As a long standing customer, I convinced my cousin to give Iolla a try rather than buying from her usual optician. Can’t thank Liz at StJ Q enough for her patience , reassurance and advice for quite a complex prescription for varifocals. Looking forward to wearing them!

Staff in the shop were lovely and really helpful. I had an issue with delivery and they dealt with Royal Mail for me. Thankfully they arrived eventually but the offered send me an new pair as soon as possible if the didnt arrive.

My lens are really thick and need thinned down. The price i pay in Iolla for lens, frames and thinning is fantastic!

I won' t go anywhere else now for ny glasses.

I wear glasses with a varifocal lens for one eye and just a balancing lens for the other as that eye is pretty useless. I’ve always gone to a smaller independent optician in Edinburgh but it was getting pretty expensive so when my eye test was due I decided to take my new prescription to iOLLA on the back of a recommendation.
I explained that I wanted the thinnest lens possible, scratch resistant coating and a blue light filter as I view screens a lot for work.
I had already been to two opticians for a price and the cost at each one was upwards of £450 for frames and lenses.
I had a look at the frames at iOLLA and liked the idea that there was a Scottish theme with the names and that the glasses were assembled in Scotland. What I also like is that the pricing is simple at £85 for complete glasses for regular lenses but naturally mine were going to be more expensive based on my prescription. However, I was delighted when the total price was only £295. My wife also got her reading glasses at iOLLA based on her new prescription and it was a straightforward £85 just as advertised.
I must admit though, I was nervous when I went to collect my new glasses as I didn’t know if the quality was going to be what I expected. However, I’m absolutely delighted with them. The fit was perfect as is my vision both for distance and reading…plus they look great! In fact I dropped by the shop again yesterday to buy some lens cleaning fluid (apparently you can drop by and refill the bottle for free!) and while I was there I also bought folding clip-ons which are tailored for each type of frame to turn my glasses into sunglasses.
The team are enthusiastic, deliver great service and I will be using iOLLA from now on. Highly recommended.
