We bought a bungalow which was owned by the homefit directors and as part of the sale we had a choice of kitchen and an agreement for a new bathroom and a new en-suite. The kitchen has been fitted and also the en-suite. However the bathroom is very sub standard and the shower leaked and dripped constantly also the grout on the floor tiles was always damp/wet. We got in touch with homefit and they came and replaced the shower and took the bath panel off and it was soaked underneath the bath the homefit plumber said he would come back today (10/7/26) however the lady we have been dealing with said Fenton (the owner of homefit) is back and he says if any work is to be done now it will be chargeable. So we have a bath panel leaning against the wall, a soaking floor underneath the bath and damp/wet grouting which smells. So not good customer service by Homefit

I had a kitchen replacement in a York bungalow May-June 2026 by Home Fit. The Kitchen work was well planned after several discussions with me, sending me computer impressions etc. The work kept very strictly to both the agreed design as well as to the alloted time-schedule. An excellent standard of work has been done and the price was very reasonable. I recommend the company very highly.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Homefit. Over a year later, we are still dealing with issues caused by a contractor they recommended.

The workmanship was poor, the bathroom was left unfinished, and there were numerous problems, including a faulty extractor fan, gaps around radiator pipes, and incomplete plumbing. The contractor also left our home in a disgraceful state, with rubbish, food and cigarette butts left behind.

Despite raising our concerns, Homefit refused to take responsibility for recommending this individual. Their lack of accountability has been incredibly frustrating, and we have had to spend additional time and money rectifying the problems.

We will not be using Homefit again and would advise others to proceed with caution.

Home Fit UK have just completed our en suite bathroom. It is an excellent job, both from an end product quality view and the low hassle during construction. Karl and Warick who undertook the work were excellent.

I would definitely have them do further work.

A thoroughly professional approach from start to finish for two separate tasks; a wet room complete refurbishment and an interior wall removal and rebuild to complete a kitchen diner.
Excellent guidance in choice and design followed by a superb execution of the jobs by in house craftsmen who not only did a great job but respected and protected the rest of the house.
The projects were fully managed by homefit unlike many providers who just sell the equipment and provide phone numbers for the tradespeople

Not a good experience.
The original start date we were offered by HomeFitUK was April 2nd but then we got a call offering to bring it forward due to a cancellation as they knew we had originally wanted it done for Easter- so we happily agreed.
Unfortunately, on Monday March 18th the day the work was due to start, an email arrived stating that
" due to an overrun on the previous job, they wouldn't be starting until Tuesday March 19th".
We weren't too concerned thinking they'd catch up the lost day.
To our surprise, most of the time only one man was assigned to do the work( stripping out,plastering,tiling and joinery) with electricians and plumbers popping in then leaving.
He worked very hard but there's only so much one person can do.

So how have things gone since ?

Firstly, the wrong number of floor tiles were ordered and this held the work up, secondly the young plumber who had asked to see the radiator we had sourced was shown it AND the matching valves.
He asked where we wanted the pipes to go into the radiator and was told we didn't know and referred again to the supplied valves that went with the radiator.
The valves would have been fine if they'd put the pipes through the floor but instead they came through the wall.
So, although the young
? apprentice plumber did say it would be neater, but we were not told that this would mean purchasing different valves and the ones supplied would not do.
The valves box was marked STRAIGHT which should mean something to a plumber if not the customer.
Then, because of no working on Easter Friday/Monday, which had not been made clear at the time of the changed start date,even more time over and above the first day was lost.

As of April 2nd

* the tiles have still not arrived and we had to reluctantly agree to the sink units being installed onto partial plywood flooring behind the sink units to prevent further installation delays
* the different valves needed have had to be ordered as rather than "straight " they need to be "knuckle or angled " connections and will take a further week to arrive
* The mirror brought by the fitters was the wrong one and that too needs to be replaced and then fitted
* Clearly, the work was not completed in time for Easter

All of these problems were relayed to both a company Director and the young lady who prepared the original quote and although we did hear from her, there has been no response from the Director.

We went with HomeFit UK because we wanted a good quality job with minimal fuss and stress as being in our 70s this was very important to us.
Even though they were expensive and we had to pay in advance,we thought it better than having to source all individual trades ourselves.
As it is,we've now been without a bathroom (thankfully we do have another) for more than 2 weeks with no end in sight and having been pretty much tied to the house for days on end.

We were careful and before placing our order, looked at their reviews on Trust Pilot and while small in number, they were completely positive.

Our experience has been quite different and it will not now be until Thursday April 11th when the rest of the work will be completed on our small bathroom.
We'll then need to test it out and hope that all is well, after which we will then update this review.
Update- June
The missing tiles were fitted but shortly afterwards, we noticed some had a creamy colour background and some white.
We had to send pictures of the problem and then had to insist that someone came and saw for themselves.
After trying to clean the " cream" tiles, they agreed there was indeed a difference and it was not surface based.
It was then arranged that they would refit the floor and this was finished on June 14th.
Unfortunately the oak door which they had removed was re fitted to tightly and is pressing into the frame- they're coming back to correct that and we will then pay the outstanding bill.
All in all it's been a stressful time and much as we like to support and recommend local firms( we had an excellent roofer/kitchen fitter/ wardrobe fitter) we cannot recommend HFUK.
We'd asked in view of all the problems that they examine the final part of the bill - most had already been paid before they started- but this was refused without even a token amount being deducted for all the stress and inconvenience caused.
Afraid there were further problems, overly tight fitting door and a shower drain that was poorly fitted and had detached below the shower tray.
Never have we had so many problems with such a project.
Regretfully, the 2 star rating needs to be reduced to 1 so others are forewarned about the standards offered by HomeFit Uk

Really good service! Was looking for an additional unit for the kitchen, I sent a picture of the existing kitchen to Kerry and explained the unit I wanted and she responded with a quote of exactly everything I wanted. A brilliant customer service. I attempted to retreive quotes from elsewhere from the unit but I found it very faffy as they wanted me to specify all the details. Kerry got it all from a picture and it was spot on! I'm hoping to be able to update my review with a picture once we've fitted it

Good communication, good job and tidied up afterwards which is more than a lot of tradesmen do!

My experience with Home Fit was excellent from start to finish. They recently refurbished my en-suite bathroom. The job went perfectly without a single problem. Sally and Warwick were extremely helpful with initial guidance and advice. Carl the fitter was fantastic. Really respectful of my home and he kept disruption to the minimum. I am over the moon with my new en-suite and I have no hesitation in recommending Home Fit to everyone.

From the start of the design process, they were superb. We had detailed discussions about the specifications and detailing of the project. A couple of meetings were held at their showroom near Pocklington which allowed me to view a number of the different bathroom options which are showcased there. Nothing was too much trouble, I was talked through different options and the implications of different types and styles of bathroom.

Once decisions had been made, a date was set and Carl, their fitter arrived to make a start on the project. The service he gave was second to none. He was very professional, polite, courteous and extremely tidy throughout the week. Once completed the bathroom was checked over by Warick and everything was signed off. From start to finish the process was absolutely seamless and carried out with the upmost professionalism.

Homefit have achieved an outstanding quality bathroom for my home . I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family. They have with a large team of extremely professional fitters whilst still managing to retain the service levels, values and personal touch of a caring family business.
