Excellent experience. Paul the surgeon gave expert insight rather than seeing a salesman. Wasn't motivated by a sale when I wouldn't benefit from transplant due to lack of donor hairs and hair loss too far progressed. Would recommend.

I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with HQ Hair in Cardiff. After years of considering a hair transplant and continually putting it off, I finally booked a consultation with the team, and from that moment on, the entire process was seamless. Every step of the journey made me feel comfortable, valued, and fully involved in the decision-making process.

What could have been an intimidating 8-hour procedure felt more like a relaxed catch-up with friends, thanks to the team’s professionalism and warmth. The excellent aftercare only reinforced that experience, and now, 12 months later, I not only have a restored hairline but also a renewed sense of confidence.

Before I had my consultation with HQ I was shopping around the whole of the UK doing my due diligence of research and of course this was something that I wanted done for several years before even looking to part with any money. Then after several different consultations I was recommended to HQ and also being from Cardiff it made a lot of sense to have some meetings and talk about the procedure. Of course the rest is history and after paying the deposit and having very informative conversations the settle amount was paid just before surgery took place and the service was impeccable. I can only recommend HQ Cardiff for any hair transplant procedures as in my opinion they are the best practice in Wales and possibly one of the best in the UK.

I found HQ via a work friend with insane hair. I asked how is your hairline so good? He recommended me to HQ and I’m so glad to went through with it.

At first I didn’t know what to expect. I’m not one for watching videos online before, I trusted what I seen in person.

I previously went to turkey for my teeth a few years back. During my little holiday I witnessed plenty of heads looking very sore which quickly made my decision I won’t ever get that done.

At HQ Hair Transplants, in Cardiff, it was a completely different vibe. Surgeons, receptionist, doctors, are all on the same team here. This is a place which felt so welcoming and had great communication from the get go despite my nerves.

Turns out there was absolutely nothing to worry about. I was chilled, we had music, Netflix and snacks. At HQ it really is a vibe, everyone is so happy and fun to get along with, but serious also in situations to when you may feel nervous.

A couple of pinchy injections, not even 60 seconds later, I couldn’t feel a thing for the whole procedure. Just enjoying the ride and having a blast.

I honestly cannot wait for the full growth results, I already feel so much confidence in the presence.

We found Head Quarters online, having been messed about by a clinic near Swansea.
My partner Wendy underwent PRP/Mesotherapy treatments over three sessions, and the results were astonishing! The three sessions were six weeks apart, and progress can be measured by the fact that after the first session, Wendy left conscious of the fact that she was unable to wear her hairpiece for the journey home, to attending six weeks later without needing it!
The results have literally been life-changing, and we can't thank the staff at Head Quarters enough.
The staff do all they can to make you feel welcome, and reassure you by talking you through what will happen.
Yes, you can feel the needle pricks (so I am told!), but a little discomfort is worth it for the results.

My experience with HQ Hair Transplants has been phenomenal from start to finish. From the initial consultation to surgery day and every follow-up appointment, the team has been consistently professional and supportive.

The results of my hair transplant have been truly life-changing. Dr Frances and Dr Egan performed my surgery, and are extremely skilled at their work, and my new hairline looks incredibly natural and dense.

Outstanding, professional service from start to finish. Been a life changing 12 months, having reached a low point in life, this service and procedure has really help restore my confidence. Excellent care throughout the process, not just taking the money and leaving you to it. Even the shampoo recommended has made a huge difference to the non transplanted areas. Who’d of thought my favourite rugby player as a kid would be in- future , sorting out my lid haha 😝

Recently had hair transplant surgery here, had 3,000 grafts on the front third of my head. Great experience all the way through from initial consultation, meeting with the surgeon, the surgery itself and the aftercare.
Top level quality and very reasonably priced for the high standard of care/treatment given by HQ in Cardiff.
My biggest worry was the surgery day itself, but I have to say it really was a breeze.
The surgeon was very attentive and made sure my head was numb so I barely felt a thing (I even fell asleep during some parts of it!) and the team supporting the surgeon were all great too. I felt I was in good hands.
I was given as much food, drinks & snacks as I wanted and you can take plenty of breaks throughout the surgery too. They even have a big TV with Netflix etc too. So the day actually went quite quickly.
Over the next week my head has recovered really well, to the point where you can’t even see where they took the hair grafts from (I had FUE surgery). I think this is partly due to the level of quality and care by the surgeon and team during the surgery itself, which I think makes a big difference for recovery.
I’m also really happy with my new hairline, there was a huge attention to detail and artistry to make it look both natural and suit my particular head/face. I’m sure it’s going to be a huge difference once the new hairs grow over the coming months!

Really happy with the results!

I had my hair transplant in August 2024. Dr Matt, made it clear what results I could achieve. Unfortunately, my donor area wasn't good enough (my hair is too sparse), so I was not able to increase my hairline, instead the gaps in my crown and top were filled. In hindsight, this was the correct thing to do, at the front there is a good mix of natural and donor hair, so it does not look like I've had a transplant!

For the procedure itself, the only pain I felt was getting the anesthetic put in. I was well fed and the procedure lasted around 8 hours.

Sleeping was the hardest part, it's awkward sleeping upright and if you go too long without the pain relief, the pain does come back.

I'm very happy with the results, nobody can tell I've had a hair transplant. The only person that has was about 4 months ago, when I had a new barber cut my hair, he saw the donor scars close up and asked.

Ever since I noticed my hairline receding at 15, getting a hair transplant had been on my mind. Fast-forward to age 32, I finally decided to bite the bullet, and choosing HQ Hair Transplants was the best decision I could have made.
