Overall I am pleased with the experience, however, I asked how to remove a section from the will, and the help person was not able to assist me. She referred me up the line, but no one ever called me. I manually struck out the section and had witnesses sign off on it, but the electronic copy remains unchanged

We'd like to clarify how our Will works with regard to removing content. Certain clauses can be enabled or disabled by you in Section 9 of our Wizard. You can toggle each optional clause, and your document will be regenerated cleanly with only the clauses you've selected. However, some clauses are mandatory and cannot be turned off. This is by design. Those clauses are essential to ensure the document works as a whole and remains legally sound, so the option to remove them isn't offered.
We strongly recommend against manually striking out any text in your Will. Hand-editing a document whose clauses are designed to work together can create inconsistencies, unintended effects, and drive confusion.

I think it was satisfactory
I think it was satisfactory, but I didn’t realize I had to renew it again and it expires or I wouldn’t have bought it. I thought it was a one time purchase so that was a little disappointing, but otherwise it was fairly good.

Once you've printed, signed, and witnessed your documents, they remain valid, regardless of your membership status. Your membership is what allows you to keep your documents up to date as your circumstances change.

Basic Will: Accessible and Affordable
The LegalWills program is excellent for creating a basic Will. Being fairly easy to use makes it accessible for most people to complete this vital task. The cost is low, particularly in comparison to the excessive fees of lawyers and notaries. Hopefully in the future, the program will expand to include more complex Will situations. There are a number of additional choices for those who want to include various options, such as Final Wishes, Power of Attorney, Funeral Arrangements, Document Storage, etc.
