We recently embarked on the British Pullman to take part in the Murder Mystery Experience. We were welcomed with a drink in the Pullman Lounge before being shown to our cabin.

The staff, who were excellent throughout, gave us a brief history of our carriage and provided us with everything we needed for the journey. The food was delightful, beautifully presented and kept us satisfied for the full duration of the journey.

The highlight was the murder mystery itself. You are fully immersed in the journey to Arcadia from minute one. The actors and actresses on board are absolutely fantastic. Interacting with each of them was a pleasure, and they provided plenty of humour throughout the journey.

I have returned from this trip recommending it to friends and family. It is worth every penny.

We had the best day! From arriving at the platform to a fab jazz singer, to incredible service and comfort on the train (and the food - so delicious!). We were well looked after, and it was incredible to be able to see Highclare Castle in small groups. Our guide told us usually they have 1300 visitors a day! Highly recommend, and hope to do another trip next time we are in London.

But the food was extremely poor.
I had fish on a bed or mash potato and half a carrot!. The rice pudding, only a couple of mouth falls and yu same with the soup.. so extremely disappointed. And costing almost £1.000

I had booked the Pullman Train from London Victoria to Chatsworth House and it was the absolute highlight of my stay in London. The organization was impeccable and everything, from the food to the decorations was just perfect. The stewards were extremely polite and friendly and made sure to honor every birthday, anniversary and other celebration that brought us together that day. A special praise goes to Freddie, Keith, Sinead and Cassie who were so polite and took so much time getting to know the passengers and making sure everyone was feeling well. As a first-time solo traveller, I felt like this was the perfect starting point, as the team allowed everyone to just lean back and enjoy the day. During our stay, we were told about the history of our train car and encouraged to explore the others as well. Our time in Chatsworth House was long enough to explore the house and the gardens before we went back to the train. The day was quite long, from 8:40 to 21:40, but everyone I spoke to agreed that it was over far too soon. The promise of returning to the golden time of travel was more than fulfilled and I hope to return sooner rather than later!

What a fantastic day out! It surpassed all our expectations and Sarah, our host, couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and it was great to see everybody dressed up and enjoying themselves. I couldn’t recommend a trip aboard the Belmond enough!

What an amazing day celebrating my Mum's 80th birthday. From start to finish the service, food and attention to detail was spot on. We were extremely well looked after by Danny and Mike. Our first time on the Belmont Pullman, very much hoping it wont be the last.

Such a fabulous experience from the initial greeting on our arrival, the glass of bubbly and the entertainer who set the scene by singing songs from the 30s. Our servers were fabulous and looked the part in their uniforms true to the period of luxury travel. The train was a delight to travel in and each carriage was decorated to the highest soec and so beautifully reminiscent of the Art Deco period. The food was elegantly presented and delicious. All in all we enjoyed every moment and the experience of travelling on the Pullman is a memory that we will treasure for a very long time.

These train journeys are one of my absolute favourite things to do! So relaxing. I love the attentive service, and it is so nice to sit down for a few hours and just spend time chatting with someone you love, with no distractions. The food is great, and free flowing booze is a super indulgent treat. The opulent surroundings are the icing on the cake.

Absolutely brilliant, service and food first class in beautiful train carriage. Excursion to winery memorable and the whole experience was memorable and well worth the cost of the days trip.

Firstly I must commend Lucy for her friendly and comfortable approach to dealing with us as newbie's to this type of experience
Lucy was actually interested in what we wanted and she delivered perfectly and we have just booked our second trip over the Christmas period

This trip was a Christmas present for my husband. What a huge success it was. From the minute we arrived at Victoria at 7.30 am to the minute we arrived back at 21.10 (bang on the advertised time) the whole day worked like clockwork with numerous well informed people there to answer questions and give directions as required. Burghley House itself was an absolute delight but the real pleasure was riding on the magnificent Pullman train. Our carriage, Ione, was so pretty and beautifully restored. The staff on board - particularly Will, Dillon and Arturo - could not have been more personable and helpful. As for the food - utterly delicious and plentiful. Add to that the extensive drinks menu and the, almost, constant flow of champagne and this really make for the perfect day out. My husband can’t stop telling everyone about it!!
The trip is expensive but there really was nothing to fault it.

Never one to give 5 star rating but anything less would be an injustice to the event . Every detail from the warm welcome to the arrival back in London was perfect.
