Friendly helpful staff in the showroom. They spent time making sure I was happy with my choice of chair and fabric.

The fact that we were left alone to try the chairs and look at the different materials.
When we had decided on one, a member of Staff went through everything clearly with us. Explained all about the chair, protection cover and when we had to pay.
Very knowledgeable and helpful.

So far so good. The service from Fiona, Andy and Carol has been excellent. We were particularly impressed that we were not pressurised in any way and my unwillingness to commit whithout having the full funds to pay was fully understood.
We do not consider that it is fallen short in an way.

Order has been placed and deposit paid. We are just waiting on delivery of the chairs.

Should I have not placed an order with HSL I am confident that the news would have been accepted professionally.

Personal attention of the staff and attention to detail. A pleasant retail experience.

Assistant could not have been more helpful. Left us to browse for as long as we wanted and then was there immediately when we wanted her. Great service and good advice.

The company will send sales staff to your home, which was great for us because travelling is difficult. The sales staff were good, patient and obliging and offered plenty of opportunities to try out the chairs. They were well informed about the furniture. The delivery experience however was not so great. Delivery was scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The delivery people were supposed to phone when close by. No one phoned us and they were late arriving as it was some time after twelve when they turned up. The ‘tracking’ link in the email was totally useless as it said 09:30 was the expected delivery time and this did not update at all. Whilst the delivery men were polite and reasonably efficient, we later discovered that the connections had been wrongly plugged in, with head and lumbar support operating in the opposite way to the buttons on the hand controller. The antimacassar and arm protectors we ordered did not arrive with the chair.
Update: We are still getting emails asking for a review! Still awaiting arm protectors and antimacassars.

What fantastic service, bought the chair to my house to try,( a 4hr drive each way).
Very helpful & knowledgeable staff, Fiona was excellent (& the driver very helpful carrying the furniture).
Over all an excellent experience.

I went to HSL in Bathgate in Scotland I dealt with Lorna and had a home visit from Carol with a Stressless chair. The service I received from the Bathgate staff especially Lorna was first class. I would recommend this company to anyone

Prompt delivery of very informative catalogue. Helpful staff on telephone to book home visit despite distance away from showroom. Carol and Andy from the Bathgate branch kept me updated on their timings on visit day and were just a delight to deal with, nothing was too much trouble, very patient and knowledgeable. Brought 3 riser recliner chairs for me to try, 5 or 6 books of swatches plus knuckle samples. I am delighted with what I have ordered.

This is the second chair I have bought in six months. The service is thoughtful and relaxed with no pressure selling. The chairs are comfortable and well made. There are many styles, sizes and fabrics available and the assistant took time to advise me and make sure the chair was right for me.
