Purchased an expensive cashmere sweater which quickly began to have little balls of cashmere after very little wear. I can no longer wear it out of the house. Very expensive mistake.

Support is inconsistent
Support was inconsistent, i.e. sometimes slow to respond, sometimes fast and sometimes does not respond at all. Often impossible to reach by phone even after many attempts.
Cashmere sweaters looked really different in a real life. Especially the fit was not as sharp and smooth as it was presented on their website. Returned all sweaters because of that and left only scarves.
Return process was not very smooth. Took time and frequent follow ups.
Questions on 'return of goods' remained unanswered.

Great products and helpful customer service
I recently ordered a cashmere tracksuit from Johnston's of Elgin. Although the sizing on the website is quite a bit off and I had to return one of the items, I was impressed with how quickly the company dealt with my inquiry (picking up the phone without making me wait on the phone for ages and even calling me back afterward to resolve the issue!). It is a rarity these days that a company owns up to its mistakes and resolves them so quickly. I will confidently buy Johnsonts of Elgin in the future!

Great quality. Fast and trustworthy customer service.
This was my third online order from Johnstons and the first time I had to return one of the items. The quality of the products has always been excellent, but this was my first experience of the post-sales customer service. I returned the item using the prepaid returns label which was included in the delivery box. Tracking showed it was received yesterday, and I received the refund less than 24 hours later! Fast, painless service in the middle of a Covid lockdown. Thank you for making it easy to deal with you online when it's not possible to get to the store - this experience has boosted my confidence about buying from you again in the future.

Bought a 3- ply cashmere crew neck pullover. Superb quality, exquisite packaging and excellent customer service! The size chart is accurate. These guys could teach others to be efficient! Very, very professional! Will buy much more. Highly recommended!
