Paid 288 decided in 2 minutes that I wasn’t going to pay that match and FLAT CANCELLED THE policy. ONLY GETTING $125 r refund?!?!?! I used to be a licensed insurance agent for 20 years! That’s WRONG a flat cancellation provides 100% refund!!!!

If a car has financing attached, offering anything without comp and collision should never happen. It’s the law and you’re offering a product that isn’t legal. Be careful when using this company if you have a financed or leased vehicle.

As a disabled veteran, I find it imperative to share my experience with Root Insurance, particularly regarding their billing practices and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to warn others, especially fellow veterans, to exercise caution when considering their services.

Initially, I chose Root Insurance for their innovative approach to auto coverage, but I soon encountered significant issues. I was charged for an insurance policy dated for 2024 while I was still in the midst of my 2025 policy term. This confusing billing practice left me not only bewildered but also financially impacted. To make matters worse, my existing policy was cancelled without clear communication or justification.

The lack of transparency in their billing process has been frustrating, and attempts to resolve these issues through customer support have been far from helpful. As a veteran who has served my country, I expected a higher standard of service and accountability.

If you are a veteran or anyone considering Root Insurance, I urge you to proceed with caution. It is essential to thoroughly review your billing statements and policies, and to be vigilant about any discrepancies. My experience has led me to seek alternative insurance providers who demonstrate more reliable practices and customer care.

In conclusion, while I had high hopes for Root Insurance, my experience has prompted me to look elsewhere. I hope this review serves as a helpful warning to others in our community.

I wouldn't recommend Root to anyone. I loved them before my accident. Affordable pricing, app was easy to navigate. My accident was on 10/15, and I filed with them first. Offered me way less than I was expecting & took off over a grand on my quote for "minor dents and scratches"(assuming those were there before accident happened) and "dirty carpets". At fault driver's insurance & myself have been emailing for a week trying to get the car released for an inspection. Finally got ahold of adjuster today to be told I can't even get a rental unless I use Root (even though I pay extra every month). Adjuster hasn't answered my phone calls or emails. I will 1000% be cancelling my policy once this is settled.

It went very smoothly. I am not a computer geek but was able to get through everything pretty well.

I was confused with link that you guys sent to my phone, I had to get rid of my debt card because it got hacked through that link you sent to my phone. I will provide a new debt card once the bank mail the new one. it was something about a test drive and the hacker is footydaddy.

Im happy i got a very low rate.

I was eggar to find me a good quote and i got it here with ROOT. Easy no hassle. Never even heard of this group before. So far it’s good in my books.

So far everything looks good let's hope that they keep my payments low and don't find some unnecessary reason to raise it, also I'll like copies of my insurance documents Mailed to my house address please thanks.

10/30-The app, does not work. I am a new customer and all it does is sent me to request I quote. I am trying to use the app as an exiting customer.

Out of all the insurance companies that I went through. Root was the cheapest one for my 24-year-old.
