It produces huge deliciously tender and tasty crops of exceptional quality beans and has been awarded the RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit for good performance on the vegetable plot. With delightful violet flowers too, this is a vegetable plant beautiful enough for any flower border. Tall yet compact in habit Cobra is suitable for growing in beds with a little support or in raised beds, available from Marshalls, for gardeners that prefer not to crouch down to ground level to pick vegetables. Harvest by the handfuls fresh green beans. Great in the kitchen steamed or lightly boiled to accompany Sunday dinners. In the garden French bean Cobra is an effective wind-break plant. If you have smaller and more fragile young plants plant Cobra nearby to filter winds coming in from wind tunnels or exposed areas..
