A positive experience.
After calling one locksmith in Bury Lancashire the bill had crept up to £614 after simply breaking the lock off with no guarantee of any additional increasing cost. With keytech it was a very positive experience from start to finish. James was our texhician and had managed to open the door within 30 seconds of his arrival. He then showed us the failing component and assured us it wouldn't be as costly as it could have been as he could just replace a particular part. The girl who took my call in the first place was beyond excellent, she was professional and friendly. You will most certainly get a great service from this company. I highly recommend them.

they want private parking and red carpet to do the job
booking was confirmed for before noon and I'd confirmed to lady on phone that there was no private parking facilities and being the centre of Bath there is only on-street parking. When the Locksmith arrived at 11:40 he said he wouldn't do the job as there was no parking provided directly outside the front door. So he drove off. Very disappointing.

Don’t pay £158.40 for a post box/letterbox, especially if they have fixed it about 4 or 10 times in front of you. Wasting your time and money!
I needed my post box/letterbox fixed from my landlord/housing association. They could not send anyone out on the day. So I had to call a “Professional” Locksmith to fix the letter box/post box. Took a long time to show up, thankfully finally showed up, got in the way of my dinner time.
Fixed the lock about 4 to 10 times in front of my eyes!!
I kept saying you done it, it’s fixed! Just kept taking lock out and fixing in again.
To my dismay I was told the fee was £158.40 for a new lock and keys.
Not an easy payment for someone who has not been allowed to drive and is 36!
Took a break to the heart that did.
Thankful fixed just not paying that again. Crying from that…. Thoughtless act!!!

Letterbox locks unfortunately can't usually be repairs for a long-term solution, so a replacement is often required.

Response time was excellent and engineer changed lock on front door. However the new lock is difficult to operate as he said the door needs to be adjusted but he was unable to do it. The price of the lock at sixty five pounds plus vat is excessive as the same lock from a retail outlet is forty nine pounds including vat

We’re sorry to hear, however, that the door is still difficult to operate. Upon inspection, our locksmith found that the door had dropped significantly on its hinges. He adjusted where possible, but due to the extent of the drop, a specialist who can realign or potentially replace the hinges would be best placed to fully resolve this issue.

The locksmith Jamie was great
The locksmith Jamie was great, knowledgeable and efficient.
However, I wouldn't use this firm again because of the unnecessary hoops you have to get through on communication, ie that I can't contact the locksmith directly, but have to go through central office for every arrangement. This is a nuisance when there are several visits to arrange.
