Very clever and easy to use. Makes you feel organised having everything in one place! Only thing is, I’d recommend an app for teachers and not just via the internet!

We’ve been using MagicBooking since 2021, when we switched booking platforms, and it has made a real difference to how we run our afterschool and holiday club.

The system has a wide range of features, and while it did take a little time to get fully familiar with everything, it has proven to be extremely powerful and reliable in day-to-day use.

Having worked in afterschool care for over 20 years and used many different booking systems, I can confidently say MagicBooking stands out. The team are very knowledgeable, particularly when it comes to Ofsted requirements, and this has been a real benefit for us in ensuring compliance and good practice.

They are also extremely supportive whenever we need assistance and very open to suggestions from users. Many of the updates and new features they introduce clearly come from listening to feedback, which is really appreciated.

I’ve been using MagicBooking for a decade to book my kids into clubs at their schools. I’ve watched it change a lot! It’s become extremely smooth to use over the last couple years. They’re very good at listening to schools and parents needs and implementing any changes. Everything is automated, like any important reminders or instant payments or whatever plan you need to set up or however you need to pay is all now supported. It’s really easy to check my balance as well or connect to HMRC which saves such a headache with TFC payments. So big thanks to MagicBooking for hearing us out and reflecting our requests! I feel like it will be even better with my littlest.

As a parent I have never encountered a more frustrating, complicated and awful club boking system.

I have been using different systems for 12 years to book my children into clubs. This system seems at first glance to be a great idea. In practice it is a terrible experience for parental users. It crashes when the clubs are released every. single. time. and it will not be back up properly for hours if not days. Last time I was mid booking and clubs started vanishing from the homescreen that were there a minute before and the whole system crashed out after a while.

I have to book up to ten clubs for several children per term and this makes it hugely complicated to view the bookings in the way it does. Bookings are not shown by club, but by date and so you cannot easily see at a glance what has been booked. Also during crashes you can think you have booked clubs but not all sessions have been booked meaning that clubs get overbooked because different parents accidentally book individual sessions rather than the full term (even though the 'all sessions' button has been pressed).

Payments don't seem to go through properly and I have been left with outstanding balances which I then cannot pay as when I try the system tells me it's processing the payment I initially tried to make but when I log in days later the amount is still outstanding.

I know schools find it easier to be able to manage things at their end but if parents are having masses of stress added to their lives or refusing to book using the system ( as some parents have done at our school) then it seems pretty pointless. Systems like this should work for everyone involved and make life easier not increase stress and anxiety.

The customer service has been excellent, lots of support when needed, It has made the admin side simpler and more efficient. The parents set up their own accounts, with all relevant information meeting Ofsted requirments.
Its a great platform wish I had found them years ago.

I have used MagicBooking for many years now and they have never let me down. It is easy to use and has so many different features. It means we can have everything in one place rather than using multiple apps. We take our registers on MagicBooking for our holiday and after school clubs. I have recently been requested to undertake some administration tasks for our ESC. I was given a log on to Magicbooking. I was apprehensive at first as I had never used the platform before. I am however really impressed with the ease of use. I have completed bookings, made amendments and taken payments with confidence after only a very brief training session.
