My family and I have been to numerous light trails over the years, and Luminate is definitely one of the best, if not the best !
It is a magical journey for all ages, with snacks including toasted marshmallows and mulled wine. My 3 year old grandson was mesmerised by the fairies.
A wonderful experience where we have all said we will return to.

This was the third year to visit illuminate and it didn’t disappoint! The lights and attention to detail was amazing and the children loved it. Even the drop of rain we had didn’t spoil the evening! Such a well

We really enjoyed Luminate at Sandringham the last couple of years we’ve been. We like the fact that the route around changes every year and there’s new things to look at and interact with. My children absolutely loved the musical buttons this year. It takes a good amount of time to get round so you feel as though it’s worth the money too.

This was our first time visiting the Luminate experience and it was magical. We went as a family to Coombe Abbey and all three generations loved it. The grandchildren particularly loved the fairy forest, the interactive lights and toasting marshmallows! It was well organised, with places to sit and get hot drinks and snacks,and the lights were wonderful, as was the music. Would definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous light displays, kids loved the interactive features! Nice walk, good hot chocolate!

We visited Christmas eve and it really made Christmas eve special.
We were lucky it was such a clear and dry evening so the lights looked great and had the benefit of being able to make the most of the fairground too.
The grandson enjoyed toasting his marshmallows whilst we enjoyed the welcome mulled wine.
We really couldn't fault it, friendly.helpful staff, just loved it,made a great family memory, thoroughly recommend it.

Great night magical , it was our second visit , two years ago , but this time surpassed our expectations, as Xmas was approaching it put us in the seasonal mood, well done highly recommended

First time visiting Ashton Court Luminate in Bristol. On the whole a very enjoyable experience! We went on a dog friendly night (7 people + doggo) and it was fine.
The staggered start time meant it was easy to park and enter. Lights and music were well matched and we had plenty of time bimble around as we needed.
Only two grumbles: prices at the food and drink concessions was horrendous! Will bring my own next time!
We have some mobility issues and the floor level lighting wasn’t great as the path was unmade and uneven underfoot- made worse by the damp -
but it won’t stop us coming back next year! Deffo worth it!

We had a great evening lots to keep the children entertained the staff were really friendly and helpful. The trail was beautiful and easy to follow. Will definitely look at going again.

The imagination and techniques used to create Luminate are second to none. We had a magical evening, walking through a wonderland of lights and music. The food and beverages were warming, and although there were plenty of others enjoying the experience, it didn’t feel crowded. We hope this will become an annual event for us!

We have never visited this display before so we came on the dog night and we were very impressed.
Definitely visit again.

Absolutely amazing display ! So beautiful… We left feeling full of Christmas spirit “ and Such good value for a festive family outing . So pleased that luminate accomodates carers free and that staff were really helpful when we were forced to rearrange our visit !
Can’t fault it !

This was our first time at the Margam Park Luminate, but we did go to the Carmarthen one a couple of years ago. Overall we always really enjoy going and it was great to be able to bring our dog along too. We were quite disappointed that we weren't able to get a hot chocolate until almost the end of the walk and we defiantly missed some of the more interactive elements that we experienced at the Carmarthen Luminate. We would go again if it was a bit more like the Carmarthen event with the Hot Chocolate and more lights.

We went midweek at the beginning of Dec 2025 so it wasn't horrendously busy which meant for a relaxed walk around for us.
The lights were awesome and it was lovely seeing all the different groups of lights whilst following the trail. It was dry (always helps) and not muddy, and there were many staff along the route to provide any assistance required. The cabins selling hot drinks/snacks/gluwein on the route were a nice touch even if the queues were a tad long. We did have the marshmallows to toast and what a lovely treat they were. More eateries & fairground rides are at the end of the route to extend the fun a little more.
We were sent directions for the car park/where to park for the type of tickets we bought which was great and helped a lot.

Had an amazing time at coombe abbey light trail 2025 booked the slot expecting it to be super busy and it wasn't, we had time to take photos walk slowly and enjoy the night, we have an autistic daughter who hates big crowds and loads of noise but she had so much fun! Will defo go again.

As a family we have been coming to Luminate in Margam Park every year since 2021. It’s become a bit of a Christmas tradition. This year despite the rain was so magical. They really out did themselves with the light displays. We cannot wait to go back again for Christmas 2026.

We visited Luminate at Ashton Gate, Bristol. A group of 4 adults with a toddler and a 5 year old.
It was very well organised with helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
The lights trail was very good for adults, the fairy section and talking tree were great but the trail could do with more to attract and involve children.
The light display on the Main House was a bit underwhelming.
The paths were difficult in some places, uneven with large stones.
Marshmallow toasting and hot drink stations were great. The staff around the park were excellent.
Our granddaughter enjoyed the merry go round and more of this type of feature would be good.
All in all it was an enjoyable Christmas event.

We visited again just before Christmas. We all had a great time. This is the best light display we have been to. We always highly recommend this place to people and always like coming here as a family. We always enjoy coming here

Visited a Luminate display at Sandringham with family. I have to say the lights were spectacular and we particularly enjoyed the deer field. The attention to detail was excellent. It wasn’t too busy when we were there and that made moving around very easy. Our little granddaughter was enthralled and loved the fairground rides. I did think the food and drinks were expensive and were okay rather than great. I would definitely recommend a visit to others.
