From modest beginnings in Enfield as a single store in 1971, Jollyes has now grown into one of the leading pet food superstores with over 100 locations across the UK alongside a market-leading position in Northern Ireland. Accused of stealing.
We buy all our dog food from here, never had a problem. Today we popped in and spent over £30. Tapped my card, it said accepted and left the shop. The manager then comes running after us saying we haven’t paid. I showed her my banking app, she even took a photo. Then she asked me to pay again. I said no. So she said she cannot let me leave with my goods. There were other customers, by now it appeared she was accusing me of stealing. She went to call another manager, I waited in the shop. She was a long time, I asked the other person how long she would be, she checked then said I could leave. No apology from the manager at all. It was embarrassing.
