Superb company to deal with
Ordered new back door from house of windows. Wow, what a helpful company to deal with. From first point of contact they were superb. Order confirmation was emailed with in a couple of hours of me placing order with a lead time of 3 to 4 weeks delivery, great. However I received an email to say door was ready for delivery after just 2 weeks.this was then followed up by a phone call to check if delivery date was convenient and giving a 3 hour delivery window. Superb communication superb quality product and a very fair price. Putting an extension up in new year and will definitely be using House of Windows again.

Not top quality, parts missing and poor customer service.
UPVc windows. The air vents, internal flaps and external covers are extremely thin and flimsy. So much so that I accidentally knocked two of external covers gently and they snapped off. I had to use hot-melt glue to put them back on. Strangely, there are 3 mounting holes with plug in caps that haven't been used, so I had to purchase separately stainless steel screws (Screwfix) to attach them securely. Why they were not used I have no idea; maybe to save the cost of 3 screws per vent perhaps?
The "Fit kits" they sell are way short of the required number of spacers so, again, I had to order a large pack from Amazon to complete the job. Also, I paid for 2 packs and only 1 was sent - so I am still waiting for the second pack to arrive. The cost of these Fit Packs is extortionate compared with what Amazon (and B&Q) sell.
The windows I received didn't contain any "Glazing Platforms" which are required to hold the glazing. Without these the strength of the windows would be compromised. I am still waiting for an answer on where they are and when I will get them.
Despite my previous review on Trustpilot I have now had more time to examine the quality of the windows. They are massively inferior quality from windows I had installed in my home 10 years or so ago. I suppose this is a sign of the times as the quality of new home builds these days, although meeting building standards and regulations, has fallen dramatically in recent years. All very cheap and shoddy now and some of the components have been reduced to extremely thin dimensions to save pennies. Very poorly designed.
Adding: There is another problem. If you order Cills then they require special screws to attach the Cill to the frame; they have a larger head than normal screws. The screws don't come with the cills, nor with the windows. They are in the "Fit packs" which you have to pay extra for (very expensive for what you get). Why House of Windows don't include them with the Cills I don't know.
Multiple emails and Facebook messages to the company are slowly resulting in a trickle of the items missing but House of Windows needs to get its house in order. The whole experience is fraught with problems.
Update:
Eventually House of Windows agreed to send me the missing Glazing Platforms. However, they argued that they weren't strictly necessary as the packing spacers would work OK. Well, that contradicts their own video (on Youtube - not allowed to post it here but search for: "7 reasons why you should be using Liniar glazing platforms"). These platforms not only help strengthen the window frame but they suspend the glass from sitting in water (which would quickly ruin them). But if the packing spacers were to be used they don't provide them, unless you opted to purchase their expensive "Fit Kits", which don't contain enough anyway. So now I am still waiting for the promised Glazing Platforms to arrive and no sign of them yet. Meanwhile I have two windows installed without glass fitted and the weather is awful at the moment and trying to keep the rain out of the open frames is a task. Strangely enough the above mentioned video talks about the advantages of their windows from Bi-Fold doors to ...... the much overlooked Glazing Platforms. No comment needed I think.
The sag continues and no doubt there will be more to come.........
Finally...... The Glazing Platforms have arrived and hopefully I can finish the job ..... 2 weeks late.

Buy With Confidence - Great Company
I have placed four orders covering seven windows of various styles. My impressions are of a great company that's easy to deal with. Accurate information and quick turn around on all orders. Frame quality and units are excellent.
Three different drivers covered deliveries, and all were most helpful. A pleasure to deal with.
Had one "chipped" unit on a corner, so needed a replacement. This was done quickly with no fuss.
