I have used this company for years and always found the staff polite, friendly, knowledgeable,and informative I have never had a problem all goods I have purchased have been well priced. The machine services they provide for repair and or service are very professional. I have purchased on line, over the phone and at their biggin hill branch and their delivery was always timely. As an amateur I have not always used the correct terminology but the staff have always listened and advised me accordingly. As I have now recently retired my hobbies are fulfilling my time so I have the option of collecting in person from biggin hill were I was earlier today. As usual it was well worth the journey thank you all

Had to make a return as the item on the web site photo was wrong. Of course, I had to pay for it!
Two months later, no refund, no reply to my emails and phone calls, only to be finally told they didn't receive the item and expecting the customer to deal with it. Now claiming the cost through my CC company.
Stay away frome these unprofessional jokers!
Update: they are so unprofessional that they posted not one, but several blatant lies below. I sent them the Post Office receipt on September 8 and they never replied. I had to call them several times before they finally said that they had allegedly never received my parcel.

I purchased a faulty quartz movement from these crooks and tried two brand new batteries out with the one supplied which was a dud after checking so sent the movement back at my expense. They call me and let me know that they checked it and it worked fine so they are taking the p and will not refund the return postage.
I have spent a fortune at HS walsh but will not be purchasing anything again from them and will use Cousins for all my watch making requirements from now on. This is the second time I have had problems the last time they sent out faulty watch cleaning equipment and their sales buyer argued with me on the phone.
Avoid H.S Walsh at all costs cousins are buy far the cheaper .

Any views, am I being unreasonable? I have ordered several times from HSW and the service has been OK. Recently ordered some watch repair gear and 2 boxes arrived. One had my order and the other an engraver listed at several thousand pounds sent to me in error. I've no idea if they could have tracked it to me, but since unsolicited goods doesn't apply in this case, and my honest nature, meant I immediately phoned them to tell them of their error. They were pretty incredulous this could have happened and said they it was for one of their major customers and would arrange a collection the next day. I stayed in all day to be sure not to mjiss the courier, who never arrived. Another phone call the next day and they said they would definitely pick up the following day, which they did. At this point I had stayed in for 2 days, made several phone calls, retaped the box and made sure the labelling was clear. My wife said later the company must be very grateful and what compensation had they offered for my wasted time and effort not only to get the machine back to them, but to avoid their embarrassment with a major customer. I had to admit they had offered nothing and hadn't called specifically to thank me. I think some appreciation was warranted, maybe 5% off my next order? A win for both of us. In all honesty it's the lack of appreciation that rankles, do I just expect too much from my fellow humans?

They let me down badly. I ordered a special watch strap on the 11th December and paid for courier service. UPS decided it was easier for them to dump it at a so called called collection point some distance away. I am disabled, cannot leave the house. I lost count the number of times H S Walsh promised that the package will be delivered to my house before Christmas. It was not and no explanation was offered. It was part of a Christmas present,now we'll and truly ruined.

Hi i went down to HS Walsh in Birmingham to look at the Orion welders and Laser welders. I made an appointment with Anthony who was extremly helpful and ran through the pros and cons of both the laser and pulse Arc orion welders.
He let me have a go on the machines so i could get use to how they worked, there was no pressure sales just honest advice. I told Anthony i was just here to asses the two types etc. A was in the process of winding up and thanking Anthony for his time then something came over me and i thought Why Not !! and i bought the Orion C-100, i think he was alittle shocked that i had suddenly made up my mind we both had a laugh about it and the deal was done.

I phoned first to check that they had the item I wanted in stock before I placed an online order. Unfortunately for me, by the time it was processed, it was no longer in stock. I was sent an email from Sales putting my item on backorder but because I couldn't wait for more than a month, I phoned and asked for a refund. This was processed straight away, for which I am grateful. The customer service was very good and I will return.
