I bought my power chair almost three years ago. I really love it! We are away on holiday this week and on Friday afternoon my chair developed a fault. I emailed Toby at Lithtech to ask for some advice expecting to hear on Monday but he actually rang me at 4.50 before he left for the weekend. We discussed options and agreed a plan.
During the weekend he emailed me with further options. This really impressed me as I felt I wasn’t just someone who could wait until normal office hours.
He was incredibly helpful and my husband and I arranged to take my power chair to him so he could sort the issue out.
We arrived just before he opened and he immediately made me feel confident I would be back on the road quickly. Those who use a power chair will appreciate how trapped I felt in the time without it so this was indeed good news.
He and his staff worked quickly to address the issue and even gave the chair a quick service.
I want to place on record my total appreciation of the lengths Toby went to in order to assist me and I really feel his customer service is second to none. When making such a large purchase in the first place he was knowledgeable about his product and the difficulties people like me with mobility limitations have.
Lithtech is not local to me (4 hrs away) but I would not hesitate to go back when I need a new chair as I already know I will be getting an excellent product and be dealt with extremely well by people who actually care.

Watching the YouTube videos prepared us prior to visiting Lith-tech Mobility at their local outlet. We were shown three smart chairs preselected for us and the most likely to fit our own requirement. We soon made our choice, the expert advice and instruction was outstanding and we are very pleased with our purchase and we would fully recommend the product and the service for all your mobility chair needs.

Once again I can praise Lith -Tech Mobility for their helpful and prompt service. I feel it is important to receive good aftercare when purchasing such a specialised and costly item as a power chair.

Toby, Will, & Paul, were a fantastic help with all of their advice and professional knowledge of the Lith-Tech range of chairs, and which one would be most suitable for myself, being a first time buyer/user.
Although I decided on an excellent second-hand SC-x XL, from a friend, which I am pleased with, so far, I was not 'pressured' to purchase a suitable chair from Lith-Tech directly, which gave me a good feeling about how this genuine firm operates. Toby is a veritable 'font of knowledge' with all of his many videos on YouTube, which give potential purchasers, and users virtually all they need to know about the many powered, fold up wheelchairs that Lith-Tech offer, as well as what to avoid when looking for a suitable chair of any kind. Also a big 'thank you' for the various accessories that I ordered from the company online, they arrived less than 24 hours after ordering!! Top marks to all at Lith-Tech, buy with confidence.

It took me a lot time and very careful consideration before I felt ready to purchase my first power chair. After getting somewhat overwhelmed as I discovered more and more brands online, I finally chanced upon Lith-Tech, and I am so glad that I did. Here’s just a few reasons why I would highly recommend buying a power chair from this company.

1. Toby’s videos. They really do take you through everything. I felt like I knew how to operate a power chair, and more importantly, how to safely navigate the hazards I would likely face while out and about in one before I’d even sat in one of the chairs.
2. The ordering process. I live too far away from a Lith-Tech showroom to realistically visit one, but that wasn’t a problem. The telephone consultation was excellent. I spoke to Will, who was supportive, patient and very knowledgeable about their products. We went through all of my requirements before he suggested which chair he thought would be right for me, including any beneficial modifications for my particular needs.
3. Ordering and delivery. Absolutely first class. Everything was straightforward. The chair was delivered on the date I requested and the communication throughout was excellent.
4. The chair itself. I’ve only managed 2 short trips on it so far. Mostly around our garden and up and down the rather bumpy pavements near our house (this is where the aforementioned videos proved invaluable). The chair is incredibly comfortable, easy to operate, and feels very, very sturdy. Even on my first time in it I felt far more confident than I had expected, and I’m sure that is down to the quality of the chair. I just feel safe in it.

I can’t wait to venture further afield in it, and really put it through its paces, and hopefully regain something of what I have lost over recent years. My partner said that after a few times around the garden, I looked up smiling and said, ‘It’s brilliant’…and it is.

New deeper seat for the wheelchair. Very comfortable, good quality and gives great support. We are also delighted with the electric wheelchair. Very portable and manoeuvrable - used around the house and easily goes in the car boot and our camper van.

I've recently lost my mobility due to spine and pelvic injury and this is the third powerchair I've purchased, what can I say, third time is a charm.

There are many similar looking models around, and the first chair I bought was one for £1099, a reclining freedom elite chair from E**ch Mobility. It had on paper very similar specs as this chair. The motor was nice and powerful and juicy, but unfortunately the frame just couldn't really handle it. It was very heavy and the frame quite soft. The handling was nice but it arrived damaged and missing parts and was clearly a return which hadn't been safety checked. So that was sent back.

I then tried a almost identical looking model which had an auto recline function, also costing £1099 from Gl**er Mobility. The chair on paper had the same specs as this chair. The brakes were a disgrace, there was a big delay which meant the chair would slide and loose traction. The handling was very poor, and the speed inconsistent. I couldn't safely use it alone, defeating the purpose of the purchase. The motor was worthless, it couldn't even handle ordinary pavement slopes and the battery was even worse. I took it out the length of my garden and lost an entire bar. The speed never reached its advertised speed and it meant on inclines there was nowhere to go for acceleration, which was dangerous. Their customer service was appalling and I genuinely worry for any disabled/elderly people who bought the chair. So I returned it.

I then looked into Lith Tech, and was immediately impressed by the indepth, real world tested videos to help improve user ability. The design of the chair is engineered to a far superior standard and doesn't require little outriggers at the back. On paper it had all the same specs as the two previous chairs.

Upon purchase I received a call from LithTech to ask me a few questions about my mobility situation, needs and understanding of the product. I was glad for the call and even the chance to customise the chair, it showed responsibility and also care for their clients.

The package arrived promptly and with thoughtful instructions for the driver, which I thought was a nice touch.

Immediately, it was obvious the chair was head and shoulders above the other two. It was much lighter and more sympathetically designed. Even the curvature of the footrest when it's stored upright to avoid bumping your shins. I can very easy drop my shoulder and switch from electric mode to manual mode independently. The frame is of an excellent robust standard. The seat is extremely ergonomic and beautifully designed. It is so intuitively made. The handling and responses are superb and the instant locking makes me feel very safe and able to travel with independence across many terrains with ease.

The battery life is akin to the old Nokia bricks, I just can't understand it. Ive been in hospital for a few days, it's transported me in and out several times, I've even raced my daughter down the carpark and tested it on hills and grass. I went for a stroll yesterday up and around the neighbourhood and in and out of my garden many times. I am STILL on full battery.

Beyond all these important comfort and safety boons, is the fact she is a punchy little monster! The motor is a beast, and it is great to be able to achieve a great speed at times. It is hard not to feel vulnerable as a wheelchair user, so being able to floor it and outpace even a teenager is definitely good for my peace of mind!

I can traverse so many places I have wanted to and been unable to explore for many months. It's given me my life back and my independence, I truly feel safe in this chair and that it's reliable.

I would say to any one perusing powerchairs to just avoid cheaper alternatives, they really aren't worth your health or your money! Lithtech make their chairs with the user in mind and seem to be all round good eggs.

Was initially wary of spending so much on a product I could see or have a demo of but all is well. Those I talked to at Lith-Tech were straight forward and explained anything I asked about very well. The videos on You Tube were a great help and very informative and useful. As an engineer/designer, I can appreciate the quality of the product and now know why Toby is so pleased with what he has produced. I am now a proud owner of an excellent product and my wif and dog are now accompanied on their daily walks. I still have my mobility scooter for various reasons but my favourite is now the Smart Chair 1 XL - good name - it really does excel !

From ordering to delivery was seamless! The answers to my questions, advice and recommendations were faultless!
I rang Lith Tec to query about their foldable power wheelchairs. The Lith Tech SC-1 power wheelchair was recommended for me, with slight alteration to the front wheels (I only use outdoors). This was the best advice EVER!
I ordered over the telephone and received my chair the next day! (Previously I'd bought a foldable mobility scooter from a different company. It didn't suit me at all, making me feel vulnerable and unsteady. Unfortunately, this knocked my confidence a lot).
My Lith Tech SC-1 has given me even more confidence and independence than I had before I bought the previous mobility scooter. Now I even go out unaccompanied, which was unheard of before!
I can't recommend this power wheelchair enough. It's given me a new lease of life!
