AMAZING moving experience with the best team
A better moving experience than I could ever have imagined! Every part of the process was seamless - Rosie was friendly, efficient and really helpful with all my questions about arranging my move. Their prices are so reasonable compared to other quotes I got yet their service was absolutely brilliant. Liam and Casey were fantastic - they disassembled my furniture and emptied my flat quickly, calmly and with zero damage or problems, then got it all into my new house faster than I could ever have hoped. They’re a really friendly family team and completely took the stress out of moving for me - I’ll never use anyone else! Thanks so much Rosie, Liam and Casey

5* Service
These guys are FANTASTIC. Used for our house move tail end of 2022 from Fleet area to Godalming area, and honestly couldn't recommend enough. Best quote we had for a start (very reasonable prices) and efficient doesn't even begin to cover how they work. Everything handled with care and precision, packed securely, and move completed swiftly. 100% would use you both again and again. Thank you.

Fantastic Team All-Round!!
Fantastic service! Excellent communication, flexibility and understanding throughout the whole process. We had a very complicated move with the exchange/completion date changing multiple times and Rosie was very empathetic to our circumstances. On the day, the team were great - they turned up on time and got cracking with the job with an impressive level of efficiency. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant service from beginning to end!
I just moved today to a new flat. From the moment I requested a quote until the end of the moving service, all went smoothly. Jonesmoves is a family-owned company, who care about its clients until the end. Decent prices compared to other big companies with lots of little letters to read between the lines. Here no hassles and no unnecessary charges. Either by phone or email, just let them know what you need to move and they will ensure to provide you all they can for a smooth service. And during the nice day itself, the 2 guys did a wonderful job carrying all the boxes and furniture for quite a few hours ( I had many boxes). They were careful all the time to not scratch or damage anything. Very punctual and honest throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them to friends and would definitely contact them again in the future! Thank you Jonesmoves for this smooth and stress-free move!

When I was trying to choose a removals…
When I was trying to choose a removals company, I was bombarded with emails, texts, quotes (ranging from £300 - £2000). I wasn’t asking much. Pack up and move a one bedroom flat in to a house. Jones move struck me as a potential. They didn’t hound me with quotes or texts, it was actually quite refreshing. I couldn’t have been more pleased. The team fully boxed up our contents and moved everything securely and promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends or to use them again. Rosie and the team were a pleasure to work with. The price was realistic and sensible. Don’t be fooled by cheap quotes. Do your homework. They are cheap to lure you in. You’ll pay for it in the end. Use a reputable insured company like Jonesmoves and take the stress of moving away

Movers walked off and decided they…
Movers walked off and decided they didn’t want to do the move! Do not consider this company for your move unless you want to risk not moving at all. Team showed up late, clearly did not want to do the move despite full move details being supplied (floor, parking arrangement). Walked off and never moved us.
[Postscript - a very dramatic and creative re-write of history by Jones Moves. It’s also inaccurate. We are free to share our negative experience with others. We also value family run businesses which is why we use them. Such businesses should also reflect on all feedback so they can grow and improve.]

You are a returning customer of ours and the first move, we moved you perfectly, no issues. You lied to us then too about what you had, we massively underquoted you but we got on with it and didn’t even charge you more! In the meantime between that job and this job you’ve moved in to a new property and we didn’t have your date available so you moved in with a different removals company and then come back to us when it was time to move out. (guessing due to you messing the other removals company around too) We quoted you based on the information you gave us, I was more thorough with the information I asked you for this time and you told me parking arrangements and that the sofa/dining table had to be brought up the stairs to sixth floor as they won’t fit in the lift. So we quoted you accordingly.
On the day, the team were supposed to arrive at 9am. At 8:36am I messaged you to say, ever so sorry the team will be arriving at 9:30am due to heavy traffic. We had a time set for between 8-9am, if you hadn’t have changed this last minute they would have been on time. So regarding your comment about them arriving late, this was not done carelessly.
When the team arrived, you was extremely rude from the get go, it started by you saying you had been promised four men. This wasn’t the case, when the team told you we never had four men last time, you argued with them and told them “get on with it” and told your husband “deal with them I’m going to speak to the Porter”
It was obvious from the get go, we’d been lied to. Starting with the parking - there was none. The Porter told us that he wasn’t aware that there were two vans coming and that he could try and get us somewhere out on the road. The Porter was barely even aware that you were moving at all. This then caused an argument between yourself and the Porter.
The second lie being the lift. Your property is 6 floors up, who knows how many stairs. The lift would fit 5 boxes in there maximum. The items off the top of my head you had that would not fit in there are as follows - peloton, dining table, super king sized bed and mattress, marble console the list goes on. You knew this would be the case and kept it from us, you knew the last removals team had to carry every item up to the sixth floor and I assume that’s why you never used them this time around as they either quoted you a fortune or refused to take your job.
You went down to the Porter and shouted at him again, by this point the team and the Porter were just being moaned at left right and centre.
It was obvious at this point the team were out of their depth, we hadn’t turned up knowing what we were coming in to, you weren’t truthful when we quoted you. Your husband told us on the day he would pay double for the move! You knew you had lied to us and we did not have the team for the move. We told you it was not possible, you had another option and we refunded you immediately.
This was not good for us! We are a small family business you took advantage. You wasted a day out of our calendar, you wasted time and money of ours. You got a full refund. I’d say we were well within our right to withhold some of that due to the money and time we lost, but we didn’t, because we are fair and we are reasonable. We are always honest and any job that comes in that is out of our depth we tell the truth and we turn it down and we recommend other people so that their move is still stress free. So not only do you waste our time, money and energy, you give us a one star review to lose us business aswell.
Excellent experience
The team that moved our one bedroom flat was brilliant. They were friendly, helpful and worked really quickly.
I would definitely recommend them.

Could not be happier
I came across Jones Moves via Compare My Move and found them friendly and professional from the get-go. Quoted a very competitive price and every aspect of my experience using them was 5 star from initial contact and liaising prior to the move with Rosie in the office through the guys carrying out the move on the day. Will be using them again for future moves and would not hesitate to recommend them!
