Thanks Tony. What I appreciate most about your review is that you have been a long-standing client and you've been with us through the massive changes and upheaval in the conveyancing industry. I think your first matter was way back when paper was king, when faxes and email were regarded as safe, there were not formal verification of identity requirements and contracts and Section 32 obligations were fairly straight-forward.
So much has changed, and we have worked hard to stay not only on top of things but also a little ahead. Your review tells us that we have managed these changes without creating too much inconvenience or concern for those who know how things used to be.

good service with some possible improvements
The service was efficient, well priced and courteous.
However, I also found it not personalised and sometimes hard to get answers to my questions (always quick replies back which was great but one liners of type 'don't worry, its all sorted out' were not really answering the questions).
Multiple automatic long emails were involved sometimes with sections that did not apply to me and created confusion, which should not have been there in the first place (I had provided all my information and presumed the person I dealt with had considered that). I presume however such an automated way helps to bring the fees down.
As I was purchasing a property for the first time, I had multiple questions on the process and found it hard to understand the specifics and the legal and financial implications, often even to answer the questions that were asked of me. Also the conveyancer took some initiatives and sent communications to the seller deciding on my behalf, without consulting me and I found that sometimes not quite right.
All and all the service was good and this would be perfect for someone that has purchased properties many times and knows the process.

Thank you for your very comprehensive and objective feedback TB. You have identified some very important "pain points" for clients, these being the conflicts between automation and the delivery of client specific information, client involvement in communications with other parties, and the need for information vs assumptions regarding familiarity with industry norms and processes.
I think we sometimes forget that while we feel that we're keeping on top of things in terms of compliance with new requirements (e-conveyancing and new responsibilities regarding the collection of duties and taxes on behalf of the ATO and SRO have been a major challenge in recent times) and developing automated systems for gathering and disseminating information, the client can be left wondering about how and why things are being done the way they are and what their role is. This is particularly true when, as in your case, the client is not very experienced in real estate transactions.
You have identified "multiple automatic long emails" as a difficulty, and a few other clients have commented on this as well. I am now working on a more client-friendly way of delivering the information that we, as lawyers, are required to provide in the very early stages of a conveyancing matter. My goal is to inform, but without overwhelming a new client with superfluous detail or irrelevant information.
You also mention that "the conveyancer took some initiatives" without consulting you. I can assure you that it is not our practice to act without a client's instructions, and in normal circumstances we would always seek a client's instructions before taking action on the client's behalf. (There are occasions, when we do need to take the initiative to act quickly without immediately consulting the client if the client cannot be reached in time, e.g. where a loan condition is about to expire and we have to extend the loan condition to protect the client's deposit, but this should always be confirmed with the client as soon as possible. I do not the specifics of the communication you are referring to, but it is clear that it was of some concern and so I do apologise.
One of the benefits I find with client reviews is that help us to identify areas for improvement. I thank you for identifying issues we need to address, and also for being gentle in your critique. I do hope that you will return to us if you need similar services again in the future, and I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate that we have taken your comments on board.

We have used these guys twice and they…
We have used these guys twice and they are great. The first settlement was over the Christmas period and time was short. Lawyers Conveyancing was able to provide detailed guides which I used over the Christmas holidays to confidently challenge the contract and close the deal. But of course the time was short and Lawyers did the work and closed it all on time.
Our second buy had different issues, and Lawyers was great. Easy to talk to and proactive on advice.
If I was to buy a third time (hope not!) I would definitely go with Lawyers Conveyancing again. Love you guys!

A very good experience
I have used Lawyers Conveyancing more than once. I live overseas so dealing with the purchase/sale of a property in Australia is somewhat more demanding. I found Lawyers Conveyancing helpful at all stages of the process. They are a pleasure to deal with and I recommend them highly.

Excellent service
Very happy with them especially with Peter, Jill and Nicole. We used them previously and I dont have any hesitation at all to use them again and recommend them to my friends and family because of their excellent customer service. Unprofessional, Horrible...Don't use!
I truly from start to finish hated my experience with Lawyers Conveyancing and would never use them again or recommend them. They are weak, very basic don't care and NEVER communicate I had to constantly chase up Jill for an update, they charged me ridiculous fees for stuff I don't even know. Awful. Never ever Again!!
Bravo on the reply Peter... But that you need to read my review carefully. You haven't even addressed what my issue was with your company!! I was happy with the agreement I made personally with the Vendor. That wasn't the issue, and you've just proven my point on how unprofessional you are!! Such poor taste to put my private information out there like this, but all in all. Thanks for proving me right.
And now you edit it cause I had to correct you.. Slick. All in all you guys provide a poor service, with bad communication skills. That's it. I'm so happy I took matters into my own hands and did a deal independently, best decision ever.
AND finally don't ask me to review your company if you can't handle some honest truth!!
