Too many people at one time

Great gym, great equipment, very well situated.

Joined JD Bolton recently, it's a nice gym. One member of staff I've spoken to was lovely and helpful.

The showers were a bit smelly when I used them unfortunately but hoping it was a one time thing?

I feel staff need to be more on top of the tidying weights away situation as unfortunately inconsiderate, lazy people leave weights out once they're done with them but it makes finding dumbells harder when they're scattered around everywhere. Again not the gyms fault but something to keep an eye out for.

Range of classes looks good not tried any yet but will be doing in the future!

Locked out of my account and cant use gym even though I have paid the £5

Really good gym and has a lot of equipment, the vibes are just great!! Very good first month offer for students but can be a bit pricey after that. I recommend this gym but I advice to go in the morning or before 5-9pm as it gets quite packed.

Great gym with excellent facilities, loads of equipment, and a friendly atmosphere. The staff are helpful, the classes are motivating, and it’s amazing value for money. Highly recommend!

The gym is great and there are friendly people , well most of them, the girls can get bitchy sometimes . I especially enjoy Jordan spin and hitt classes , they are challenging , sweaty and refreshing Also Victoria spin and hitt on Monday and Wednesdays aren’t one to miss , with her music , her encouraging attitude and her varieties of spin and hitt classes, you will never be bored and will always be amazed at your strength as she will always push you to your limit each time

Best gym for workout nice people and professional trainers there.

Nice n clean

Really good and empty in morning, gives me much more space and comfort to workout, thought I recommend to add skipping ropes in the upstairs rooms since people like to skip (me being one of them people and my friends too)

Customers without smartphones aren't catered for. You MUST have an app with the QR code in order to gain access to the gym. I appreciate a code system is flawed, as in the past people have allowed other people o use their code, therefore ruining it for the rest of us, but maybe a card system which has photo ID would be a much better alternative.

Rejoined jd, was a member of Bury JD before trying the Bolton one, a lot of the equipment seemed dated and a few machines were broken, it needs a refurb. But ok.

Just get the membership you never regret

Equipment worn out, many times some machines aren’t working/out of order.
The music is stupidly loud, complaint raised about this, I was advised that I will receive a response regarding this, but nothing heard.
Membership fee has gone up, but service and equipment has gone down massively.
JD was good at one point hence why i even gave it a two and have some hope they will turn this around, otherwise I would give it a 1*

All the best classes are either too early in the morning or in the afternoon. Some of the 18:20 classes are not as good as the 17:00 ones. For someone that works 9-5 like me never get to do classes like spin, body pump etc. It would be good to alternate the classes, so everyone has a chance to experince them.

I think the gym it's self for the most part is pretty good. Plenty of space and equipment for everyone.
The one part that has always dissapointed me about the JD Gym Bolton branch, is the lack of cleaning equipment to wipe down things before/after use.
I've been on and off at this gym for a number of years and everytime, the lack of cleaning equipment really dissapoints me and let's the gym down in my opinion.
I just came back from living abroad for a while and the gyms I went to there, all had plenty readily available, tissues, spray etc to clean equipment, making hygien much better.
It would be great if this issue could be addressed.

To busy always and not enough equipment to go around needs to be bigger an alot more equipment needed
