My overall experience with Hippo Video was very positive. The platform is easy to use and lets you record and share personalized videos, making marketing and sales communication more engaging and professional. I especially liked the clean interface and the ability to track viewer engagement through analytics. While some advanced features are limited in the free version, it still provides great value and functionality. Overall, Hippo Video is a useful tool that I would recommend to marketing professionals, sales teams, and small businesses looking to improve communication through video.

I have a lifetime account, and it's never been an issue. Now my videos are not saving, so after I record one, it just isn't there. I have contacted support many times, and they always tell me they will elevate the issue and fix it, and they never do. It is the worst support ever.

I had a Hippo Video account for about 7 months, and everything was fine until the beginning of 2025 when the core functionality of the website stopped working. I wanted to create an AI photo avatar, a function that costs only 50 cent per minute. The website told me that I was out of AI creation credits. Then I purchased $50 dollars worth of them. I came back a week later to create the avatar. But the interface to create the avatar was gone from the website. I contacted support, which took 2h to get back to me, and then said they would contact me by mail. I lost patience, and cancelled the account. Maybe I was impatient, and the solution was in the confuion between "Ai video avatar" and "Ai photo avatar", but support should have picked up on that.

Worst support, I don't like the user interface and user experience.

The support is horrible and they ignore once you paid them money/purchased a subscription plan and after that they any support request and there can go weeks before they answer.

They made it impossible to mange your payment details. There is no such billing interface in your where you can update, add a new payment card/method. instead you must ask support which then upon your request (if they answer you), will send you a special link which gives you temporary access to your payment details.

Very shady indeed!
By doing so they can of course block you completely from accessing your company´s payment card and removing it.

They are an Indian company too and use western names to hide that you get support etc. from an Indian person, so basically they are lying to you from the start when they chat with you.

Yet another red flag!

The product/service they are selling itself is somewhat fine, but there are many areas where it could be improved. They spam their own branding in their code even though you paid of it and they tell you that if you are a on paid plan then you are white labeled. This is not entirely true...

It's truly sad and grossly disappointing that after more than 10 days of back and forth chatting on your website about upgrading my account, there's be no action taken. Not the support I was anticipating and hopefully others in our community are not experiencing the same. On this basis, would not recommend your platform to anyone.

Hippo Video is more than a video hosting solution. They are a great sales tool as well. Th onboarding experience is solid - they have videos to help you through most things that you would have questions with. So far, I am impressed with the platform.
