Amazing value

This Merlin Pass isn't worth purchasing. I bought an annual Platinum Pass because of the add-ons it offered. But can you believe it takes 30 days — yes, 30 days — for the pass to be delivered?

I've already finished doing the rides, but I still haven't received the voucher I was planning to use. It's completely worthless to me now.

one of the perks is the free drinks and drinks cup that cost a fortune. Rather than emailing you a voucher or letting you pick up a voucher, you are meant to wait 30 days for them to post you a coupon, thus getting more money from you as for the first month you have to buy your own cup. Given the £300 price tag, its just poor customer service not to send an email.

I booked the Shark cabin on the deal you got free annual essential passes. I booked RAP pass for both days as I have Access card with +1 symbol. Easy to use RAP on rides either given wait time or immediate access via RAP entrance. Had brilliant time and would definitely stay again. Since then I have used passes for London Eye again given immediately access (with Access card). We also visited Warwick Castle and Cadburys world. Only issue i have had is using annual photopass i bought as addition in Thorpe Park. Several of the rides did not have attendants at photo booths, we managed to get most pictures added in photoshop. On the Eye there was an issue with the photo system but they did give us printed copy of our photo. At Cadburys World they said photo pass couldn't be used there and cost an additional £30 for photo package there.
Hoping to go to Blackpool later in the year and will definitely use the annual passes there. Also have further visit to Thorpe Park and Chessington booked for end october!

Queues are very long at all theme parks. At the last theme park there was a 30 minute wait for the fast pass queue. Multiple breakdowns at all the theme parks that we have been to. There is expensive parking at each site, in addition to the extortionate prices when inside the sites.

Absolutely not worth it. Merlin staff are the most unhelpful customer service people on the world. They change what you have access to throughout the year, always reducing it plus £25 parking per park. All privileges normal ticket buying people get like return policy are withdrawn so if you’ve spent hundreds to get somewhere and they close, they offer things to ticket holders and not pass holders. They already have your money and don’t care. It’s cost us thousands to get round half of them this year. Just get the tickets as you want to go. Definitely not worth an annual pass. Reputation of bad customer service will always be proved right. Money grabbers

Loved most Merlin attractions. If you have young children definitely consider buying the Gold Pass, it pays off after 6-7 trips. Its your summer and all term breaks sorted for a year!

Awful trying to book and find details of passes without having to scroll through old emails

Terrible customer service. Took over 1 month for our platinum passes to arrive, which includes the free friends and family passes (the reason we purchased the more expensive platinum passes). Over a month of not being able to use the extra perks we paid extra for. I contacted customer services 2 weeks ago and still no response. We're out of pocket because we had to pay for family to visit with us when we should have been able to use the free passes.

If you’re on the fence about getting a Merlin Annual Pass, let me save you the worry: just do it. I signed up a few months back, and it’s completely transformed my free time – here’s exactly how it’s been for me:

- Pure thrill heaven: I’ve been on Nemesis Reborn three times now, ridden Hyperia at Thorpe Park from dawn till dusk, and even braved The Swarm in the front row – and I can go back whenever I want! No rushing to cram everything into one expensive day trip.
- Perfect for every mood: When I want adrenaline, I hit the big rides. When I want something more relaxed, I’ve popped into Sea Life centres, Madame Tussauds, or wandered the beautiful grounds at Warwick Castle. It works for solo trips, dates, or full days out with mates and family.

Purchased a "Stay for a Night and Play for a Year" family package deal on 12 March 2026. At the time, our youngest was under 2, but he turned 2 the very next month—a reality of a 12-month annual pass. Because of a rigid automated system loop, they refuse to issue his pass or offer any common-sense solution for our upcoming family trips to SEA LIFE Birmingham and Cadbury World, despite us spending over an hour being bounced between unhelpful support agents. They are hiding behind technicalities and washing their hands of young families. Disgraceful customer care. Reference: 5053537.

The carpark charge is expensive. The food is expensive on site, take a packed lunch to save the cost. Take a 1l bottle of water so you dont have to stand and wait. There is no significant perks other than the entry cost spread over multiple visits. The pass doesnt cover the RAP so you have to take a gamble on if there is availability or not. If you have additional needs and struggle the pass isnt worth the hassle that comes with the RAP. Children with additional needs cant go without RAP. If you cant get a booking you cant make use of the pass. Its mega expensive to buy fast track, the pass is only great for thrill seekers who are prepared to wait hours for a ride, or live in close proximity to the attraction. I wont be buying a merlin pass again it works out that paying for entry on a one off visit is much cheaper.

We have used our passes several times now, including Legoland, Warwick Castle and several London attractions. It is easy to book and has saved us a lot of money.

We arrived early about 9:45, by the time we got into the park it was 10 am, straight onto spinball, 10 min wait, then we made our way to x-sector, 35 min wait for the smiler, it’s definitely feeling its age now, let’s just say it’s not as smooth as it used to be, carts are looking a bit dull and are starting to rust in places, but still a great roller coaster, next up was oblivion, best drop coaster in the uk, after all these years , but the area could do with another permanent ride, we made our way to thirteen and Rita, we didn’t manage to get on Rita I don’t mind a 60 min wait but when it’s 90 that’s not for me, we moved onto the wicker man, 30 min wait then the Congo river rapids and moved onto nemesis reborn, Galactica and then some intoxicator, all in all a great day out, not to busy and used our 20% discount for some drinks , can’t wait to go back

Received the basic pass as part of an offer on booking an overnight stay at Alton Towers. Definitely worth it as we are using it plenty to take our six year old to various of Merlin attractions over the year, saving a significant amount of money in the process.

I love my merlin pass. Great perks and allows me to visit my favourite attractions all year. The pre booking process could be slightly easier/more convenient with an app though in my opinion.

Since having our merlin passes days out are just easy and cheaper. We got our annual Merlin pass as part of our stay at the Chessington resort and have since visited a further 2 times and plan to visit Legoland and Warwick castle. Just so easy and great family days out. Thank you for helping us to create such fantastic memories.
