HSL Chairs - Caterham on the hill Omdömen 

The member of staff we saw a Caterham on the Hill was extremely helpful. She made sure that I had the correct size chair, trying various styles. The choice of fabric is vast and again she made sure I was happy with the colour I had chosen.

Pat the chair technician was brilliant! He was very knowledgeable about the range of chairs and what we needed. He also understood our budget constraints - and was very patient with our long winded decision making - so many fabric choices ! Looking forward to the chair arriving. Would definitely recommend. Thank-you again Pat.

We arrived quite late in the afternoon with a view to a quick look at what was available on our way home.

Nothing was too much trouble for Tania from the minute we pulled up in the car park to the point we left, after closing time, when we left clutching a detailed personalised quote.

Tania and her manager have a keen eye, and ear, for the customers’ needs and listen carefully to client responses to questions designed to establish the right seat for each person.

The chairs are currently in production but are awaited with excited anticipation.

Ashley and Cameron were fantastic delivering my chair. They kept in contact advising estimated delivery time and when here were very professional and assisted me moving furniture as required. I certainly recommend this company as the whole process from ordering the right item of furniture for myself and delivery of said product has been perfect. Well done HSL!

Went to the shop having got quotes from 2 competitors with 2 sisters. Both the assistants were very welcoming and did not try to sell me anything just got me to sit in chairs and kept telling me I was to big for the chairs they measured me and said they had one In the back I should try which was the correct size for my measurements I have to say all 5 of us were laughing our heads off as we left having bought a chair.

My mother and I were made to feel very comfortable, there was no hard sales or pressure, just genuine interest in our visit. The sales lady Maxine could not do enough for us, showed us all the chairs encouraged us to try them out, and made recommendations to my mother on correct size for her. Maxine didn't even pressure us to purchase on the day just encouraged us to think on it. On the whole, it was a totally refreshing experience.

Lovely helpful and personable staff (Caterham office). Really felt like they genuinely wanted to make sure the purchase was right. Made the experience surprisingly relaxed and easy.

We bought the motorised reclining two chairs and beds in January 2026, delivered in March 2026. Excellent quality and very comfortable. The HSL sales people in Caterham-on-the-Hill showroom were very helpful and professional however there was a problem with invoicing. We were initially over-charged by over £2,000! When we queried this, it was quickly sorted .

Everything about Stressless from HSL showroom to delivery on the day by Jason and Adrian was good.
One complaint is that I was not made aware in the showroom that the small wing chair could be fitted with the Star base rather than Signature base. Can this be changed. I did not see any Star only bases on any of the showroom chairs.

Jo at the Caterham on the Hill store was exceptionally helpful. She was very knowledgeable and kind to my Mum.

Patrick at HSL, Caterham was extremely helpful. He gave us advice, made suggestions that we hadn't thought of and was pleasant and easy to talk to. He was very efficient and our meeting with him was pleasurable.

Very helpful service including tea and biscuits from people who knew what I was looking for which was a really comfortable chair! Look forward to the chair arriving

Very friendly and helpful

I was made very welcome when arriving at HSL, there was no pressure to buy but was given good advice for my husbands needs. I was able to sit in as many chairs as I wanted, and was given all the necessary advice of what each chair did. I left with plenty of brochures, and after a phone call to them, received a lovely lot of samples of colours and materials.

I have very poor mobility with a very bent spine but since buying chairs from HSL my posture has improved and consequently my mobility giving me such an improved quality of life. The chairs are really supportive and I can’t recommend them enough! The whole experience of buying them was such a pleasure thanks to the lovely staff.

The local store was outstandingly good. The delivery folks were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately my (first) experience was soured because the chair and footstool both had faults with the leather. I was surprised that they passed inspection prior to despatch. To add insult to injury I’ waiting for about two weeks for someone to come and inspect them, even though the delivery operatives took pictures. I’m “storing” furniture I can’t use.

Very helpful in the showroom. Knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while I chose the right chair for me! It was delivered in 3 days and set up quickly and efficiently. I’m very happy with my purchase and the service I received. Thank you Caterham showroom!
