Mixam. The quality of the product was great!
Delivery was quick as well!
I’d say that the interface to make the product could be more beginner friendly with more guided instructions. Other than that, quality is top notch.

When I needed help they were there. It was amazing. I made mistakes in my order and they caught it before it went to print. So I corrected the mistake and everything was fine and perfect.

Wonderful quality. The book looks professionally published. Very good pricing.

Incredible service !! I was sent back my work several times to correct certain issues with the print margins, always with helpful advices and the page number related to the issue ! The printing started fast and the package arrived 10 days before the announced shipping date ! The product's quality is incredible, very much worth every penny spent !!

process was straight forward and guidelines and setting up print files was very helpful. a final warning "have you done a final editorial check" would have been useful, in my case.

Delivery was delayed - although address was a postal code, the home address was also in address for courier to deliver to.

Only issue I saw was that the elastic bands put small dents in the books. I wouldn't use them in the future.

Excellent quality printing for my 3-book series on collecting Beatles sheet music and song books. Books look superb and Mixam delivered ahead of schedule so my customers will be happy too! Thanks. Andrew

The spine part needed a bit more explanation. I wanted to just type the title but I did not see that option.

Very happy with the product received and all the info online to help guide us through the process. Timelines were accurate and we received the book exactly when the estimated time suggested we would, which was great given the tight timeframe I was on. I had some issues getting the artwork to upload to the site, even after reading all the directions and following them exactly. I ended up leaving it for a few hours, coming back to it later and reattempting the upload a few times before it finally stuck. This is the one reason I dropped a start off the rating. I used the online chat help function, which was very helpful through this troubleshooting process, to at least assure me that I had done everything properly. . . But it would be great if it wasn’t glitchy like that. Everything else was wonderful.

I have found the quality to be very poor.
I have done numerous yearbooks through mixbook abd the photo quality comes out great.
The photos are blurry and there was no warning about it.
I fixed the photos they said were not going to print well. Had no notification about all the other photos potentially having a problem.
Not super impressed but I guess you get what you pay for.

The book looked exactly like I had prepared it on my computer. The turn around time to when I had the actual book in my hands was very quick. The whole process was easy for a not very techy person to do.
