I think the communication and service was great although there was a problem with the keys, possibly caused by my pushing hard for a quick service .

Poor service, overpriced
After this company worked on my home several electrical problems started. They refused to come and check and asked for extra payment to rectify the problems generated by their own work. Do not recommend, overpriced and under delivered.

Good overall service
Great engineers. They booked the initial survey with our agents / vendor for the property we were purchasing and then received the report i think around 5-6 working days later. We then undertook the recommend work to get a satisfactory report and received the certificate within 2 working days.
Our initial booking for remedial work had to be rebooked due to staff sickness which we accommodated. However, it would be helpful if the company was slightly more responsive to the emails we sent, for instance when we asked to rearrange as well. We were unable to get confirmation our request had been received and then our final appointment also got moved to the afternoon without informing us having been waiting at the property since 9am (when we were told it would take place).
All in all would recommend, but it would be great if they improved speediness of responses.

I found the whole experience great

I hate to leave bad reviews but I have…
I hate to leave bad reviews but I have no alternative now.
I have paid for an EICR test- unsatisfactory.
Paid for the remedial works a month ago. Since then all communication has stopped. I’ve sent several emails, tried calling several times with no answer.
As this is for a rental property, I’d assume a company would take more responsibility in communication on compliance related legislation.
UPDATE 18th SEPTEMBER:
I had a voicemail left after this review. I emailed back as I was on an appointment with the correct person to contact- email ignored & no further forward.

This is the third property I have used
This is the third property I have used Hexo electrical services for.
each time they have provided a very fast and efficient service.
Their engineers are not time wasters and just get on with the job.
The quotes are very reasonable and I have managed to get the properties updated for a few hundred pounds.
I have already recommended Hexo to my friends who have also used their services. I cannot speak more highly of them.

Thank you for your feedback.
The review of your smoke alarms in the property is a service we offer free of charge.
It is not part of the EICR, and they do not have an effect on the outcome.
The inspector put on his report that he was unsure of the expiry date of the alarms so we have offered you a price in the C3 'recommendations' to replace these.
If our remedial engineers find that a certain part of the works quoted for are not actually required they are instructed to inform us immediately and a refund is given.
You have a total of SIX C2 faults in the property which have made the EICR fail. For these we have quoted £340 plus VAT to fix and re-issue a satisfactory EICR. Hardly a king's ransom to ensure the safety of your tenants.
