I Was at the gym Bolton yesterday and I am sick of being asked how many sets I've got left if I'm in the machine leave me alone I go there to do my work out n go home not to be mithered or intimidated to leave the machine ...they are constantly in ur face waving there hands while I'm concentrating on what I'm doing then one fella went and told the staff because I told him to go away n he wouldn't so told him again ...this is the worst gym I have been to u can't even get on half of the machines it's ridiculous worst gym ever I have stopped my member ship due to this

Bolton JD Gyms Needs loads of improvement
I have been a member of this gym since the Helios days, and I remember how great it was when it first became JD Gyms. Unfortunately, I now only continue attending because of the friendships we've built with other members and the people I train with. The gym itself is no longer the reason I stay.
The biggest issue is hygiene. The cleanliness throughout the gym has deteriorated significantly. The toilets are often in an unacceptable condition, and the yoga mats are genuinely unhygienic and in desperate need of proper cleaning or replacement.
I attend evening classes, and the class timetable has become increasingly disappointing. Classes led by popular freelance instructors are regularly cancelled and replaced by in-house staff who, in my experience, often lack the energy and enthusiasm that made the classes enjoyable. For example, Vicky's Monday classes were cancelled, and there are no classes available at weekends. On top of that, there is often a shortage of weights and equipment during classes, making it difficult for everyone to train properly.
Most of the staff are friendly and approachable. However, the General Manager appears to spend most of his time sitting at the entrance rather than being visible on the gym floor or actively addressing the issues members regularly experience.
Finally, the car park is another concern. Members are fined for incorrect parking, yet there is little protection for customers' vehicles. There is no effective CCTV coverage, so when cars are damaged there is no security footage available. It seems unfair that parking enforcement is prioritised while member security is overlooked.
Overall, the gym has declined considerably in standards. The key issues that need urgent attention are:
. Poor hygiene throughout the gym, including toilets and equipment.
. A lack of classes and declining quality of the class timetable.
. Inadequate CCTV and security in the car park.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as the gym has the potential to be a great facility again.

Good place to promote depression
Good facilities.
However, atmosphere isn't very good at all.
Too much space is wasted in the changing rooms, hence, not enough benches. Too many lockers in comparison. They need much more benches.
The sauna doesn't always work.
Water is always too cold, the shower pipework makes noises each time.
Dirty floor, unhygienic changing rooms.
And above all, no one ever says hi to each other or even cracks a smile to one another, including the staff.
It's like being stuck in a queue for a really long time in blistering heat, with no water. Everyone just seems as they are waiting out for a life sentence here.
A gym is supposed to help people, not promote depression and loneliness.
This place is only suited for the arrogant, selfish, stuck up, stubborn and disrespectful people.
I'd happily shift over to fitness academy or a private gym.

JD gyms in Bolton is WAY too over…
JD gyms in Bolton is WAY too over crowded this year .It used to be joyful as I’ve been going for a few years now but every time I go majority of the time I’m waiting for 1 machine that has 5 other people waiting to use it . Studio closes at 8 which is the busiest time so this doesn’t help either . No age restrictions either.

Shocking gym classes keep getting cut…
Shocking gym classes keep getting cut all the time time for under performing but most of them are full they just want the Pts to do them cause it saves money but they are not good at all. The time table is shocking not one class at the weekend! It is so dirty it I’m suprised it has not been shut down for health and safety. The machine are old and half broken. Hi can a gym allow people in to train in crocs and sandals well jd bolton do mind boggling!

Disrespectful people everywhere, one guy using 3 machines at the same time putting his water bottle in one saying he is using it even if he didnt even touch it for several minutes.

JD Gym Bolton is absolutely terrible
JD Gym Bolton is absolutely terrible. There is very little equipment, the place is not cleaned properly, and many of the mirrors are broken. Overall, this gym is in poor condition and not worth the membership at all

We do understand how frustrating it can be when the gym is very busy and equipment is out of order. Our gyms are very popular, especially at peak times, but this can fluctuate throughout the day.
In terms of equipment, our teams carry out regular maintenance checks and work with engineers to get any faults resolved as quickly as possible, but we appreciate how disruptive it can be while items are unavailable.

Jd Gyms stay clear
They reply after reading the review although managed to speak to a manager and email was already sent to them however received a message saying they cannot do anything . I had used the iPad at the gym to put my plate number in but they have just passed the buck . Useless reply as obviously the review not read properly nor have they looked at anything . The company and the parking company are all in it together . Useless also the parking company without sending me a reply to my message to them sent it to debt collectors . I have paid the fine however will make sure I never use the Gym again . After escalation I have had a call from the area manager whom also was totally unhelpful just passing the buck to the Carpark owners . A resolution would have been simple but these companies not interested.

Place is good
Place is good. But no staff to help us out for work out or how to use equipment. I show couple of trainers but they only busy flattering with girls who’s work out on tradmill. 👏👏👏👏👏

For my first time I am quite…disappointed
For my first time I am quite disappointed has there isn’t machine for glutes very disappointing , there is just one we’re you will have o use a barbell but that’s quite very uncomfortable
I really wish there was more glutes machine at lest 2 of it but has a fist time I just didn’t like the fact JD has none I come from a Puregym and the gym group and most of them have
I really wish this could be sorted has soon has possible has I don’t want to always have to use the barbells all the time I train glutes but use the machine instead

Barrier issue and poor ventilation
To start with, the scanning barrier at the entrance is very difficult to use and very frustrating. Please can it be made easier for the users of the facility. Another major issue in the building is poor ventilation. I've been sick ever since i went their and never gone back since. I'm thinking of asking for my money back to be honest. Please improve these things if you really care about your customers.
