They are a SCAM. All of their five star reviews are fake. Do NOT WORK WITH THEM. They scammed me of money for editing which was terrible then continued to ask for more money and have scammed so many people and are pretending to be matador! Don’t use or you will lose money like I did
These guys are very good at scamming unsuspecting potential writers. They are SO nice that you believe their BS. I suspected long ago that they were scamming me but played along, but NOTHING happened.
STAY AWAY AS THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. And when they're finished with you, and don't think they can get any more out of you, they BLOCK your email so you can no longer contact them. They're clearly well practiced at this!

Took my money to do a proof reading etc and then disappeared,
I accepted a publishing contract with Matador Publishers on 2/17/2025 as they represented themselves as Matador Publishing, an affiliate of Troubador Publishing in the UK. After a month they tried to double my fee and when I refused, they tried to gain access to my account on Bowker Identifiers to steal ownership of my work. Troubador Publishing in the UK has issued warnings online that they are impersonating them. Other authors have said they've been scammed, had their work and money stolen and received threats of violence. Please beware and stay clear of them until they are stopped and prosecuted.
This company is a scam! They trick authors, make false claims and threaths. All authors should stay away!

Scam website - claims to have worked on titles that are well-known and the authors are working with other publishers, not this one. A handful of NYT Bestsellers on their website- you can confirm this info yourself, it's public information. Also, their reviews don't match up at all. This is clearly not a legitimate website.
