Following the Bank of England’s recent base rate reduction, we reviewed our savings products and adjusted the interest rates available to new customers — including fixed rate bonds. This was done in line with our terms, which allow for changes in response to movements in the Bank Rate and wider market conditions.
We do our best to be clear when rates change, but appreciate the timing didn’t work in your favour on this occasion.

What a waste of time it has been
Don’t bother applying for this banks current account. They ask questions like they are underwriting a mortage for a current account. Such a waste of time for a basic product with nothing special. You are more likely to get your mortage fully approved before they can open a bank account. Perhaps they should stick to their native market Avoid at all costs

Your competitors do the same checks in a matter of minutes and their staff actually read the answers provided they don’t ask the same questions if it has been previously answered. How very rude of your team. Why go on national media when you are not ready to meet local market standards ?

Poor experience with the app
Poor experience with the app. Tried to open an account and after receiving an email I then tried to open up the account on the app. I followed instructions but received error message and to contact customer suppprt. After 3 attempts by them I still couldn’t access the account. Gave up and open one elsewhere!

Limited on amount you can withdraw per day, don't seem to use faster payments so it sits there lost (earning them interest and not you while you wait for your money).
Clearly set up to earn momey on your money in an un transparent way. Banking regulations should be tighter to prevent this sort of practice. Probably buried in their pages and pages of T&C's

Steer well clear of this BANK
Steer well clear of! Application process slow and repeatedly ask for id which you give but always say not good enough even though statements (original) from main uk bank. No customer service and ignored callback requests and when you complain decline your application!!! Trust at your peril.

Don't go here for your start-up
I tried to open a business bank account for my startup in Estonia and applied for e-residency. All went good and after receiving my e-residency proceeded to LHV. Had a nice and simple intake talk without needing to hand over the documents I prepared, business plan, CV, an agreement with an Estonian company etc. Then after a week I received an e-mail that my application was "too vague".
I replied with the facts that no-one in the bank needed or wanted to receive the documents I prepared and then send them again via e-mail.
One week later still no reply, then I called them and received a negative result the next day with a standard e-mail.
LHV is not willing to work with start-ups, even when you're open to supply any information they would want or need.
