What a fabulous little company
What a fabulous little company, I bought a Laura Ashley cushion, the service was excellent, I actually typed in my address incorrect so I called the number on their website and a lovely lady called Chloe helped me change the details, it was lovely to actually have a number to ring as all to often there is no number to call. So service was excellent, I will definitely buy from here again.

Brilliant customer service
I emailed Maison White yesterday regarding an order. A lady named Chloe responded promptly and went above and beyond to ensure my order was despatched and with me before the weekend. Amazing customer service and I'll be ordering from them again very soon.

Poor customer service from Chloe
Company has refused multiple requests for a detailed VAT invoice. Despite it being a HMRC requirement.
Chloe in customer service is more interested in arguing via email over a span of 5+ hours, Than generating an email or word document to provide the requested information for a customer which would have taken 10 minutes.
She made multiple mistakes and blunders in our email chain, In which she confirmed (by qouting HMRC guidelines) that my request is valid, then chose to contradict herself and refuse my requests over and over again.

Thank you for your emails and review and for referencing the HMRC Guide.
To clarify, while Section 16.3.1 requires a supplier to provide a VAT invoice, Section 16.6.1 of the same Notice 700 confirms that for supplies under £250, a Simplified VAT Invoice is a legally valid document for this purpose.
The document already provided to you contains:
Our name, address, and VAT registration number.
The tax point (date of supply).
A description of the goods.
The total payable including VAT and the VAT rate charged.
Under HMRC rules, these details are sufficient for a VAT-registered business to reclaim input tax on a supply under £250. As such, we have fulfilled our legal obligation to provide a valid VAT invoice.
We understand you may prefer a full invoice for your internal filing, but as our systems are automated to produce simplified invoices for transactions of this value, we are unable to manually generate a bespoke document.

Fast response
I was considering teddies of slightly different hues as a gift for twin babies and emailed their contact address to ask questions about deliveries and received extremely prompt responses.
I wanted to have a look and buy from their physical shop which they confirmed was possible, offering to enforce the web price. So I sent the links to both items I was after.
Up to that point it was a first class service level. However, when I arrived at the store the morning after the drop-off of the items because they couldn't hold them for me, I discovered that one of them had already been sold out online and only one was delivered by the warehouse despite the confirmation they were both on the way the day before.
It was still useful to see the product in person but I left empty handed and bought from elsewhere in the end.

Because our website and physical store draw from the same inventory, items can occasionally sell out online in the brief window between an enquiry and a shop visit.
We understand it’s frustrating to make the journey only to find one of the items has been snapped up, and we regret any disappointment caused to you and the twins. I received first class service. My item was delivered in 24 hours and the one I needed to return was picked up at the same time. Brilliant communication and result.
