The best mail order drinks experience…
The best mail order drinks experience I’ve ever had. The cocktails are so good and everything about the brand and packaging made it feel really unique. Love the glass bottles and little personalised note for the birthday girl was great. Would highly highly recommend, and will be back for more!

The cocktails seem wonderful but the…
The cocktails seem wonderful but the overall experience is less than average.
Took ages to come, 6 cocktails but garnish for 1 and a bit.
The worst part, they passed the use by date before they had been dispatched.
3 emails sent and no reply from the vendors.
Then I received a £3 refund.
So £40 for 6 cocktails I can’t drink and they think a postage refund is acceptable.
Update they had replied but in the spam

Explained the situation with the use by dates and a busy and understaffed week. Fingers crossed they taste as good as they look and I’ll give them a chance for a better experience sometime soon

As you know, we sent an email out informing our customers that 2 of the 3 of us had contracted COVID-19. As you can imagine this puts a huge stress on the business and we're the first to hold out hands up and say it led to delays and mistakes! We're a very small business so losing 2/3 of our manpower is devastating.
You did communicate with Sim and believe resolved this. We hope you did infact enjoy the cocktails and that next time we can meet our usual standards!

They arrived quickly. Love the packaging. Love the garnish. And Such a lovely handwritten note. It really feels like a lot of time and care is put into this company and every order. The cocktails themselves yummy. Best we ve tasted anywhere.

Absolutely amazing cocktails
Absolutely amazing cocktails! Fresh and packed with flavour. High quality drinks and the friendly & efficient service was brilliant. How refreshing. They delivered 30 cocktails for me on time and where I needed them for a hen party, we had lots of variety and we loved the cute lollies and umbrellas, even the little pieces of fruit were great - the attention to detail is spot on.
They even come with eco friendly straws too. All you need is ice and you’re good to go.
Definitely recommend. We will be back for more.

Who needs a pub??!!
We were lucky enough to have a local company switch to handmade cocktail deliveries during the pandemic. Then they stopped and we were devastated! We stumbled across this company and gave them a try and they did not disappoint! The cocktails are simply wonderful! It would be better if the ‘long’ and ‘short’ cocktails were better defined when ordering but this is just a minor gripe. We loved the fact they really did feel and taste like freshly made cocktails but had a longer shelf life than what we were used to. We’ve tried a few companies but know that this will be the one we will keep going back to. Who needs a pub when you can get better quality delivered to your door!! Love the bottles, garnish and cocktail umbrellas too! Brilliant company! Thank you!

Great cocktails!
Mixton's cocktails are so tasty! Had these with some friends and they were all impressed.
Some great classics like Espresso martinis, but also loved the jalapeno heat from the Spicy Melons one! Haven't seen that anywhere else. It's also great value for a proper bar standard cocktail.
The glass bottles have a high quality feel, so I think they would also make a nice gift for someone.
Will definitely be ordering again.

overpriced and small
I ordered these for a fun night in with the girls, but to be honest i should've just gone out. The drinks are tiny and overpriced for what you get. £26 for 4 tiny drinks at home. No Thanks!!
There are much better small batch companies out there in my opinion.

EDIT: The account has since written 5 other reviews back to back for other cocktail companies and uploaded a profile photo from a Twitter associated with the name to make it look genuine. We've had no contact.
Typically when we receive a negative review we find it really upsetting as we genuinely do care. We're always the first to hold our hands up if we've made a mistake and always endeavour to fix things!
However, we believe this review to be maliciously written by one of our competitors (this is not a verified review from a purchase. Source: Organic, and their first and only review...).
The name Jessica Trueman did recently share some images of Mixtons, what the writer doesn't know however is that we've never had an order from a Jessica Trueman. She is in fact an influencer and was gifted these products. She even emailed saying how great the products were; you chose the wrong person to imitate!
Also to highlight the phrase 'better small batch companies' is a really obvious sign of the malicious intent. This is a very specific phrasing (and slip up from the writer) that only small batch companies use. Your average consumer would not write this.
To say that our cocktails are small or overpriced when leaving reviews for other cocktail companies who ONLY do smaller cocktail is ridiculous and another sign of malicious intent.
At 200ml, our long drinks are the biggest of any 'small batch' company and they make up 1/2 of our range. At £6 per cocktail they are also far cheaper then the majority of bars, given that they are hand made and preservative free.
Unfortunately slander is the level to which they have decided to stoop. We won't let it deter us from our mission. People wanting to stop us because of the momentum we are creating... we can only take that as a good sign :)

Tasted OK but really small size cocktails!!
Ordered for a special occasion as we love cocktails. Tried other cocktail delivery cocktails during lockdown so thought we would give this company a go (Knocktails now called Mixtons). The cocktails arrived in pouches! The cocktails tasted OK but be aware the sizing is really small! Their espresso martini is a mere 85ml; it did not even fill a small martini glass (other cocktail companies are 125ml). The taste of them is nothing special; they are nice and drinkable but with the sizing being so small ..I would not buy from them again. In our opinion there are other companies out there who offer a better product for the same price.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review, we're always open to feedback! As you've noticed we've just re-branded yesterday to Mixtons and have moved away from plastic pouches to glass bottles as these are recyclable :)
To address your point about volume, every single cocktail is made properly with 2 full measures of base alcohol (in this case vodka). 85ml is the base volume as when shaken with ice the cocktail comes to about 110ml. Looking at renowned company recipes, such as Absolut (the vodka we use), their Espresso's actually come to 80ml (https://www.absolutdrinks.com/en/drinks/espresso-martini/).
We have had a few comments regarding volume and took this on board as part of the re-brand. All of our short cocktails are now 100ml as standard and all of our long cocktails are 200ml. We've tweaked the recipes of each to make sure the taste of the drinks is improved and fits the new volume!
Unlike other brands, our cocktails are hand-made and we don't pasteurise or add any preservatives to our cocktails and only use high quality ingredients. This does allow others to have higher volumes (with lower ABV's% typically) but we try to do things properly.

I've tried around 5-6 since being stuck at home and these are the tastiest and most well thought out. They're clearly fresh and don't contain any weird preservatives like the others.
I will be a frequent buyer from now on!

One of our main focus when we started off creating the cocktails was their taste. We're really proud of our how the drink flavours turned out as we worked really hard to reach the point where we can say our cocktails are the best tasting in the market (all based on public research and years of mixology experience)! The actual measure of alcohol is the same in each drink, but due to the variation of strength in spirits, the amount of ingredients added and necessary dilution caused shaking with ice, we couldn't compromise with just adding more liquid, as it altered the flavour far too much.

Delicious cocktails - definitely recommend!
Having tried to order from another company and waiting so long I cancelled the order; I was hesitant to make another order somewhere else. I really shouldn’t have worried. The order was processed really quickly, and the cocktails were delicious. So much so I placed another order the following week of the ones we liked most. We were both really impressed and will definitely be placing more orders.

Let down on delivery
My order was a gift to someone as a Thank You. Having been advised of the delivery date I advised the recipient. When it hadnt been delivered by the end of the day I had to contact Knocktails. I was told there had been a problem with collection and would be delivered on next day. I should not have had to phone to find out that delivery had a problem. This was very embarrassing for me as the gift was important. This is the reason for the drop of a point.
However, the recipient loved the cocktails and was happy once she had received them. Dates are important and are picked for a reason. Disappointed and not sure I will use them again.
