Ordered rug on Feb.21. It arrived today ( March 1 ) in Nelson.
Rug exactly as picture on website.
Incidentally, purchased a small piece of art from a Christchurch gallery on the same day. It has yet to arrive!

2 stars because the shipment arrived on time, the rug itself is barely usable. I can’t bother sending this dump back so I’ll just buy an other one. I prefer not to loose my time with companies like that taking the p**s of its customers.

A terrible company it pretends to be a local company so you feel you can buy and return goods within New Zealand but its not the case. If you're not happy with the quality thickness color etc, because face it online shopping images are not always true representation of what you see physically..you have to return it to Switzerland or the US. Item I purchased is worth $130 and cost 3 times to return.

Like others, I did not realise this was not a NZ website. If I read the reviews on this site prior to purchase, I probably would have been reluctant to buy. However, I had a great experience. Customer service was great (thank you Nur). I had to adjust my delivery address. Delivery was quick - arrived 5 days after I ordered. I love my rug. It is great quality and it was packaged well.

This company is a scam posing as a rug company. They appear to be a New Zealand company, but they are not. We were renting a place for a week and ordered two rugs. Only AFTER purchasing were we informed they would be sent from the US. They would take so long to get here that we will not be here to receive them. We contacted them immediately to cancel the order.
This is when the scam starts. Rather than cancel, they would rather send them, knowing that the return cost to get a “full refund” outweighs the initial cost. They have attempted to lay fault with us, and eventually promised us to intercept the package before it left the States. This was a lie. They have no intention of delivering the “outstanding customer experience” as is their “company mission”.
I am now contacting the Ombudsman and Commerce Commission to have their legal practices reviewed. I hope they will be savage.

Although the website advertises delivery within 30 days this is at the buyers cost to warehouses overseas. We purchased a rug via the website irug.co.nz. After delivery we needed to return and were told it would need to be returned to their warehouse in Switzerland at a courier cost higher than the cost of the rug. On looking further on their website it is stated under the 'Returns Policy' link that 'Buyer is responsible for all returns, buyer must pay for return shipping to either of our warehouses in Switzerland or the United States.'. However this is never a viable option because of the cost so although they offer returns, in reality no one will ever return anything.

Good rug for a reasonable price as rugs as normally very pricey. Only thing is the rug I ordered was a little bit darker than the photo but you get that sometimes with online orders.
It does take several weeks before the mat will flatten out though, the delivery was fast. I'd def recommend this site.

Great choice of affordable rugs in many different sizes. They are shipped from the USA free and arrive REALLY quickly. We ordered 4 rugs and are delighted with them

I ordered 2 pcs of 75cm x 500cm Everyday Solid Runner Rug from iRugs.co.nz and I received them here at my doorstep in NZ just 4 days after ordering. I didn't have to pay for anything else upon their arrival. (They are only worth below $500 though.) The company's warehouse is in the USA, which is actually stated under the FAQ on their website. I'm so happy with the runners! They were the cheapest I can find online. The quality is good. They are not too thin. They are exactly what I was looking for! They don't have a non-slip backing, but they don't slip at all on our wooden floors. The customer service also replied to my query promptly. They were informative and helpful. I'd definitely recommend!

I am another NZ customer who only became aware that irugs are based in the USA, after placing my 1st order. However 16 days later (I live rural) I received my lovely big rug which was exactly as described, beautiful rich colors and in perfectly good order. It had been rolled for delivery so there were no creases what so ever! I have since bought 3 more rugs of various sizes, from irugs and I cant praise them enough for their fast & free deliveries and extremely well made quality rugs, at affordable prices. With 4 rugs now adding beautiful colors & comfort to my home, I am truly delighted.
I fully understand people's concerns with shopping on unknown websites but "from my own experience" purchasing from irugs on 3 seperate occasions I can assure you that they are indeed legitimate and their rugs are simply GORGEOUS!!

Ordered my rug in New Zealand on 10th March. After ordering I researched the reviews and was concerned. But, my rug arrived on 30th March in perfect condition and was exactly as shown on website. Very pleased with quality and service.

My only moan is I wasn't aware they weren't a NZ based company. Only found out when I received the Fedex shipping notification, then looked at the reviews. Apart from that, nothing but praise for the amazing selection, prices and super quick shipment. Even in a pandemic I received my rug within 2 weeks, ahead of schedule & great updates of it's location. I love the runner, as does my dog who immediately sat on it.

Terrible. Do not buy from this company. $1500 “antique” rug arrived with three patched areas (different rug poorly attached to main rug) and leaking red dye over my children and our clothing etc.
Settled for a $400 partial-refund as they quoted $1000 to return.
So disheartening.

Although the process was easy and the product was delivered only an extra 5 days after the FedEx notified date of delivery I am not happy it. The primary red colour is not the same as the photo and the pattern not as defined. It is a very thin and cheap looking piece of carpet which feels slippery to walk on (even after vacuuming) and not like a plush rug at all. I’m glad we purchased at $239 and not to $478 RRP as it is definitely not worth either price but I won’t bother returning, I’ll sell it on Facebook market place to try recoup some cost since this “NZ company” operates out of USA & Switzerland haha oh well as my partner said that’s what you get for buying from the internet … lesson learnt!

Received my rug within 1 week from US to New Zealand. Very happy with quality and colour. Definitely recommend them. 👌

I should have read the reviews first before ordering two hall runners. Like many others I thought I was buying from within NZ. It has tuned out to be a long winded saga which 10wks later there are no carpets and hopefully I get refunded.
Ordered on the 27th October, the rugs looked to have left the warehouse the next day. Then I received an email asking for my importers number. I had not seen anywhere that I needed an importers number ( and I thought they were coming from within NZ so did I miss that information?)
At the same time I got a txt saying I needed to pay import duty - a scam so I deleted the txt and the emails which i thought was a scam as well.
3 weeks later I discover the emails from FedX in Auckland were legit. The parcels had arrived and I did need to get an importers number. I did that and got that sorted. Fed X then passed it on to the broker - whoever that might be for clearance.
A month later still no carpets so i rang irugs.co.nz and were told I could reorder or apply for a refund.
I have gone for the refund but where are the carpets which apparently had arrived in NZ.
Too confusing, too hard and too misleading.
The helpline which I rang twice, at least they were pleasant and helpful.
I'm hoping the refund process doesn't take as long but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Paid $836 for a natural braided jute rug. Turned out the rug is a burnt orange colour and does not go with my wooden floor. The quality was appalling, loose threads sticking out everywhere. I emailed irugs wit the photos of the rug showing the loose threads as requested. They offered me a refund of $71 and a return shipping label of $765. I feel physically sick from the experience.

My husband and I brought a rug thinking it was a NZ site however it shipped from the USA. I was a bit wary that it would not arrive. However it came by FED EX very quickly. The rugs are reasonably priced and I am happy with our shaggy rug that we chose, exactly like the picture on the site. We will have to buy an underlay to stop it from moving on our floors but that's a minor thing. I would happily purchase one again.
