Fantastic company, George guided us through our first ever caravan purchase. The entire experience has been amazing, their knowledge, professionalism, customer service is exceptional

We have just picked up our new caravan from Lowdhams Huddersfield. The customer service was excellent. Emma was so helpful and went through everything in fine detail. She was so knowledgeable and made sure we were happy and we understood everything. Very friendly and would be an asset to any Company in the future as unfortunately Lowdhams is closing down

So sad that the Huddersfield operation is to close. We were lucky enough to speak to Emma there, when looking for a new caravan. Emma is a delight to deal with, making the decision to purchase so enjoyable and easy. Thanks to Emma the whole transaction was smooth and efficient. I would also like to mention both Jossy and Aaron in the parts department, who were always so welcoming and always smiling and courteous. Emma, Jossy and Aaron would be an asset to any business, and i hope they all find good jobs. I wish them well for the future.

Excellent purchase experience throughout. Particularly Jake and his customer service, nothing too much trouble. Would recommend Lowdham.

recently bought a new caravan and Emma was really helpful and the sale was a doddle.

Motorhome purchase. Had a long wait to collect after ordering and had to chase up to find out what was happening, Lowdhams didn't seem proactive in keeping us updated with the build.

On the day of collection the handover and demonstration was good but there were a couple of issues which had been missed on the PDI. When we got the motorhome back home the electrics failed and the alarm was troublesome as the habitation door needs adjusting so we had to take it back the following day for the electrics to be fixed.

These are things which should have been picked up before handover, we have raised these with the Sales Director but we have received no call back and we would have also expected a courtesy call from Lowdhams after such a large purchase to check if everything else was OK but have had no contact from them.

Overall an 'ok' experience let down by poor communication and lack of customer care.

***July update*** 10 weeks into our purchase and we have had to downgrade our review, we have had numerous breakdowns and faults. Lowdhams have not responded to emails or phone calls, and only agreed to rectify the issues once the finance company became involved. Had to waste 2 weekends taking it back to Nottingham, Lowdhams guaranteed it was fixed...one week later the vehicle was dead again! 3 further phone calls ignored by Lowdhams and now back on the hands of the finance company and trading standards. Worst customer experience ever!

Excellent service from Mark in sales and Phil in the customer handover department . We also purchased a new awning again brilliant service from the awning and accessory shop.
Just a little disappointed that the awning light doesn’t work .

We first went to the Huddersfield branch in 2021 and ordered our new van Jake showed us round and as helped us all the way to the end when we finally picked up our motorhome in April we were kept up to date with everything we can’t thank him enough we love our new motorhome.

We visited Lowdhams in Huddersfield to try to find some specific items that we needed to replace on our caravan. We weren’t optimistic that we would be able to get what we needed. However we need not have worried. We met Muhammad Akram who served us brilliantly! The items we needed were very specific to our van and Muhammad managed to find them all on Lowdhams system. What is more they were all in stock! We came away with everything we needed. Thank you Muhammad for taking the time and trouble to try to understand what we needed and to track them down. Great service!

On Monday we collected our new caravan from Lowdhams’s Huddersfield. Throughout the process Emma has been fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. I have rung to ask for advice on which is a suitable car for towing and Emma helped. The handover and after sales service has been excellent. Emma is very knowledgeable and you trust her advice. Thank you Emma for all your help, you are a credit to Lowdhams’s.

My brand new caravan was provided with several faults in July 2021. The faults were notified within two weeks of purchase and pictures were provided.
•The door under the sink was not aligned and therefore did not lock correctly. This resulted in items falling out when in transit and scratching the woodwork.
•The blind surrounds were not secure in various locations and were swinging outwards as the screws were not catching.
•There was a small crack in the plastic tray located in the fridge.
•Stitching was coming loose on the cushions (living area - on two separate sides of the van – underneath – therefore not evident until we slept in the van and made up the bed).
•The breaks were screeching incredible loudly.

Despite it now being 7 months later most of the faults remain unaddressed. This is despite Lowdhams having my van back in December for over a month (they returned the van with most of the fauts still present and caused damage which they failed to notify me of - luckily I had not driven off before noticing and had before pictures of my own). Of most significance is that the cushions in the van are falling apart. I sent off pictures of this 2 weeks after purchase - They have refused to repair or replace the cushions and have put this down to wear and tear. I would avoid this company as their aftersales leaves a lot to be desired and there is no urgency to resolve faults.

We chose Lowdhams for the Freestyle model and from first visit to pick up of caravan , nothing was too much trouble.
There was no pressure during the initial sales and staff took time to explain the different models , layouts etc. As newbies to caravaning, they took time to explain the new world we were entering into.
Once a delivery date had been arranged , the service continued to be first rate . No question went unanswered, Emma was a star and answered calls and texts on her day off to help smooth the purchase and get me ready for the road.
I can not recommend Lowdhams and Emma highly enough . I experienced a number of dealerships in this process and Lowdhams stand head and shoulder above . Massive thankyou to all involved .

As I ordered the van in August I understand that with coronavirus and everything else was going on with parts delays I did not get the van till the middle of January 2022 however the staff were helpful but I ordered a bike rack to take three bikes on collection I didn’t notice that this bike rack only carry two bikes it’s costing me more and more money to go up and down to Huddersfield the van already has been booked into Peugeot because I am brake warning light is not working surely this should’ve been noticed when the when the van went to Peugeot for his PDI which they told me it had been for again I’m not want to complain but this is all my time I’ve got to drop it now at Rochdale get a taxi home then go and pick it back up where this problem should’ve been seen thank you anyway the van is lovely

Great service, although staff numbers were down to a minimum resulting in missed calls and occasional confusion, service was not seriously effected. One big niggle was while towing my new caravan home , I realised by the movement of the tow that the water boiler had not been drained before leaving the dealership.
