Ollie saved the day …

After an Apple upgrade over the weekend, 2 of our IPads had difficulty opening, and we were unable to access anything. Contacted Apple Support by telephone, and after 2 long conservations, the problem was not resolved. Visited the iStore in Guildford Mon morning, and was greeting by Ollie. In a short period of time, Ollie had resolved the problem on both IPads. Ollie is a very knowledgeable, helpful young man. He offered reassurance, and resolved the problem quickly. He is without doubt a wonderful asset to the Team @ iStore. Thank you Ollie.

I booked a 40 minute slot for my iPhone…

I booked a 40 minute slot for my iPhone 14 to have battery replaced and was given the price also online. When I attended I was told I would have to allow 2 to 3 hours for replacement which had been made clear at booking. The assistant told me they were a franchise so couldn’t control the information online. Also that it is a complicated job taking it apart as the phones are not designed to do that. Also that there was no guarantee of time frame to service the phone as it all depends when the technicians become free from their previous job. More of this info should have been available online. Istore at Rushden Lakes Northants.

Our appointment slots are 20 minutes and are intended for device check-in and assessment, not the duration of the repair itself. The actual repair time can only be confirmed during the appointment, once the device has been inspected by our technicians. This is clearly outlined step by step in the confirmation email sent at the time of booking.

While we understand your frustration, iPhone battery replacements do require careful disassembly and must be completed by qualified technicians using Apple-approved procedures. Repair timing can vary depending on technician availability and the condition of the device at the time of assessment.

If you are able to share where a 40-minute repair duration was stated, feel free to contact us at marketing@istore.co.uk and we would look into this further.

iStore Woking - Great same day service!

Sam at the Woking Store reassured me that I didn’t need a replacement screen as it was only my screen protector that had cracked. So I was lucky enough just to need a new screen protector! Great service and same day appointment! It’s located in the Peacock Centre Woking.

My review is specifically for I store Tunbridge Wells Kent.
The staff team are second to none. Absolutely outstanding. I was supported from the moment I walked in store. Nothing to do with if I was spending lots of money.
I had a fairly serious issue with my I phone. Harry the in store tech was fantastic. He was kind and saw I was very upset and distressed. He talked through how he could help and reassured me he could solve the issue. Big shout out to Harry. You truly were my angel friend who helped more than words can say. Thank you.

My wife said her Apple Watch wasn’t…

My wife said her Apple Watch wasn’t charging in Istore (Woking), they checked it and said the cable was faulty, she had the receipt and explained it was purchased just over a year ago, they said it would take a week to return. I asked if I could purchase a new one and when the replacement came get a refund they refused and said if we were in an apple shop they might replace it immediately but they couldn’t, we then left and contacted apple, they said it was only covered for a year. Although Woking guarantee for 2 years I cannot believe their customer service is such that they expect you to travel twice and be without your watch for a week just to cover a £29 cable. We returned a bought one but left deflated never to return.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience at our Woking store and understand how frustrating this situation must have been.

As an Apple Authorised Service Provider, replacement accessories such as charging cables must be requested directly from Apple and cannot be exchanged immediately in store. Although Apple’s standard warranty on accessories is one year, we were able to arrange a free-of-charge replacement under our extended two-year iStore warranty. Unfortunately, this does require the replacement cable to be ordered, which is why a short wait was necessary.

We appreciate that this was inconvenient and regret that we were unable to offer an alternative solution at the time that better suited your needs. We’re sorry this experience left you feeling deflated and hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future. ~ Irene
