They say you are a customer when you are not. Send many spam emails. Say you can't unsubscribe if you are a customer. All a scam to get you in and paying. Hotjar is an internet and email scam.

Don't do tasks for hotjar, unless you'll have a lot of money to begin with. Else you'll hit high negative numbers and wouldn't be able to buy yourself out. They won't tell you, how high the numbers can be. For me it was 3 times I'm investing at that moment. Don't trust them, if you don't want to loose money

Great tool for analyzing your visitors' behavior, however, it's quite expensive in the long run

So, I've been using Hotjar for a while now, and it's been pretty cool to get some helpful insights into how our website is doing. It's definitely been useful for understanding what our users are up to and making some tweaks to make their experience even better.

But here's the thing that's been bugging me a bit - the session recording. Hotjar's great and all, but it seems to have a blind spot when it comes to recording organic traffic. You know, those visitors who find us through search engines? It doesn't catch their sessions, which is a bummer. It'd be super awesome to know how they navigate our site, but Hotjar misses that part.

With Hotjar Surveys you can't even add questions with +/- 25 answers. The popup function cannot handle this because the answers then fall out of view and you cannot scroll in the popup.

The tool is a must if you want to analyze your customers' traffic and improve the user experience of your website. It is a bit more expensive, which is why 4 stars

Quite happy with the features and ability to filter traffic. The paid plans could be better, they cover only part of your traffic even when you’re paying monthly quite a bit…

So sad, it was such a great product where I would seasonally pay the subscription.
Their new agenda is to squeeze out every Cent by removing one feature after another, leaving the free version as good as useless!
Don't say are for small businesses, these times are over.

They went from a tool you could use very affordably to penny-pinching every little feature. It's crazy how slimey they are, making you spend hundreds of dollars a month for arbitrary limits (eg. having tiny response limits and charging you a boatload to get more).

I get they want to start monetizing, but this does more damage than good in terms of bringing in customers.

I will be looking elsewhere for the exact same functionality that is much cheaper. Thanks

they deleted the best features (manual heatmaps) to replace them with a very bad option of continuous heatmaps. They also removed all historic data from the system. That is up to 10x more expensive. Will cancel the contract now.

Great experience. Really helped with the onboarding and we have gained some valuable insights.

I don’t get any recordings for almost 24 hours!!! Lost tons of information and they don’t understand how to fix this!!!

I loved this service for the first years but... For the same plan, the price doubled with 2 different increases in just 2 years and of course with just one month of notice (just an email). But a lot of features were removed or were limited (such as recording daily limit). To have the same features as before you have to switch to the upper plans, if we consider that scenario the cost is 3x or 4x (it depends on the situation) and in just 2 years...

Overall it's a good tool.
You can find free alternatives (MS has one) but with less features. My main issue is with the heatmaps snippets (sometimes it's messed up).

The best software for tracking website visitors! Everyone should use it! I am able to gain so many different insights!

Amazing software for tracking visitors on your website. They recently increased prices and they are a bit expensive now. If you need to gain insights about your website, I really recommend them, you will be able to improve your website!

They had a technical problem which prevents me to add VAT number to my account. The support suggested to try another time. I tried 3 consecutive days without success and ask them to assist. They stopped replying and I am paying customer.

Now they fixed the issue for me, still took a lot of time.
