As a service 'good', as a business... not so much.
As a service, pretty good. As a business, not so much. I joined in March 2025 as my accountant no longer offered their address for use as my registered company address. Just over a year after joining on the 'Hoxton Mix's Virtual Office Scan Lite (annual saver)' and I have had two 'price adjustments' that cranked the price from £200 to £250. No improvement in service, no reason give, just 'we can do it'. A classic case of a subscription service milking their customers. They clearly realised it's a big chore to change and are making the most of that inertia. Consider yourself warned.

We completely understand that any price increase can be frustrating. Over the past few years, the cost of operating a regulated UK business has increased materially. This includes higher employer National Insurance contributions, rising business rates, increased wage and energy costs (with no price cap protection for businesses), and higher regulatory supervision and compliance requirements for Trust & Company Service Providers.
We’ve worked really hard to absorb as much of those increases as possible before adjusting pricing.
The annual plan moved from £229.99 to £249.99, an increase of £20 per year, which works out at 5 pence per day. We appreciate that it’s not just about the amount, but about perceived value, and that’s fair feedback.
Alongside rising costs, we’ve invested heavily into improving the platform, including AI-powered mail scanning, fraud detection, spam filtering, smart classification, and wider infrastructure upgrades. There are further enhancements being rolled out over the coming months.
If it feels like we haven’t communicated those improvements clearly enough, that’s something we take seriously and will reflect on.

Fixed, great service on escalation -- cancellation policies
Edit -- the company has resolved this issue. I am leaving the original text below as others might hit it - if you get a subscription via a bank or company formation service like through Tide, when they cancel, it can cause mixups. The initial response wasn't great but after a few escalations, Hoxton Mix have entirely fixed this and restored the service.

If you pay for an annual subscription and submit a cancellation partway through, they cancel immediately, not at the date of next renewal. This is not standard practice and is deeply unethical, a form of cheating people out of money and making them re-open on a new subscription to get final mail. I don't expect a refund but I also expect that service I've paid for continues.
They also hide behind service providers if you come to them through e.g. Tide. While they obviously control how they react to cancellations, they will try to pretend it's the other party's fault. Again, deeply unethical and trying to extract whatever they can.

We’d like to provide a clear factual timeline for transparency:
• HMRC Corporation Tax UTR Letter – dated 18 August 2025, received at Hoxton Mix on 21 August 2025, scanned and uploaded to your portal the same day at 11:33am. You were notified by email immediately.
• HMRC Corporation Tax Activation Code Letter – dated 16 August 2025, received at Hoxton Mix on 20 August 2025, scanned and uploaded to your portal the same day at 14:12pm. You were notified by email immediately. (Please note: HMRC codes automatically expire after 30 days — in this case, on 18 September 2025.)
Our support system also responded promptly to your enquiries:
• On 22 August, when you first asked about missing documents, our team replied the same morning confirming the HMRC letter had been scanned and uploaded.
• On 27 August, when you enquired again, our team replied within the hour, confirming the activation code had been received and processed.
• Across subsequent messages, every query was acknowledged within business hours, often within minutes, confirming exactly what had been received and uploaded .
Further to this, on 24 September 2025, our CEO personally reached out, re-attached both letters, and explained next steps .
For clarity:
• All post we receive is processed on the same working day, usually within hours.
• Every item is barcoded, timestamped, and uploaded with a full audit trail.
• Customers are notified by email as soon as scans are available in the portal.
• The Hoxton Mix has no affiliation with HMRC or Companies House, and we cannot generate or resend codes — only HMRC can issue a replacement if one expires.
We completely understand how frustrating HMRC delays can be. But the evidence shows that all of your post was processed accurately and without delay on our side, and made available to you in your customer portal the same day it was received.
We are always happy to work with our customers to help get things rectified, but it’s important that reviews reflect the actual facts.
