The outfit you purchased is made from Silk Karandi, which is a traditional woven fabric originating from the Punjab region of Pakistan. One of the defining characteristics of genuine Karandi is its naturally textured weave, created by the yarn itself during the weaving process. These small irregularities are an intentional feature of the fabric and are not fabric bobbling or a sign of wear. Textured, hand-inspired weaves have been associated with premium South Asian textiles for centuries and remain highly valued for their distinctive appearance and character.

The texture you noticed after wearing the outfit for a few hours would therefore have been present from the day it was manufactured, as it is an inherent property of the fabric rather than something that develops through use. This particular design was one of our most popular Silk Karandi collections and has now completely sold out, with many customers specifically choosing it because of this traditional woven finish.

We completely appreciate that if someone is unfamiliar with Karandi, they may mistake its natural woven texture for bobbling. However, this is not a defect or a sign that the garment has aged. In fact, if anyone comments that it looks like an "old suit", you can confidently explain that the texture is one of the authentic characteristics of genuine Karandi fabric and part of what makes it so distinctive.

We are sorry that the fabric did not meet your personal expectations, but we hope this explanation helps clarify why the texture is an intentional feature rather than a quality issue.

We would like to clarify that XL is the largest size offered by the designer for this particular outfit. As we sell ready-to-wear clothing from many different brands, sizes such as Small, Medium, Large and XL are not standardised across the fashion industry. This is why every product on our website includes a detailed, product-specific size chart with the actual garment measurements.

Unfortunately, if the largest available size is still too small, we do not have a larger size to offer. However, if the outfit is brand new and unused, you are very welcome to return it within our returns period in accordance with our returns policy.

We would also encourage customers to contact us directly if they experience any issues. We're always happy to help and explain the available options, and there is often far more we can do when we have the opportunity to assist before a review is left.

However, we would like to clarify that ready-to-wear clothing sizes are not standardised across the fashion industry. A "Large" from one designer can have very different measurements from a "Large" produced by another brand. This is precisely why we provide a detailed, product-specific size chart on every product page rather than relying solely on size labels such as Small, Medium or Large.

The size chart allows customers to compare the actual garment measurements against their own measurements before purchasing, as these measurements vary between brands and designs.

We also offer a 14-day returns policy for situations where an item is not suitable, giving customers the opportunity to return the outfit if the fit is not as expected.

While we are sorry that this particular outfit did not fit your aunt comfortably, sizing differences between brands are not a product fault, which is why we provide detailed measurements for every ready-to-wear outfit we sell.

We are sorry to read this review, particularly as this is the first time we have been made aware of any concern regarding the measurements.

Your order was delivered on 3 June, and since then we have not received any email, message, photograph, or request for assistance regarding the sizing. Had you contacted us, we would have been more than happy to investigate the measurements and compare them against the manufacturer's size chart.

We would also like to clarify that a discrepancy in measurements, if one exists, is not "dishonesty". Product measurements are entered by people and, on rare occasions, genuine human errors can occur. If that happens, we can only correct the issue once it is brought to our attention.

As a returning customer, you were already familiar with our returns process and the options available if an item was not suitable. Unfortunately, by leaving a 1-star review without contacting us first, we were not given any opportunity to verify the measurements, correct any possible error, or assist with a return.

We take product information very seriously and would always encourage customers to contact us directly if they believe there is an issue. We remain happy to review the matter if you would like to get in touch with the measurements and photographs of the garment.

We are sorry to read this review and are disappointed that this is the first time we have been made aware of these concerns.

Your order was placed on 8 June and delivered on 10 June, and at the time of writing you remain well within our returns period. Unfortunately, you did not contact us regarding any of the issues mentioned in your review before posting it, which meant we were not given the opportunity to investigate or resolve the matter for you.

The concerns raised include alleged colour differences, a fabric printing issue and a hole in the scarf. Had these issues been reported to us directly, we would have asked for photographs and investigated them immediately. Every outfit we dispatch is individually inspected before shipping, and our packing process is recorded under CCTV. The item was checked and dispatched in excellent condition.

As an independent retailer, we can only address issues that are brought to our attention. We are always happy to assist customers with genuine concerns, whether that involves providing further information, arranging a return, or investigating a possible manufacturing fault.

We are therefore surprised to receive a 1-star review before any contact was made with our customer service team. If you believe the item is not as described or has a defect, we would still encourage you to contact us directly so that we can review the matter properly and assist you accordingly.

However, we feel it is important to clarify a few points for anyone reading this review.

You contacted us directly on 5 June regarding the fit of a specific Sakeena outfit, explaining that the kameez fit well but the medium trousers felt tighter than you expected. We responded promptly and explained that sizing can vary between different brands and designs, which is why every product on our website includes its own product-specific size chart.

In the case of the outfit you referenced, the product page contained a detailed size guide showing individual measurements for the kameez and trousers, including waist, hip, length and other garment measurements. These measurements were provided by the designer and were available before purchase.

We also believe it is important to clarify that your order history does not indicate repeated sizing issues across numerous purchases. Over the last three years, you have placed three orders in total, and the concern raised with us related specifically to the fit of the trousers on your most recent purchase.

Unfortunately, we cannot alter the measurements set by individual designers, nor can we choose sizes on behalf of customers. The most accurate information we can provide is the detailed garment measurements displayed on each product page, which we make available to help customers make informed sizing decisions.

Regarding delivery and return costs, these are clearly explained within our delivery and returns policies before purchase. Return postage is paid directly to the courier transporting the parcel back to us and is not retained by us.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback and, as stated in our email, we passed your comments regarding the trouser fit to the designer for consideration in future collections. However, we do not believe it is fair to describe the size charts as inadequate when the product contained one of the most detailed sizing guides available on our website.

We are disappointed to read this review as it does not accurately reflect what happened.

For transparency, the order was placed on 2 June 2026 at 10:36pm and was dispatched the following day via DPD Next Day exactly as paid for.

According to DPD tracking, a delivery attempt was made on 4 June 2026 at 1:50pm, with the tracking stating: "We missed you. Your driver Jagjeet won't be back today but you can still rearrange your delivery." The tracking can be independently verified here:

You contacted us at 2:07pm on 4 June, and on 5 June at 12:18pm we replied apologising for the inconvenience, confirming that we had raised a complaint with DPD, and specifically asking you to let us know once the parcel arrived so we could discuss all available options depending on the outcome.

At that stage, we did not know whether the parcel would be delivered, returned to us, or significantly delayed. For that reason, we asked you to contact us upon receipt so we could offer the appropriate resolution, including delivery-related remedies if applicable.

The parcel was then successfully delivered by DPD on 5 June 2026 at 1:18pm.

Unfortunately, we never received any further reply to our email. Instead, this review was left yesterday stating that no refund was offered, which is incorrect. We had already responded and were waiting for confirmation of the final delivery outcome before proceeding with the most appropriate solution.

We understand delivery delays are frustrating. However, DPD is an independent courier service and delivery attempts are GPS tracked. We can only act on the information provided by the courier and the communication between ourselves and the customer.

We always try to help and resolve issues fairly, but we also expect respectful communication towards our staff. During our recent telephone conversation, we attempted to explain the timeline and available resolutions, however the discussion became unproductive and we had to end the call.

We remain committed to providing excellent customer service and believe the full timeline above speaks for itself.
