Missing part not been resolved.

I ordered a Paxton Nursing Rocking Chair from Kub. While the chair itself appears to be of reasonable quality, the outer packaging arrived badly damaged. More importantly, an integral part of the chair legs was missing, meaning the chair cannot be used at all. I raised this with Kub immediately and was assured that a replacement part would be sent within five days. It has now been 25 days, and the missing part has still not been received. I've reached out to them twice since hoping to get this resolved. This is extremely frustrating, particularly as our baby is due imminently, leaving us with a chair that is currently unusable.

Perfect gift for my new grandson

The delivery was quick and well packaged with very simple instructions that my daughter was able to follow easily.
The end result is a well made chair and stool and the perfect seat for my daughter an son in law to nurse their new baby

We got a very good price and delivery…

We got a very good price and delivery was quick and easy.

The chair is very nice, very comfy and the motion is very smooth. The only problem, so far, is that the cushion covers are not machine washable and the cushion filling can't be changed ( no zips ). This is less than ideal for a nursing chair.

The other small issue with assembly was that the protective cover over the cushion on the footstool couldn't be removed without unscrewing some bolts.

We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the cushion covers and footstool assembly. While the covers are not machine washable, they can be wiped clean with a warm damp cloth and a small, minimal amount of diluted Fairy liquid to help keep the fabric fresh and clean.

Faulty and Unsafe Gliding Chair – Poor Customer Support

I bought the Chatsworth Gliding Chair for my child’s nursery, and it has turned out to be extremely dangerous. When it first arrived, the right armrest was scratched, but the company replaced that part within a day or two- so far, so good.

However, within just a few days of receiving the chair, the locking system started seizing up randomly while I was gliding with my baby, suddenly stopping mid-glide and causing a sharp jolt forward. This happened repeatedly and felt very unsafe. Now, the chair stops abruptly so much, making it completely unusable.

I even tried to send the company a video showing the fault, but their email system doesn’t allow attachments, so I’ve been unable to provide visual proof. Despite this, I’ve sent multiple emails explaining the issue, and they are choosing to ignore me.

At this point, I’m left with a faulty chair that does not glide and feels unsafe to use. I am very disappointed and would like this matter resolved as soon as possible. I believe a refund is the fairest outcome given the circumstances.

Update: They got back to me the same day i wrote this review and stated they would only process my refund if I edited or removed my Trustpilot review, which is a clear breach of consumer protection regulations. Thankfully, as I paid through Klarna, the matter was resolved. Consumers should be cautious!

As soon as you reported the seizing issue, we arranged and sent a replacement chair base unit to resolve the problem. We also attempted to assist with receiving video evidence — we normally have no issues receiving videos, however they do need to be sent in a compatible email format in order to be delivered successfully, and we did try to help guide you through this.

We would also like to clarify that we did not ignore your messages. All emails received were responded to, and we worked with you throughout to try and find a suitable resolution. Although replacement parts were provided, we understand you were still unhappy, and as a gesture of goodwill we ultimately issued a full refund for the order.

While we are sorry you feel this way, we do feel that we made every effort to support you and resolve the situation, including providing replacement parts and a full refund. We always aim to assist our customers fairly and professionally at Kub Direct.

Parcel Force communications very poor

Stated delivery was excellent but I would urge you to reconsider the use of Parcel Force. They let you down with poor communications. No card was left through the door on two failed delivery dates and my attempts at numerous phonecalls to their depot resulted in not being able to get through. Not your fault. Delighted with the product however.

Superb "customer" service

I bought a second-hand nursing chair that needed some repairs. I got in touch with Kub, and even though I was not a customer, they still offered to send me a full construction pack with all the fixing items I needed, and more. As if that was not impressive, the package arrived two days after they agreed to send it.
That's what I can outstanding customer service.

Top notch customer service from Kub's after sales support team

We have purchased a KUB mothercare chair several years ago from John Lewis. Years later, having used the chair to nurse 3 of our children, the chair is still in good working order. HAving lost a screw for the foot stool, Kub's customer service team have kindly responded within a couple of hours and are issuing me the missing parts that I need. Excellent customer service. Very pleased indeed.

No Assembly Instructions

I am trying to get assembly instructions for an older model unit so that I can put it together safely for my child.

Their email support are saying that they have never sold this model although their branding is on it and there are multiple pictures of it on their Facebook.

No response to messages on Facebook, no answer to any phone call and email support that will not help.

I would avoid if you want to be able to use their equipment safely with children as they will not support you.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this must have been when all you wanted was to assemble your unit safely for your child.

To clarify, the reason for the confusion is that the product is an older model (and was discontinued over 7 years ago) which we no longer sell, and unfortunately our support team initially didn’t recognise it. We’ve already replied to you via email and Facebook to confirm that while we don’t currently have the instructions on file, we are actively checking our archives and will share them with you if we’re able to locate a copy.

We truly value your patience, and although this is an older product, our aim is always to help where we can.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we’ll use this as an opportunity to improve how we handle requests for legacy products.

Best present for new mum

What a fantastic feeding chair, my daughter loves it.. It was delivered on time and easy to put together. The price was excellent as it was on special. Great quality chair.

When ordering the nursing chairs I told customer care that I was away until the 5th of June and was told that that would be fine and they would sort out the delivery for that date, I received updates from the carrier it was being dispatched, so again I contacted customer care no response, then carrier contacted me with a delivery date of 27/5, again I contacted customer care again no response, so I had to contact my son who had to take the day off work losing a days pay to be at my house for the delivery, so no I’m not really happy. Easy order, great chair

Easy to order, quick delivery. All v efficient.
Great glider chair, absolutely the comfiest thing to feed in, as it's arms are the right height for elbows when holding a nursing baby!

Excellent service from the company…

Excellent service from the company after ParcelForce delivered the package to the wrong address and then failed to recover it. A replacement was quickly dispatched and thankfully arrived safely. Cannot fault Emma and the customer care team for their help and support!

Had a great choice of sizes of tuff play trays for my daughter and the best prices too!
