British-bred butternut variety with early fruit set Sweet, nutty flavour, perfect for roasting, baking, and mashing High-quality fruits up to 3kg, ideal for kitchen or exhibition Squash ‘Sweetmax’ is a standout butternut variety, specially bred in the UK for quality, reliability, and flavour. Its attractively shaped fruits set early, giving them more sun to ripen fully, and ensuring dependable results even in shorter seasons. Each plant produces up to three sizeable squashes weighing around 3kg, with a small seed cavity to minimise waste. The deep orange flesh has a sweet, nutty flavour that holds its colour beautifully when roasted, baked, or mashed, making it as versatile in the kitchen as it is rewarding in the garden. Equally suitable for exhibition growers and home cooks, ‘Sweetmax’ combines great looks, excellent flavour, and reliable cropping for a truly impressive harvest.
