Questionable sales techniques
I urge caution. Approached company based on previous reviews. Payment terms not industry standard and sales team will pester with follow up calls and pricing terms that aren't firm beyond 1 week. Not for anyone that doesn't want to spend 5k for a window on the spot and upfront. Feel free to get in touch for more context.

Thank you for your feedback on your experience of the quotation process.
We note your comments and would like to advise of the following:
Our payment terms, though perhaps not standard for off-the-shelf fixtures are in fact commonplace for fully bespoke custom goods such as those we supply. Like most businesses in this sector, we do follow up with our potential customers for whom we have conducted surveys and provided quotations to ensure that they are looked after throughout the process and in order that we are able to accommodate their preferences.
Though we would like to issue quotations for longer acceptance periods, our prices do change for our bespoke products due to variations in the prices of materials and currency exchange rates, both of which are outside of our control. If we were to issue quotations for longer periods, we would have to be more conservative on our pricing in order to protect against future fluctuations, so we have a policy of issuing quotes for a shorter period in order to keep pricing more accurate and fairer at the time of acceptance. For clarity, we have issued your first quotation on the 31st of August 2023 and we kept it valid until December 2023.
Regarding our pricing, I do acknowledge that we are certainly not the cheapest in the market, however we are absolutely the industry-leaders in terms of quality of materials, workmanship, and overall service. In this way, our ethos is to focus on competing on quality rather than on price or volume of trade, as this policy yields in our experience the best customer satisfaction.
We have worked extremely hard to establish ourselves in this light and continue to pride ourselves on the excellent goodwill we have built up over the years. It is therefore very disappointing when someone who is not even a customer of ours is able to attempt to damage this reputation by leaving protracted negative reviews on the internet on a site intended to provide a legitimate report of real customer experience.
It is of course regrettable that this exchange has taken place on such a public website, but we sincerely hope that both the original reviewer and anyone reading this will be mindful of the fact that the author was not an actual customer of ours and was one of the very rare instances when we did not at the time feel able to constructively work with an individual due to manner of communications we experienced when providing the quotations. I do, however, sincerely hope that this answers the preceding statement and that the matter can now be considered resolved.

Amazing quality
Amazing quality. Never seen such a standard of window before. Beautiful looking inside and out and perform wonderfully. Can’t imagine a better quality window on the market. As with other reviews the team are great. The high quality workmanship makes a huge difference in the installation process. 3/4 of the house has been fitted out and the other 1/4 is in the pipeline! Impressed: "Warm Windows" well built and carefully installed
Impressed with the engineered timber construction of these windows we recently had installed in our 100-year old home in Edinburgh - Double hung sliding sash windows can be tricky but these "Silent Windows" should also be called "Warm Windows" as the two sets of integral draught stripping not only keeps out unwanted sound but also cold air! Very happy too with the skilled and thoughtful joiners who installed the windows in a house which is no longer all square and plumb. The did a good job and very courteous.

We have had sound proof sash windows…
We have had sound proof sash windows supplied and installed by Hugo Carter and can say we are delighted with the windows and the service. We live on a busy noisy road and have a street facing bedroom which is very noisy day and night. The windows have reduced the noise to a gentle sound which has transformed the room, which we can now sleep soundly in.
The installation team were excellent, very helpful, totally professional and did an excellent job. Highly recommend and you will not find better.

Quality Organisation

Life changing!
This is the second lot of windows I've had fitted by Hugo Carter - because the first installation was such a game changer I wanted more in another room. As before the team were super helpful, kept me in touch about timings and did the job (which were difficult arched windows) in speedy time. The windows are amazingly effective, can't recommend the company enough.

Outstanding quality & Service!
I had two large sash windows and one small sash window replaced in May 2023 and they look and sound perfect! The work ethic and attention to detail is the best in the market place from Hugo Carter. I would highly recommend!

I had 6 windows fitted with Hugo Carter. I can honestly say they were very professional from placing my order to the guys fitting the windows. They look absolutely lovely and with the cost of living crisis they have been such good value for money. I can’t feel any draught from the windows. I am extremely pleased with the windows. Sharon

Look no further if you want a peaceful home
Hugo Carter did an excellent job supplying and fitting 3 windows in our house in Battersea. The noise levels from traffic and planes was really high. After contacting various companies Hugo Carter were the only ones that sent someone round to do tests and discuss the job before quoting, they were friendly and helpful and we were confident that their windows, although not the cheapest, would do the job we needed. We went for their highest performing casement windows. The lead time was 3 months which was much less than neighbours who'd ordered new windows before us from another company (4-5 months!). The fitters were friendly, respectful and did a very good job. The transformation in our bedroom is incredible, it has gone from aggravating noise levels to being so peaceful and affording very quiet sleep conditions. Even when a car alarm goes off or there's a leaf blower outside, we can hardly hear it! I would highly recommend Hugo Carter if you want the best acoustic windows possible.

Excellent original sash windows
Excellent original sash windows, and they definitely reduce the noise from road outside - so the noise reduction definitely works!
The fitters worked hard and were very accommodating and understanding, always tidying up at the end of the day.

Sound-proof windows
It was some months before Hugo Carter were able to fit our windows, but when the team came they were very quick, friendly and efficient, installed the windows with no fuss or trouble and left the room neat and tidy. We paid a premium for these windows because of their sound-proofing claims, and we were delighted with the result - they performed exactly as promised. Not cheap, but worth every penny if excellent noise reduction is what you need.

Excellent from start to finish
We have just had all our original windows replaced by Hugo Carter and they are as wonderfully silent as we'd hoped. During this hot summer the windows have been open over night, we opted for the built-in safety mechanism as advised.
When the planes started overhead at 5am I closed the windows and was able to go back to sleep, unlike the past when we were kept awake by the roar of planes. The installation team were tidy and professional, very easy to have around. Whole job was top notch. Expensive, but top quality is worth it. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased with my Hugo Carter sash windows. They provide exactly the noise reduction, which they estimated and they are very nicely made. Their installation team were also excellent. I will not hesitate to recommend Hugo Carter to anyone else who is looking for this type of window.

Faultless service from start to finish. Superb!
Just want to say how pleased we are with the windows. The fitters did and excellent job and were extremely polite and tidy. We can not fault the quality of service from start to finish.
The windows are fantastic and have achieved our aim of greatly reducing noise in the house.
