GREAT COMPANY
The engineer was very helpful and gave us some useful information, so that the situation doesn't occur again. He was very friendly and professional and put us at ease because we saw a big problem, that he solved very quickly. The whole experience was pleasantly surprising. Many thanks to Ben for clearing our blocked toilet. Not a pleasant job but he was cheerful throughout. He clearly explained the procedure and options as he went along, which included limescale removal. Would use London Drains Direct again.

Thank you so much Ben for coming over and clearing out the grease trapped in the kitchen sink. We had 2 cowboys plumbers come over in the past 8 weeks and failed to the blockage. Tenants was unable to use washing machine and sink for weeks. They are grateful for his help and expertise. Thank you again and we will definitely call you guys in the future!

Booked a toilet blockage limescale…
Booked a toilet blockage limescale removal one day in advance — not an emergency call-out. On the day, the engineer arrived on time, but the job was completed in under 5 minutes using a drill with a metal chain.
The final bill was £234 (£195 + VAT), which is far higher than the quotation I expected based on typical London rates for a weekday job of this kind (£90–£140 + VAT). No parts or materials were used.
The guy literally turn up, putting a metal chain drill in the toilet pipe all in few minutes.
While the work was done quickly, the price was nowhere near reasonable for the time and complexity involved. Would not recommend based on value for money with so much hidden cost.
There was no clear justification for the high call out fee and the price bore little relation to the complexity of the work.

Excellent service provided by Ben. He arrived on time, was warm and friendly with a professional demeanour. He clearly explained to me what method he could use - cleaning of drains by jet washing them. I had hundreds of drain flies in my home! He provided me with a quote and I was not pressurised to proceed. I consented for him to go ahead and I'm so pleased that I did. After diligently working for a good few hours, he showed me the clean drains through a high tech camera. I'm delighted to say that the flies have now gone thanks to Ben. The price quoted was very competitive compared to other quotes I received which was an added bonus! I would definitely use Ben again and highly recommend him! Thank you so much.

Really bad service
Really, really bad: didn’t resolve blockage. Charged £336 not £70 as advertised. Wanted additional £400 for any extra work. Threatened debt recovery process when invoice was questioned.

Thank you for leaving your feedback. My apologies that you feel this has not been handled in a satisfactory manner, but we had tried getting in contact on numerous occasions with no success.
In response to your summary sent via email and to provide clarification on your complaint:-
- There were 3 separate blockages on site, you were advised of the per blockage charge and advised of two blockages at the time of the booking, this was then updated with a third blockage on the roof deck of the property
- Bank details and a payment link were provided when the invoice and photo's were emailed to you on the 19th May.
- Your email on the 26th May asked for clarification on the charges, checking that it was £336 to be paid (which was £280 plus VAT for 2 blockages) and not £420 (plus VAT for 3 blockages), and you advised that the kitchen sink was again blocked.
- I responded to your email on the 28th May, confirming the balance owed (which in your email on the 26th May you stated 'I'm happy to settle'), also clarifying the works that were completed on site and advising the engineers findings, and advised that we were more than happy to return to the property to resolve the issue with the sink but noted that there were further works that had been recommended by our engineers, due to the build up of fat and scale found.
- This matter was only escalated due to the lack of communication on your part, as following my email on the 28th May we received no response. There was also no response to my email on the 3rd June, and we have only now received a response to my email on the 19th June, where it was advised that we would have to pass this matter to debt collection if payment was not received, as the invoice was at that stage over 30 days overdue despite being told at the time of booking that payment was due upon completion of the works.
