Don't trust this company with free service
This company is a Lier,
first they will tell you that you will get 3,000 email for free then after you sign up they will tell you no its actually just 100 email (not per month).
then when you try to send an email to someone they will tell you that you can only send to verified domains, you go to add domains they say you need to upgrade to add more than 2 domains, but wait we have this feature that is called Sender identities with this feature you can "Send emails without having to verify the domain—they'll be signed by one of your existing verified domains." but unfortunately you need to upgrade to use this feature.
so basically they are bunch of liars.
*its ok to charge money for your services just don't lie about the free services that you provide.

I've been a loyal customer of MailerSend for over a year, and I was initially impressed with their service. However, I've recently experienced a significant change in their policies that has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued.
It seems that MailerSend has decided to prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. They have implemented new policies that have forced me to upgrade my plan, even though my current needs were being met. This abrupt change was incredibly inconvenient and disruptive to my small business operations.
As a small business owner, I rely on reliable email services to communicate with clients and manage my operations. The sudden increase in cost, coupled with the lack of flexibility, makes it difficult to justify staying with MailerSend.
I hope that MailerSend will reconsider their recent policy changes and prioritize the needs of their long-term customers.

Just a data collection firm, not a true SMTP provider
To use this SMTP provider, you must first go through an approval process. This involves submitting screenshots of activities from your previous SMTP provider or three billing invoices, along with a detailed paragraph about your business and how you plan to use their service. I complied with all these requests, spending over an hour of my time.
The result? I was not approved. The reason given was some vague issue with their terms of service.
My advice: Avoid signing up. They gather extensive information about your previous SMTP provider, only to reject your application. This feels more like a data collection operation than a legitimate SMTP service.
Account forbidden with no explanation
Based on my research MailerSend looked liked a great platform for our clients SMTP services. Unfortunately, when I attempted to subscribe to a paid subscription they instantly suspended our account due to content not being in accordance with their Terms of Service.
We had never sent a single email with MailerSend and after contacting support they were unwilling to share why our account was suspended. Unsure how our content caused our account to become suspended when we had set up no domains or sent any emails.
Avoid, they will not approve accounts
I thought this was a good service for developers since they claim that you can send 3k emails a month under their free tier. If that went well I would have upgraded my package. The setup was easy and I configured everything correctly since I could use the SMTP service to email my own domain. But to email any other domain you need to get your account approved. This has been a nightmare. They send vague emails saying "We cannot connect to your domain and there needs to be content on it." My site is up and running and tested on various networks and devices. I know the site is up. When I messaged their support and told them that, they switched up the denial and said my account is not in compliance with their TOS. But never tell me specifically what to do to get in compliance. I am ready to just switch over to SendPulse. Their support is vague and it doesnt seem like they want any new customers.
My plan was changed without notice
My old plan was changed to hobby plan in Aug 2024 without notice. Down from 12,000 to 3,000 emails. I won't pay for over usage.
Edit: They have confirmed it's announced. But still this kind of plan change is horrible
Horrible service
So we've been using MailerSend and MailerLite for a few years. MailerLite has been issues all the time. But MailerSend was fine up to a few weeks ago. They just suspended our account for having 20 bounced emails on a total sending emails of over 6k. The 20 bounced emails were just because those were 20 emails on a web server that was down for a few hours. They suspended our account without giving any notice. After a few weeks, we found out that none of our emails that included invoices to be paid went out which resulted in thousands and thousands of euros in loss. They just DON'T CARE. To reactivate they provided us with a list of technical changes we have to implement before they wanna reactivate our service again, recaptcha (which we already have impleted), email validation APIs, and honeypot fields, ... We just switched to Amazon SES, way cheaper, way more reliable, so do yourself a favor and stay and stay far away from these people.
Dont ever trust your transactional emails to them
We had been using Mailersend for over a year and then all of a sudden they decided to "put our account on hold" because one day our spam rate hit 0.4%. We made a small mistake in our marketing emails outreach that caused a very tiny small in our spam rate, which is normally well below the 0.1% average. The problem was that with Mailersend pausing our account, they also stopped sending all our transactional emails, not just marketing emails (they don't separate those like other services do). This caused a lot of issues within our organization and had to be solved immediately. So I asked Mark A. at their customer support to re-enable our account and we'd only send our 0% spam transactional emails for now at least. But Mark A. behaved incredible rude and did not want to solve the issue unless we would implement a list of technical fixes first (double opt-ins, reCAPTCHA's, hidden “honeypot” fields ...). Long story short: Do not trust this service with your transactional emails because one day they will just stop sending them if you make a tiny mistake in your marketing email outreach.

Fantastic support from Cesar and Glenn. Troubleshooting required a lot of interaction with them. But they were able to pinpoint exactly where the issue was and the problem was solved. Great to have such level of support and expertise from our provider.

MailerSend and PHPMailer TLS 1.2
I use PHPMailer to connect to MailerSend's SMTP. Today it did not work because I was using TLS v1.0 which is obsolete and no longer supported. I got a very helpful response from MailerSend service team within less than an hour, and after some brief googling changed one constant in class.smtp.php (part of PHPMailer package), and now everything works normally.
too much bad service.
1. customer services too much poor they dont respond, or respond after 2-3 days.
2. their email delivery is too much bad
3. their dashboard dont work, mostely options are just for show case.
i paid around 180 USD for 250,0000 emails they never treated me well on support, and 15 days wasted, never buy this service otherwise you will be in trouble, now chasing them for refund as what they promised they did not deliver.
Horrible support and unjustified…
Horrible support and unjustified account suspension although we never sent a single email trough their platform.
We tried contacting support trough email two times and they never replied, also they blocked our access to live chat and the only contact option was their regular contact form on site.
We tried contacting them again through the contact form and they replied that our account is suspended since it doesn't comply with the ToS ALTHOUGH upon registration I contacted live chat to ask if our use case is okay and they said we are 100% complying with their ToS but then suspend our account regardless.
Worst service and customer support I have ever seen.
Horrible Customer Service without Justification
Upon attempting to contact their support team, not a single member would respond to assistance. Instead, they responded every time with an email stating, "after careful review, it has been determined that your account does not comply with our terms and community standards. Due to this, your account will not be approved." There is no due reason that our platform does not comply with their Terms of Use and Policies and their denial to refuse service.
Here's the timeline. Over the course of multiple attempts of trying to contact support, all the following occurred:
- We have not sent a single email through their platform, yet the account was suspended
- All domain and subdomain DNS records were verified (ie SPF, DKIM, bounce, return, updates) but the account never was
- We did not receive a single email or contact method to a support staff member to verify our domain name
- We provided them various forms of social media as they requested, resulting in no change of domain approval status
- We provided 3 months of invoices from our existing email service, resulting in no change of domain approval status
We did all they requested and they could not even respond to their decision. As a warning to future users, this company appears to bias their customers and decide to service them or not.

Same as others. Set up an account and configured wait list page to store email addresses and send thank you emails.
Got hit by a bot over the Xmas period and account suspended due to high bounce rate.
Added extra checks in to make sure email address has valid DNS, RFC compliant and Google ReCaptcha.
Have tried multiple times to contact them but have no replies.
Will look for a better alternative.
