HSL Chairs - York Omdömen 105

Chair turned up broken so they have taken it away, I’ve spent the day chasing a new chair however they want to keep me waiting while they repair the £3000 fault chair in our time. Very disappointed.

As I am trying to get through to you or your company on the telephone but cannot get beyond recorded messages. Very disappointed with the service if the chair arrived faulty I would have expected you to have dispatched a replacement chair the same day or the following day. Currently you have just left me hanging. I’m trying to coordinate with NHS care staff to reenable my mother-in-law to return home and all I’m getting from your company is recorded messages on the telephone. You’ve made no attempt to send a replacement chair and it’s really poor and I think customers should know Stephen Turner

Visiting HSL York proved to be the right decision. Diana met us and was excellent giving us all the information. She took us around the showroom and we tried the chairs we liked and found the two chairs (both different designs)that Diana suggested were the right ones for us. We chose the colour and material from the many swatches and are looking forward to the delivery.

Store lady was wonderful - very helpful. There was a bit of a delay in delivery but Morgan sorted it out for me. The delivery guys Alex and Asaid again very helpful demonstrated it all and left once we were happy.
We are now happily trying them all out

Just received my chair this morning. Seamless delivery experience from Alex and Asad, a courtesy call 30 mins before they arrived was really helpful, and they arrived bang on time. The chair was in position within 5 mins, a quick instructional demo from Alex and all done! Fantastic service. Thank you!

We were looking for a comfortable fireside chair for my partner when visiting my house. The lady assistant was very helpful with fabrics and accessories and did not try the hard sell or rush us. She offered refreshments which was kind and assisted us in making a descision. A good experience.

Such pleasant staff who were very well versed in the product and were very patient and not pushy. Excellent quality chairs. Just love William morris fabric and amazing upholstery matched to the enth degree. Delivery as arranged by two very helpful young men. Just delighted with our new chair. Thankyou

Alex and Shane were really good, helpful and very knowledgeable about the chairs they delivered. They assembled them very quickly and explained how they worked before leaving. Highly recommended

The service we have received from HSL has been superb from start to finish, culminating in a timely delivery by Paul & Ian. They were friendly, accommodating & helpful.

Bed delivered and assembled today by Craig and Jed. They arrived when promised; went out of their way to prepare the room; were very careful negotiating narrow doorways and stairs, such that there was no damage; were polite; worked quickly and efficiently; explained and demonstrated the features of the bed. Excellent service. Nothing to fault.

We arrived at the york shop and was shown around by Diane. She showed us all the chairs with different combinations of fabrics and leathers, also all the movement the chairs were capable of. We were very grateful as she made us feel very welcome and we would definitely recommend the store to friends.

A very quiet morning full attention from two staff. Refreshments great banter decisions made with kind help and advice. Could have stayed all day!
But then it was a big order

Our two chairs have been delivered today by Alex and Michael. Lovely lads who were friendly and pleasant as well as professional.
I’ve found all the staff I’ve dealt with at HSL to be excellent to deal with.

In September 2022 I bought two Hamilton Swivel Recliners (£2000). On my chair the cushion collapsed so that it is like sitting on a piece of wood. The cushion has a 5 year guarantee but HSL say that its natural settlement and don't want to know. So even though its only two and a half years old (and with a 5 year guarantee), they have washed their hands of it. They tell me I can get an independent assessment from a firm that they recommend (yeah right) and if they find the cushion is faulty they will refund the £85 for the assessment. Fat chance of a firm that works for HSL, gets most of their business from HSL, finding in my favour. I wouldn't touch HSL with a barge pole. Following further email conversation with Simon Watson of HSL Customer Care, he says the cushion would be expected to settle over several years. I've had the chair for 2 years and 4 months, so basically paid £1000 for something not fit for purpose. I would recommend avoiding HSL, especially if you want furniture that will last.

Pleasant and polite staff who are well trained

We actually (and actively) enjoyed each aspect or phase of our purchase. Each of the members of your team that we interacted with was polite, good natured and helpful.
Ian and Paul - who delivered our chair today were, like all of your staff, friendly and efficient. They arrived exactly when they said they would, screwed the feet on and carried the chair in to the room safely and carefully.
