Misspent Summers is a cycling media company and store producing and selling books, photo prints and merchandise from the world of mountain biking and two-wheeled good times. The company is UK-based but has a worldwide pool of contributors, staff and followers. >>We love love love bikes and we are passionate about our products. We try our best to make everything to the highest standards using humans, small producers and responsible manufacturing while being as transparent as possible. >>After making our first downhill yearbook (Hurly Burly) in 2016, we went on to make an enduro yearbook (The World Stage) the following year, as well as several other projects including Eskapee Anthology, Downtime EP and Spent (about everything we think makes mountain biking great). Incredibel product, incredible service.
The quality of the printed product, the photos, the articles, everything is absolutely amazing. Having these books in your hands to work through them at your leisure is an incredible experience that every cycling interested person should immerse themselves in. The company themselves are amazing, providing unexpected treats with the books to make up for what they believe are short comings or late delivery dates, but are actually not problems.

My son is an avid mountain biker and is very much in the know as to what is best in all aspects of biking. He requested a copy of one of the books and we bought an extra copy as his was posted to Canada (we are in England). The book is a revelation and is obviously written by people who have only one aim in life "pure enjoyment" - highly recommended and it gave us an insight into what makes my son and his biking pals tick.

Beautiful photographs and well thought out commentary on world cup downhill racing. I regularly buy their yearbooks, and their arrival is something that's eagerly anticipated by everyone in the family. I hope they continue to produce quality work and document mountain biking history.

a window back in time
I bought an old copy of Hurly Burly a while back and keep it in the car for a quick trip down memory lane while waiting around. It’s well written, insightful and well constructed with pretty amazing photography captured within, and pretty cool to look back in time and remember what happened; surprisingly hard to do without this little window in time. Cheers team-keep up the good work.

Always looking forward to what Misspent Summers does next. Would love to see more coverage of regional riding culture and trail development in addition to the great race coverage.

Hurly Burly goosebumps
I have been purchasing Hurly Burly regularly at the end of the season for the past few years. I treasure those books. I revisit them often and they are always able to provide some emotions, from smiles to goosebumps. Highly recommended. I purchases some other gear from them too, t-shirts, mugs, and it was always of great quality and sent safely overseas. Cheers!
