My third Backpack!
I just got my third Portrait Backpack from Leather Satchel Company and I love it.
I bought my first 13 inch one in 2014 and used it almost every day for 12 years, which is pretty crazy. This new one replaces that original bag. I also have a bigger 15 inch version for travel. They’ve all held up great.
Keith, their Master Craftsman, sent me a personal message about customizing the bag and helped a lot with delivery and customs. I really appreciate the personal contact and the great customer service.

Bartek, twelve years of daily use and you're back for your third -- that's not crazy, that's exactly what these bags are built for.
Glad the new one is settling in well, and that the 15 inch is doing its job on the road. Leather that's been lived in that hard for that long has real character to it by now -- the new one will get there too.

After extensive research I decided to order a bespoke music bag from The Leather Satchel Co and following my initial contact with Keith I knew that I had made the right decision. I admired his passion, his knowledge and his philosphy and I wanted to be part of it.
I was very impressed when I received the bag. I own many designer pieces for special occasions but this a proper British daily workhorse, supremely functional and looks lovely. It exceeded my expectations and I don't think anyone can match it at the price point.
A quintessential addition to my collection and in the true spirit of the most famous of Dickensian characters, I will be back for more...

New everyday bag - medium Pixie in British Tan
I needed a new everyday handbag, and decided to buy a medium Pixie in British Tan from the Leather Satchel Company after an excellent experience ordering a music case for my daughter before Christmas. I was fed up with buying bags that look tatty after a year and start to fall apart after two - and was looking for something with more longevity. As before, the quality, service and value for money could not be faulted.
I particularly appreciate that the catch works smoothly, so the bag can be opened and closed securely with one hand and without needing to look. I took it out in the rain and the finished side seems to be pretty water resistant, or even waterproof (although I am not sure it is advertised as such).
One thing to note is that the interior dimensions need to be taken seriously- hopefully it is obvious from the product description, but this is a structured bag and there is no option of overfilling it. I chose the 20mm volume boost and I can fit a (very) large bunch of keys, a large wallet and a phone in a robust case in it comfortably . Add a packet of tissues and it starts to get snug.
I will definitely buy from the Leather Satchel Company again, although I will spend some time living with this bag first, to see whether I should complement it with a different size or style (they have some great colours). I am expecting this one to last long enough for it still to be in good condition and looking great by the time I am ready for another one, so I can run the two alongside each other!

You've put it better than we ever could: fed up with bags that look tatty after a year and fall apart after two. That's exactly the problem we set out to solve, and it's good to know the Pixie is already feeling like the right answer.
The catch detail is one of those things that only reveals itself in daily use -- glad it's working the way it should.

What an excellent experience ordered a Keyring which arrived quickly and exceedingly well packaged which boded well for its contents . Upon opening and unwrapping my Keyring from it’s tissue paper I was presented with a beautiful Keyring very well made and initialed on one side as requested and the other side embossed with the company logo and the year 1966 the colour distressed Mersey waters is a fantastic shade of blue and the Keyring is a credit to the craftsmen that made it in the company,and would not hesitate to recommend the company and its products

Music bag
I was given a music bag for Christmas, and I had great pleasure in deciding over the samples. The colour choice is impressive, but what is more impressive is Keith’s eagerness to give one the perfect bag. When I mentioned some additions, he wrote detailed suggestions with clear photographic options. It could not have been clearer, with the result that I knew exactly what I was going to get. Even so, when the box arrived it was exciting to unwrap. The packaging is beautiful. I am so happy with my music bag. I just have to ensure that my playing does it justice. I love the heaviness of the metal bar. It is wonderful that the factory is here. The quality shows. Thank you, Keith.

Bellflower Festival Satchel

Incredible Service
I recently purchased a satchel as a Christmas present for my wife. I left it very late in the day to order, 13th December but still went ahead with fingers crossed I might receive it by Christmas.
I was contacted by The Leather Satchel Co on the day of ordering who explained that these bags are handmade however was given some assurance that I would receive the finished item in time.
The Leather Satchel Co kept me updated as to where they were in the process making a helpful suggestion about adding a handle and updates when the bag was dispatched.
I’m pleased say that I received the bag on 20th December and to say I'm happy with it is an under statement you can see and feel the quality of the finished article and I’m sure my wife will have many years happy use.

I have just received my bag and I immediately fell in love with it. The bag itself is a timeless design and is extremely well made. What makes me wish I could give 6* instead of 5, is the fact these bags are handmade in Britain. It’s so rare these days to buy an item and feel the love, care and attention that went into making it and I really do hope they continue to make their products in this way - it just doesn’t compare to fast fashion. Also the updates and communication throughout was 10/10. I had a last minute design change request and needed my bag on a tight deadline and it was sorted out with no issues. I will definitely be a returning customer and will be recommending you to all my friends & family!

The staff are so friendly and helpful Keith one of the staff members showed me around the warehouse and should me what the satchels looked like and then we ordered one with him and then waited about a week and a half and picked it up. The staff put so much Detail in their satchels and had some many compliments about the satchel and people asking where it is from ordered another one before Christmas and can pick up soon love so much

Beautiful bag, fantastic service
I’ve just counted NINE bags from this fantastic company, in my house. All are different and all of them are beautiful! My most recent purchase is a small black leather satchel as a present for my mum. I ordered it a bit too late for her birthday, but I contacted the company and dealt with Keith, who was so helpful and provided the most fantastic service, and the bag arrived well within time! I can’t wait to give it to my mum on her birthday, she’s still using the one I got her 7 years ago, every day!

I ordered a replacement shoulder strap…
I ordered a replacement shoulder strap for a satchel from another company. The leather satchel company emailed me to ask for a photograph of the satchel to match the colour. The customer service was excellent particularly for a relatively small order. The strap is of excellent quality and I plan to order a bag from them in due course.
