Same as others - used a buy a gift voucher and didn’t receive anything, and they won’t respond to emails.

Wish I’d read these reviews first but I assumed buy a gift would vet companies.

Used a gift voucher from buyagift, wish I had looked at reviews first.

Firstly they charged me for delivery, which felt wrong.
When the order arrived, a day late, I was very disappointed with the contents. Certainly not value for money, would estimate considerably less than half the cost of the voucher.
Now one of the cheeses has started to ferment, even though well in date.
As other reviews, stay well clear of this company.

Terrible company!!!!! Have written several complaints and sent numerous emails, which have not been responded to. Paid £39.99 and postage on top for 3 lumps of cheese, small chutney and a small box of crackers, delivered in a dented, broken old cardboard box. AVOID!!!!!

£100 buy a gift token … three lumps of cheese !! Three months subscription got one box 19/12…then nothing !! Shame on you !! . Mobile number is a rude woman who hung up ! Landline goes to and machine ! Absolute scammers ! Tempted to ‘pop’ over to Leicester and introduce myself ! Thieving GHETS!! DO NOT TOUCH these ROGUES!!

Waiting a month for my first order despite it supposed to only being a few days. Now have emailed for a refund and am being ignored.

Avoid this absolute scam of a company!

Never received my order. Scam.
Contacted the email on the website, received one email back saying they were late to post and will ship that day, never followed up with tracking information and of course I never received the box nor a second reply from that email.
Wish I read reviews on here before placing order via buy a gift as their reviews are outdated and misleading.

As per 90% of the other reviews, I didn’t receive my order and twice I got excuses and empty promises. I’m highly disappointed and disheartened as it was a gift. Don’t trust or order from this company!

Ordered for Christmas delivery on the 10th of December, not even had a dispatch email, no replies from any messages/emails I’ve sent since the 20th, at present I believe the whole company is a scam going by other reviews

Order cost Nearly £40 with the delivery, opened box to find approx £12 worth of stuff including 3 small pieces of cheese in the box. order with the reference VKPTMGXDI

Cheeses on website are AI generated you will be sent a mixture of cheese from the (Cheshire cheese company and j.j Sandham) you won't be sent the flavours you've ordered instead you will get "substitutes" , not even the crackers were the same as described, no good as a gift as they don't come in a nice box like most other companies do , won't order from them again

Absolutely terrible company. They’ll take your money but won’t deliver the products. The people that run this company couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery. Almost certainly about to close down due to being the most useless brand since time began. Save yourself the aggro and shop elsewhere.

Placed an order on 12/11/24 and still not arrived at 24/11/24, their hours on the website are wrong from what they tell you when you call. Never anyone to answer your call, no email reply either.
I called the mobile number on 24/11/24 at 10.20am only to be told by a guy I'm in my bed can you call back on Monday.
If I could give a zero I would and that's me being generous, UTTER RUBBISH company to deal with, AVOID at all costs. I am now in touch with my Bank seeking to use Chargeback to hopefully get my money back.

Just seen the reviews and im not suprised. Paid £5 for next day delivery on Monday and we are now thursday with no order. DO NOT USE. CHECK REVIEWS PRIOR TO ORDERING.

Absolutely awful! Ordered a large number of expensive cheese... they sent us the completely wrong stuff, in a pallet, not even refrigerated.

It took them almost a month to do... no communication... no apology. Trying to make us look like idiots by suggesting that the cheese they sent was the one we ordered... Not true!

Purchased (gifted) a £35 voucher via Buy a gift to use with Letterboxcheese.co.uk. Firstly they charge an additional £5 for delivery (which they delivered a day late and left it with a random neighbour). £35 is a complete rip off for what you get (3 x 200g wax cheeses, a tiny 114g jar of chilli jam and a box of sourdough crispbread). The refrigeration bags they use for delivery don't serve any purpose and are pointless! I usually go to food fairs in York and The Great Yorkshire Show and would get at least double the quantities for what we paid!! I just wish i'd read the reviews on here before i purchased. Avoid!!

The cheese is pretty nice, but you get 3x200g blocks for the buy a gift voucher redemption deal which didn't feel like the money's worth. The quality is good but the amount just isn't.

They use DHL for delivery - an extra £5 delivery for a voucher which is supposed to cover the full cost - and state that their packaging keeps the cheese fresh and at a suitable temperature for 48 hours from despatch. My order came after 4 days. The cheese was warm.

I'll give full credit here - customer service was quick, responsive and friendly. A new replacement box was sent on next day delivery - and it really did arrive next day. However, the ice packs inside the box had melted and the cheese was room temperature once again.

The cardboard box could be stronger, the courier service more reliable, the packaging more insulated, the ice packs longer lasting, and the quantity of the cheese increased.

4 stars as the customer service was faultless, and although annoying the DHL service failures really aren't their fault.

I did an order through buy a gift but didn't check the reviews. After I did the order, I checked the reviews on trust pilot and they were bad. So I actually rang the gift recipient and apologised that the gift we had ordered, was probably going to be awful, which obviously ruined the surprise.
Well there was 5 large portions of cheese, bigger than expected, a box of biscuits and a cheese board. All had over a month for the best before date. The only disappointment was, when I did the order, the wooden board was shaped in a heart (fantastic as it was an anniversary gift), but it turned up square. Also if I hadn't said to my parents about the board, it probably would be In the bin as it was so well packaged they didn't realise it was there. I asked my parents to rate the gift and they said 5/5. I would 100% buy again

Received a gift of cheese, but unfortunately the company failed to let us know who it was from. Both me and my husband have tried contacting the company numerous times in different ways but after a week, neither of us have had any response. Customer service is clearly non-existent.
