I cant believe how good this watch looks, i was ecstatic when i lifted the lid on the box. Its simply a striking time piece! I have to give credit to Knopf. Trying to make this watch during this pandemic, they have been nothing short of professional. Constant updates, personally answred all my emails and did this all within 24hrs. Keep up the good work fellas, i will be keeping on eye out for you next design.

From start to finish, with the world the way it is, this has been an enjoyable experience due to the many updates explaining progress achieved, including photos of manufacture.
The stunning time piece may have been longer in the making but was well worth the wait.
At no time did I doubt the KNOPF team.
Hoping to be involved with them in the future with new products!

Having waited patiently for my NY-405, I could not be happier with its arrival.

The watch was beautifully presented in a custom made box with the Knopf motif and lined in a soft off white that smacked of luxury.

I couldn’t have imagined that an off chance backing on Kickstarter would eventually finish with a unique wristwatch that will be worn everyday.

A Beautiful and Elegant timepiece wrapped in a Beautiful presentation case. The face is attention grabbing and bold without being busy. On the wrist, it feels as good as it looks. A great first effort on a classy timepiece, Looking forward to what comes next!

I was so excited when my time pieces arrived I opened the package and they are beautiful. I waited for the day to come to have them in my collection.

Watch arrived in good condition. It was delivered 2 days late due to being delivered to the wrong address. UPS driver can’t read. Address label was correct. I am waiting for my instruction manual. It didn’t come with watch. I’m very happy with watch, looks, movement etc. Thanks John Cummins

The Knopf Ny-405 watch is better looking in person. That is pretty hard to do since it looks great in pictures.
The first thing I noticed when I got the package was how heavy it is. The display box looks amazing. The watch itself is impressive. Worth every penny.

I was a Kickstarter backer for my NY-405 Gold Steel watch. While it was delayed some due to supply chain issues around the world, it arrived recently (Oct/Nov 2021).

It came in a nice box on a pillow, with the certificate and a cloth included. At the time I received the watch, the bracelet was the only option. The bracelet came and I had to have 2 links removed to fit my 7.5" wrist.

The watch is hefty, which to me was a nice sign of the quality of the build. I imagine on a leather strap the weight would come down significantly.

The movement provides a nice gliding second hand movement, and the distinctive angular shapes really make it unique among other watch dials.

Overall, I am thrilled with the watch!

The entire experience with Knopf has been on point. Always kept me up-dated on the status of my watch, and always answered any questions I had. Once I received my watch it came in a beautiful box, this watch is awesome and you will NOT be disappointed. Such a beautiful and classy design and in my opinion ranking up there with more expensive watches like Rolex. You will be happy with your purchase.

I do not believe you can find such a value for the quality that the NY-45 is. It is a great machine with a 44 hour power reserve. There is no other watch in the market place for the price you are expected to pay for this well made machine. It has everything that you would expect to have in a watch at 2 or 3 times it’s price. Buy it!

As an avid watch collector I am always looking for innovative designs to add to my collection. My basic criteria centers on 1) innovative design,-but not too avant garde; 2) a solid movement (preferably automatic); 3) quality customer service; 4) price point ;and 5) a solid feel on the wrist, Using those criteria, here is my review of the KNOPF NY-405:
1) THE KNOPF NYC-405 is simply a stunning looking timepiece. The dial, based on the landmark Chrysler Building is innovative, but not outlandish. Even the most conservative watch wearer would marvel at its uniqueness. The gold and black three link bracelet gives the watch a rich look that's elegant yet sporty, but a brown of black alligator strap would take it to the classic dress watch design. The combination of numericals and Roman Numerals on the bezel is stunning and the date at 6 o'clock is perfectly placed to add to the total look and not distract the symmetry of the overall design.
2) A Swiss Made Certified automatic movement with a 44 hour reserve and 28,800BPH is a superb movement that attests to the quality of the watch.
3) KNOPF customer service is exceptional. All inquires are promptly addressed politely and professionally.
4) At the list price of $1600 this model with the gold and black bracelet is an exceptional value. You will be hard pressed to find a sophisticated design powered by a high quality Swiss Movement at this price point. There are many watches on the market with higher list prices and inferior design and quality.
5) I personally like a watch that feels comfortable but feels substantial on the wrist. The KNOPF NYC-405 hits the target spot on.
Overall, this is an outstanding timepiece that should have universal appeal. I highly recommend it for design, quality and price.

I recently received my Knopf NY-405 Gold/Stainless two tone. The packaging for the watch is beautiful as is the certificate of authentication. The box shines as much as the watch. The watch itself very distinctly captures the 2d and 3d architecture design as it was the first thing we noticed when we opened the box. The light captures the dial and shows so many different views, it is quite captivating. The finishings were definitely handled with care and precision..
The lume on the watch was very carefully designed as well to bring out new design while still showing the time. It is definitely a conversation starter. The Swiss movement keeps quite accurate time as my watch is +/- 2s, and the power reserve is as expected. I highly recommend this watch if you want something beautiful and different.

I liked the idea and concept from the beginning. I appreciated the information that was shared with me about the progress of the build. When something did not meet their stringent guidelines, action was taken to correct the problem. I continually felt that the Knoff's were destined to put on the market a stunning and high quality timepiece.

First off, this timepiece is an instant classic, and is stunningly beautiful. I fell in love with this timepiece long before I had the pleasure of having it on my wrist. That being said, from the moment I opened the box and saw the Knopf name and symbol, I was overjoyed. Certificate of Authenticity was there with it. The packaging was just as meticulous as the work to the watch itself. My favorite thing about this whole experience, however, would have to be the care and passion that the owners have put into their product. And I am proud to wear my NY-405 piece for a long time to come, as it now stands atop my collection.

I received my NY-405 watch this week. This watch totally exceeded my expectations. From the initial photos of the prototype to actually holding the watch in my hand has definately been a journey, but worth the wait. The design is striking, dynamic and beautiful. The elegance of this timepiece makes it stand out in any crowd.

The NY-405 is even better than anticipated.
The face is elegant and the movement is beautiful. The band clasp is one of the best I have ever owned, and I have over one hundred watches in my collection. I am also very impressed with the presentation box.

It's my opinion that the 405 Timepieces are outstanding watches. From the prototypes to the finished product, everyone were kept informed of the various stages during development.

The Timepieces are refreshing, unique in design, authentically SWISS fabricated and verified. Its detailed, has exceptional fit / finish and remarkable lumed. The crown could have been larger though, it is somewhat diminutive for My appendages.

The Presentation Box is visually appealing, well packaged and internally detailed. A lot of effort went into the materialization / culmination of this collection.

Gage Enterprise initial timepieces would be a welcome addition to anyone's watch collection. I've purchased all three model variations and looking forward to KNOPF's next horological project

I opened the box for my watch this morning, to find a stunningly beautiful timepiece. The face of the watch reveals a layering of embossed materials, that give it a 3D sense of design. The very considered design of the Knopf NY-405's face and body, is based on visual elements of the Chrysler Building in NY. The watch projects both a bold rawness, coupled with a refined delicacy simultaneously, which is a hard feat to accomplish. The embossed bezel uses both Arabic and Roman Numerals, framing the face, while not overwhelming the design. The sweeping second hand is a whisper, present, but not competing with the dynamic design of the face. Again, beautiful watch!

It has been a long wait, and boy was it worth it. The packaging was ultra luxurious, with a beautiful black box showcasing the Knopf logo, black against silver. Opening the box showed a black envelope containing a lovely thank you and the warranty card. A warm grey cloth was next, gently covering the watch.

I opted for the two-tone, and unfolding the cloth, it shimmered. This watch packs a powerful presence, the architectural cues showcasing the bold face. The bezel markers mix Arabic numerals with Roman across the 60 minute demarcations.Truly a lovely watch, a discussion piece if you will.

The bracelet is heavy, but not unpleasantly so, enough to lend a sense of solidity. It has an etched clasp with micro-adjust, although i haven't haven't had to play with it, as the bracelet fit my 8 inch wrist pretty well out of the box.

All in all, I am very happy to add this to my collection. It brings a unique and elegant presence, and Knopf has done a great job imbuing that from the packaging to the watch, and all the elements between (including a certificate of authenticity). They have made it feel a truly bespoke experience.

Excellent Timepiece. Well made . Highly recommend to anyone looking for a watch. The Lume on the dial will blow you away
