No Support for production issue

We have a production issue which we raised yesterday and we still have no response. This is affecting our customers and we have no way of getting hold of them. Issue Logged Request #4071012
Updated 15/04/2026 : The response they mention in there response is an automatic generated response to say that someone will look into it. They only responded due to this review.

Very good service. It offer traditional SMTP and API-based interface.

API are simple enough to be used from custom scripting where a local SMTP mailer is not available,

Rolling DKIM-keys and a basic DMARC management are very useful plus

Great support

Although I am currently signed up on the free plan, using Mailgun with WordPress plugins for a very low volume personal project (a 50th anniversary RSVP site), Mailgun support was stellar when I was getting started. They gave me what I needed to make my site work. Based on this experience I would recommend Mailgun to anyone.

The support team was overall responsive…

The support team was overall responsive and helpful in resolving an account ownership transfer. Most agents were knowledgeable and moved things forward efficiently. The only frustration was one agent who kept sending us in circles with generic responses, ignoring information that was clearly visible in the ticket history and that her own colleagues had already addressed. It felt like the replies weren't being read carefully. That said, the rest of the team more than made up for it and the issue was fully resolved. Overall a positive experience.

Tony was great

Tony was great. I used the chat support, and he identified and resolved my issue almost immediately, which allowed us to continue operating. I've always had very prompt responses from the various support options with Mailgun, and I appreciate the care.

Best in timely support... so far

I reached out regarding multiple failed attempts to complete one of the onboarding steps (phone number verification). The support team replied was very timely, even though it was on a weekend. I was already looking into another email provider (that was cheaper than Mailgun) at that time, but the other email provider took like 3 days before they reply. The timely response from Mailgun won me over.

The support team intervention was really helpful and they were able to resolve the issue. I'm very satisfied

Misleading Pricing

Misleading Pricing, Useless Support, and Real Business Damage

I've been a Mailgun customer with 15 accounts and recently had an experience that pushed me to start migrating everything out.

Our transactional emails — 2FA login codes and time-sensitive legal DMV documents — started landing in spam or getting deferred for Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, and Outlook recipients. The culprit was a shared IP (143.55.232.45) flagged by Yahoo with error TSS04 due to other senders on the pool. We had nothing to do with the reputation problem, but our customers paid the price — unable to log in, unable to receive legal documents with regulatory deadlines.

When I escalated, support spent days going in circles telling me to "wait for it to clear up." A 2FA code that arrives 8 hours late is completely useless.

To make matters worse, their pricing page shows a green checkmark for "Dedicated IP access" on the Foundation 50k plan. I chose that plan specifically for that feature. Turns out it means nothing — a dedicated IP costs an additional $59/month on top. That is genuinely deceptive advertising, not a gray area.

We moved to Postmark. Problem solved instantly. Night and day difference — completely transparent pricing, no hidden add-ons, and their deliverability just works out of the box. No runaround, no finger-pointing at recipient servers, no waiting days for a resolution that never came.

If you depend on email for critical business operations, do not rely on Mailgun's shared infrastructure or their support team to protect you when something goes wrong. There are better, more honest providers out there — and we found one.

Tony resolved our issue in no time.

Tony resolved our issue in no time.
Invites to new users were not getting delivered. Turned out it was our corporate email filter (not in user's spam folders).
Within a minute Tony had pulled up the log for the invite and sent me the error log and instructions on what we needed to do to resolve it.
