I recently visited the Lasers Only shop…

I recently visited the Lasers Only shop in New Jersey and couldn't be more impressed. I brought in some of my own materials, and Andrew gave a full demonstration of the 2000w fiber laser's paint removal capabilities. It was incredible to see the machine in action firsthand, so I was 100% how I can use it. Andrew made sure I was comfortable with the process, answered all my questions, and even offered me a great deal on the spot. I ended up buying the machine that day, and I'm thrilled with the performance and the entire experience. Highly recommend Lasers Only if you're looking for quality laser equipment and exceptional service

Galvo CO2

First, I'm not new to laser engraving having an industrial 80W MOPA laser I've been using for years. I purchased the 45W galvo CO2 from lasersonly.com mid-December and while the initial communication was good, once I started asking question about the 100mm lens as far as having a profile sent to me went unanswered. Like another review, the machine itself is different than pictured. There's no motorized Z-axis nor this fancy LED-like screen on the front panel of the machine shown on the website. The shipping crate arrived damaged but luckily, the machine itself was fine.

The issue began with both 100 & 300mm lens that was unable to engrave clearly. It wouldn't even fire at 5% power which was a suspect. Once it did try to engrave on wood, the lines would come out very thick, filling any shapes were inconsistent, and the engraving's focus would not change with wide range of adjustment. These should change within mm's of adjustment but it was almost identical at almost 0-100mm difference. I contacted them initially and they offered to call some number that's not even the same State. Then I read some of the reviews here which prompted me to do my own investigation.

Once I started doing my own research and reading here, it's the same symptoms people were seeing. The faint preview line was another issue.

Without disclosing what the issue is as that's really not my job but a part that's inside is incorrect. I had to spend $250 for this part to get the laser to even focus. Not something most people with no knowledge would be able to guess.

Then the faint preview line also needed to be fixed with an external red laser dot source with a bracket for the preview which I'm working on now.

I'm 99% sure this machine is not tested before being sent out as there's almost no way this machine could engrave properly the way it was sent. It engraves but very thick with no focus.

Terrible customer service

Had an 'unwanted grid' showing up in both matte and annealed marks, independent of scan angle so I sent my 60W MOPA laser back to LasersOnly under warranty. The owner replaced several parts and said it was working perfectly and returned my laser. When I got it back it is having the exact same issue. The owner said it was settings related. I purchased another equivalent laser from Haotian and compared the exact same settings on the same piece of steel. The Haotian marks were perfect, the LasersOnly marks were terrible. The owner refuses to correct the problem. Google 'Haotian vs. LasersONly 60W MOPA' to watch on YT.

Update 10/1 response to owner:

* This is false. You are still claiming that it was a 'settings issue' even though it is clearly not (2 other people w/ same machine tested and had zero grid, and when I got a new laser it had zero grid - all running the same settings). Even the steel card you sent back at the end (with annealed marks) had grid marks in them (I have pics). You must not be detail oriented as you seem to overlook these things quite often.

* Absolutely FALSE. I have the machine sitting here for parts as I can't even sell it (other people see the problem in the marks no problem). All you have to do is watch the yt videos to see a comparison and that will tell you all you need to know. My new 60W Haotian laser DOES function flawlessly however (same settings) - which I highly recommend for anyone reading this review.

This customer purchased a 50W Fiber Laser Engraving Machine from us in April 2023 for $5000. In 2024, he reported that his machine was producing unwanted lines on engravings. At his request, we replaced the galvo scanner and control board. When this did not resolve the issue, we went beyond our warranty obligations and replaced his one-year-old 50W machine with a brand-new 60W model at no cost to him.

Later, customer informed us that he had discovered the actual cause of the unwanted lines: his unstable work table, which caused the galvo mirrors to shake whenever the table moved. In other words, the equipment was not at fault, yet the customer received a free upgrade to a more powerful and more expensive machine.

In 2025, the customer contacted us again about an engraving issue. This time, he noticed a grid pattern that appeared only when engraving at an angle using particular parameters. When the exact engraving was performed vertically or horizontally (0° or 90°), the results were clean and flawless. To ensure his satisfaction, we replaced all the major components of his machine, including the laser source, control board, galvo scanner, and power supplies — again at no cost, even though his warranty had expired.

We also ran tests using the exact parameters the customer provided and were able to produce clean, angled engravings on his machine by slightly increasing the speed. This demonstrated once again that the issue was not with the equipment itself but with the engraving settings.

Every laser machine operation is unique, and numerous factors, including lens calibration, beam alignment, and operating parameters, affect the engraving results. It is the operator’s responsibility to identify and use the correct settings for their application.

Given the extensive support and multiple no-cost replacements we have already provided, it is clear that we have gone well beyond our obligations. The customer's request to buy back his used machine is also unreasonable, especially considering the significant upgrades and component replacements we carried out entirely at our own expense. Furthermore, his machine continues to function correctly when operated with the correct parameters.

Before purchasing

Before purchasing, Andrew scheduled a FaceTime call to answer my questions very old-school personal attention. My rust cleaning machine arrived swiftly, slightly damaged in transit, but he stood by his word and sent replacement parts fast. That level of support is rare these days

A great and reliable fiber laser supplier

I ordered my fiber laser 2 weeks ago from Lasers only, and it arrived quicker than expected. The process was smooth, and i didn't have to deal with any annoying paperwork or fees. Highly recommend them for anyone in the USA looking for reliable supplier.

The best laser we own

We own 3 different types of lasers for imprinting on steel and aluminum, as well are titanium and other harder material. This company was great to deal with, Andrew was our sales rep and kept us informed on delivery dates, etc. When we started using the laser, it's faster than any of our other machines, and not nearly as expensive. I would gladly recommend them.

This has been a disaster

This has been a disaster! It’s a bait and switch! The owner or what ever he is Andrew Peterson is no help. There website and my invoice show a different machine then the one I received. The machine not only is different but did not come with items shown. The machine also had its serial number/Identification label removed. Last but surely not the end is its defective and that’s coming from one of there own people. Now I’m told I will have to pay to ship and insure this 112 lbs machine! This is crooked and I am seeking legal action against them. Stay away!!!

Poor Support when issues arise

I purchased a 60W Mopa with 2 lenses. It shipped the next week and arrived with a lens missing and a broken light. The replacements were sent a couple weeks later after a few reminders. Not a big deal on that front.

The issue is the Red Light Preview is blurry. I have to bring the laser out of focus down 15mm for the red light preview to be sharp. Because of this issue, it is extremely difficult to line up items precisely, especially when I'm lining up multiple discs at one time. Andrew's support guy wasn't helpful, and neither was Andrew. I sent several videos showing the issue, and they just said they couldn't see the issue, even after I repeatedly told them it's next to impossible to record the bright light properly with a cell phone and capture it how it appears. The one suggestion he offered after emailing back and forth for days (and having to follow up with him again after no response) was not helpful, and he offered no resolution at all.

I already have a 50w fiber laser from another seller, so I can clearly see that this is not normal. Very irritated to have not received any sort of response from Andrew other than implying I'm wrong that there's an issue. I spoke to many experienced owners of lasers, and they agreed the Red Light on my laser is defective. I'm stuck with misaligning my engravings because of this. Very unfortunate when spending thousands of dollars to buy an "upgraded" laser.

These guys are great.

They got my laser to me very quickly and have been very responsive with any questions whether after hours or not.

I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

We were looking for an American-based supplier, and that is where we found Laser Only, and I am glad we did. They have been very supportive and even offered, and we accepted a Teamviewer-based training that helped speed up our learning curve.
