Simply doesn't work at all! :D I spent 2 hours trying to export a very simple svg graphic animation in figma following the lottiefiles tutorials and I reached a point in which I couldn't make my animation possibly any more suitable to export properly with the lottiefiles plugin and it still inexplicably did not export the animation properly. There was still some visual glitch that I cannot for the life of me explain!

0/10 product, don't waste your time trying it like I did. Just suffer through After Effects for exporting gifs; it sucks but at least it works! :D

To download one icon, I have to buy a one-year subscription for $180. Moreover, I have to calculate even that myself, because the final amount is not indicated anywhere until I pay... Horrible approach.

Two points for creating a monopoly and free demo opportunities.

What a terrible service! Lottiefiles used to be one of the most useful website online and now it became a trash. Limiting free profile with 10 animation was fine until you realize that you cannot download even free animations even though you have not reached 10 free limit. They simply force you to opt for the paid version which small creators cannot afford monthly. First they made the service free and later they started charging for everything, what a greedy company. Now I cant design and upload animations because I am out of free limit.

Our marketing team started using LottieFiles in early 2023, and while our business needs have since evolved, we recently found ourselves without access to the account created by a former employee. When we reached out to LottieFiles for assistance, their support team was incredibly responsive and helpful. They quickly resolved the issue by refunding us and closing the account, making the process smooth and hassle-free. It’s refreshing to see a company that values customer service and operates with integrity. Highly recommend LottieFiles for both their product and their exceptional support!

Scam down to the core.
The actual usability of what could be a good app suffers horrendously because they try to get you to fill up the 10 „uploads“ (one directional, deleting projects does not help). Making an edit on a current project? You have to create a new project. Fix a bug from a project? New project. And so on.
Essentially you can not finish anything before reaching the paywall. And that is where the real fun begins…
They advertise only monthly cost - even at check out. But once you get the bill you will notice that you actually subscribed to a YEARLY subscription!! And there is no monthly option at all!
There are many competitors. Don’t even start with this shit.

Had great support from their customer experience team

Hides standard pricing plans based on how they profile you (open site in incognito, you’ll see cheaper pricing.) Seems based on if your email uses a custom domain. Advertises monthly pricing but switches to annual pricing at checkout. No monthly is actually offered anywhere on the site. Plus refunds are only for EU residents! Fell for the con and live outside EU? Sucks. After reaching out for a refund regardless, I was only offered a downgrade to the (previously hidden) basic plan.

Once you actually get into the app it’s slow and buggy, page freezes after a short scroll (M2 Pro Mac Mini) and Chrome has to force close the tab. I could rattle off several more bugs and crashes but my point is clear. Hesitate to do business with lottiefiles.com.

Well, just like many other reviews here, I also got scammed by the false advertising of monthly billing -- twice! I am currently resolving my second order for 600$ just becuse I have invited another person to the project.
So sad, because indeed the thing is actually pretty sleek, but that helps little when you have to deal with crooks.

I am very satisfied with lottiefiles, but as already mentioned, the subscriptions are not clearly defined. I also took out an annual subscription by mistake, even though I needed it for one month. However, support reacted quickly and refunded the money. Many thanks for the great product!

What is this weird pricing strategy?

Scam. I signed up for what for a single user account, which I thought was monthly billing but was charged $240 for the year. I was charged for the year. Then I shared the link with my client twice. and somehow was charged for two separate Team accounts. This was not obvious at all. I just happened to check the billing and I saw my next payment cycle was $917!!!. Meaning 240 + 917 just to turn a few animations into code. This is robbery. I contacted customer support. They did not even correspond with me. They canceled my account and charged me for the Team accounts, I'm guessing at a Prorated for 330. So Over $500 just to use it for a few animations within a month. I was robbed left with no explanation. Their customer support claimed they did not see any charges, which is false as I even attached screenshots. This is a scam.

The booked two years in a row 250$ from my bank account, although I have cancelled the subscription 3 years ago. Would not recommend it at all.

Really helpful and timely customer service. The rep listens to my concerns and reconsidered a decision I disagreed with.

Amazing customer service. They are so sweet and helpful.
Lottie tool itself is a great tool but requires a bit of time to handle and use correctly.

They basically put a middle finger to all free users with the free limit change.
Support is basically non existant.
Plugins and everything are bugged and filled with issues by default.
20$ a month for something with this quality, support and reliability is really risky... But at the same time lotties are more famous than ever, so will be interesting to see where this scam company goes

Fastest and best way I know to get light weighted animations exported fast for development stages
As an animator it is also very nice for post editing, with timing and recolor tools and all is easy to deliver straight to code
I work with after effects and use the Lottie plugin most of the times , very easy and intuitive.
Their support team responds really fast and are so helpful, great product I love it so much !
